It really is so unfair to watch her improve only to have the x-rays tell us it might be cancer. She’s only 10. We deserve years left. She went from not wanting to move at all and having to be picked up off the couch and refusing treats to this and then we get THAT update. :’)

She has felt a lot better,

But based on the x-rays they think it might be bone cancer :’)

She’s been having medical issues again :’’) anyone who wants to spare some positive vibes for us, we could really use them

she’s had a knot on her head that didn’t respond to antibiotics and is making her feel miserable, lots of swelling and inflammation, and so we’re trying to get a diagnosis and I am praying the cheaper options yield some answers bc we’re already in debt :’)

#cancer wasn’t even really on my radar at first #bc that lump cropped up within hours and AT that size #it hasn’t really changed this whole time #and that just seemed insanely sudden for a tumor?? #idk I would love the universe to stop punching me

She has been feeling a bit better though as you can see, her eye beneath the knot is still quite irritated/the eyelids swollen.

She's back to being excited about treats, snuggles, walkies, and eating her kibble, though. For a good two days or so she just laid in the same spot on the couch and did not want to move at all. So the bounce is back in her step and she's moving with a bit more ease.

Still the matter of treating whatever the knot is and we need those answers first, but we're glad to see her feeling a little more herself!

No answers today, they couldn’t get to her x-rays.

Loaded up with meds and rescheduled for Weds. I just hope we’re able to keep her comfortable until then.

so because of all the everything -- losing my dog, grieving my dog, all the weeks leading up to this of her being ill, and all the care she required, and the weeks of agonizing over decisions and things -- i have been a complete wreck and less than productive with my work lately. i get paid by the article. and i have not been consistently producing very many articles. my job is very understanding but I am really feeling the pay cut right now. if anyone has a few spare bucks to throw our way I do still have a ko-fi here. it would primarily go toward dog food and dog-related things, possibly also some human food.
