ohhhhh mah gawd theres so many posts on this blog to edit/hide man @-@ gonna be tons of work going into this (with time I don't have!!! i got university goin on) and need to change the blog theme and stuff BUT on the bright side i genuinely am regaining inspo for not only this au but some of my other bnha wips that never saw the light of day which is cool :3

oh also heads up that i'm thinking of changing the au and blog url to something along the lines of "butterflyverse" in reference to the origin of this au changing (instead being a "butterfly effect" result of someone's quirk wishing for "the world to be filled with more kindness" and that wish quirk affecting AFO before the final fight with Nana and that causing a chain reaction)

in no particular order, here are au plot points that never got around to being properly announced (individual posts on certain subjects incoming...maybe):

- villain mic and traitor kaminari (in which kaminari previously worked for mic) - civilian/unwilling accomplice overhaul (plague rat.) - nedzu is the head of the yakuza - akatani mikumo disappears to go to shiketsu - hawks is the head of an elite group of villains (with a 7 deadly sins theme)

answered wayyyy after the fact (considering this au’s discontinued already) but for the sake of finally putting hidden information out there: the moon actually represents the aizawa of this au!

since mic never went to hero school or became a hero, the rooftop trio of this au has always been aizawa, shirakumo, and ms joke (mostly bc i thought the dynamic she and aizawa has in this au was fun and i misremembered her age)

after graduating, the three of them formed a hero agency together, with ms joke and shirakumo being the faces of the agency and aizawa still going underground despite being connected

aizawa staying out the spotlight also really helps fuel his willingness to be a bit more... morally grey for selfish reasons in this au. heroes and villains are supposed to be at odds with each other, but...

Hi.

As I’m sure anyone who remembers this blog can tell (since there haven’t been any new posts in uhh *checks watch* basically two years) this au is discontinued.

Sorry I never made a formal announcement about it before! Life gets in the way and all that. I’m not here to make any excuses, just to give anyone still here a long overdue formal farewell.

This blog is still going to be up for archival purposes, so don’t worry about it going poof anytime soon! As much as I would like to, I won’t be deleting this blog. Over the next few days (if I have the energy) I’ll be posting the drafts I’ve kept the whole time, and I’ll also release the plans/lore I had for the au. If anyone wants to take up the mantle, please feel free.

If you’re curious, here are my reasons for quitting:

Lack of ideas. Bnha is a show/manga with a HUGE cast, and knowing enough about every single character to make a version of them that’s opposite in personality but still connected enough to the original is hard. Trying to keep things along the lines of the original plot is also really hard! Especially considering I didn’t really keep up w the manga and thus didn’t know a lot of what’s to come, it made things really difficult :( It’s easy to lose touch w the storyline when you’re behind! Plus, I’ve never wanted to make this just a complete villain/hero au flip, which probably would’ve been the easy track given the theme of opposites OTL

Loss of interest. Unfortunately, I don’t control what I do or don’t fixate on ;u; Once my mind latched onto other things with no sign of coming back to bnha, I kinda knew it was over even when I didn’t want to admit it :’) I also really don’t like the direction bnha is going in at the moment, so even the source material has lost me 😔 I highly doubt I’ll be coming back to this fandom in full :(

This au no longer brings me joy. Ultimately, all things done in spare time should be done w the intent of having fun! At some point, I lost the spark I had for this blog, partially bc I got too busy for it but mostly bc...it didn’t make me happy anymore. I got a lot of “will this be continued?” comments on the fic for this au pretty early on too, so I felt more and more pressure whenever someone else joined the bandwagon to ask and I hadn’t finished the next chapter yet. This combined w the fact that I feel the need to put on a cheery, showhost-esque front for all my posts made it really hard to enjoy what I was doing. Granted, I didn’t have to, but I pressured myself into it anyway. Even now, I’m more formal and restrained than I want to be. This post, like all the others I’ve ever made on this blog, will probably be meticulously checked over and over for errors or appropriateness in tone before being published. It’s pretty easy to see why the way I run this blog leads to quick burnout. Personally, I don’t think there’s really a point to managing something that constantly stresses me out ;u;

Lack of engagement. Admittedly, this is partially my fault! I waited and kept future au update ideas hidden/unclear with the intent to build suspense and keep you all guessing before I finally revealed them...but almost no one ever stepped forward to guess? I tried to put as many hints as possible in important lore related posts and even made several attempts to encourage asks about said posts, making a list w all of them and a tag for them, but I only ever received a handful of speculation asks. It was...really discouraging! I didn’t know if my posts were appealing to people. I couldn’t reveal things I wanted to bc I had no idea if anyone had caught on yet. I hoped for a cheeky back and forth between me and the audience, but it was more like speaking to an empty auditorium! I’m not blaming anyone ofc, but it was definitely a factor.

Overall, I just didn’t want to anymore, and I think that’s reason enough ;u;

Just a quick update/heads up/announcement: I might post more drawings to this blog, albeit in a messier and more simplistic style. Allowing myself to post sketches makes things a lot easier since I don’t have to stress over small details, do proper lineart, or color! Bnha characters as a whole are kind of difficult for me to draw, so I’ll try my best! I’m just trying not to let perfectionism get in the way of producing content anymore so I can make more stuff! This blog returns!

Wow, now that was quite the hiatus, wasn’t it folks? Sorry for the inactivity! I’ve been taking a break from this blog and tumblr as a whole for mental health reasons, but I believe I may be making a comeback soon! Not only have I been slipping back into the bnha fandom (which I had unfortunately left for...quite a while, actually!) but I’ve been planning on finishing watching Season 4 of the anime! I’m working on smoothing out some of the plotholes the 2p bnha lore has caused in relation to canon events, so I hope to come to a good conclusion soon! With what I’ve changed, the overhaul arc is...a bit of a challenge to work with. I hope it will all come to your liking when I’m finished, though! Thank you all so much for being patient with me as always. I’m going to get to work and get back to a bunch of things I left to gather dust! Wish me luck, and thank you all again for sticking around despite my lack of activity! I’m going to try my absolute best to come up with content you all enjoy! I will do so gladly, dear listener!

In terms of personality, 2p Kaminari is much more lowkey than his amped up canon counterpart. He’s got a chill aura and an unflappable demeanor, able to look flawlessly cool without breaking a sweat. He’s also pretty thrifty, able to turn any old outfit into something real stylish! He doesn’t really care too much about what’s trendy or popular at the moment—he just goes it the way he wants to. He’s not affected by others’ opinions of him, which only serves to up his coolness factor!

He’s also a bit of a loner, so he doesn’t really enjoy hanging out with other people or making friends. He’s more the kind of person you have to actively make an effort to befriend and drag into a friend group, though he does have a place alongside 2p Yaoyorozu, 2p Tokoyami, 2p Jirou, and a few others in the Cool Group of the class. He generally tends to keep people at arm’s length, and some might even say that his distant nature makes him come off as cold or even a bit...suspicious.

Compared to 2p Iida, who is a wannabe delinquent, 2p Kaminari’s the real deal. He’s got a whole host of skills and abilities that are a little on the sneaky side. Nobody in class really knows what he’s capable of, and he can be very shady sometimes. This, on top of the fact that he seems to be trying extra hard to prove himself, leads some people to secretly believe he may have been or is still involved in something illegal. Whether this is true is a question 2p Kaminari himself will not answer.

Unfortunately, this is all I can say for now...but more can be revealed with a few choice questions! Try looking through my lore hint tag (#that’s foreshadowing!) for more ideas on what to ask, and thank you so, so much for your interest in the AU! I love answering asks, and they keep this blog going!

I'm sorry I've just been thinking about this a lot and I can't help but see 2!p Overhaul as to much of a himbo to run the Yakuza so he tries to pull a ratatouille. Or like he isn't in the family at all.

As for 2p Overhaul, you’re definitely correct about him not running the Yakuza at all. I’m trying my best to get his introduction post out, but I can absolutely assure you that he has...a rather interesting position in the whole operation. It’s definitely different from canon, I can tell you!

And yes! 2p Overhaul is such a lovable dumbass. A true himbo. High intellect with dirt poor wisdom.

Just wanna say I've been thinking about 2!p Overhaul and how he definitely has a pet raccoon and is most likely absolutely convinced it's a cat.

You know, you’re actually partially correct! He did have a rather unusual pet at some point, one that others found rather odd despite 2p Overhaul himself finding nothing wrong about him!

His pet was a rat! A rather big rat at that, looking almost like a dog or a bear or something else...
