me and @tohru-sohma were talking about this, but god i think it says so fucking much about kyo that it’s not his love for tohru being unrequited that terrifies him. it’s the thought that she might actually feel the same way that scares the shit out of him. he tells himself that he’s absolutely fine to just treasure the time he has left with tohru and then let her go, but when he starts considering that she might have feelings for him too, it changes everything for him. it complicates and muddies and messes up the reality he thought he’d already made peace with, a future he never believed was possible because he thought he had no right to it. like what does it say about kyo that he’s so much more afraid of being loved than he is of his love never being returned

Tohru: realizes she might love Kyo, that he might be her #1 most important person now, and panics because that feels like such a betrayal to her mom, and since she's still boxing away feelings and issues she doesn't want to deal with, she shoves the whole thing into the furthest corner of her mind and prays that it will stay there because yes, she does love Kyo Sohma Like That but she is nowhere near ready to even think about what that means, let alone accept it.

Kyo: knows he has no future with Tohru, knows he's getting locked up forever in a matter of months, feels insane levels of guilt over loving Tohru at all, and now even more guilt for wondering if she might love him Like That too and for how much he wants her to love him Like That when he doesn't deserve her love at all, so nope! Tohru has NO special feelings for him, and he can go on quietly loving and pining for her in an unrequited way that will only hurt HIM in the end.

Head full of thoughts of THEM!! A Kyoru re-draw. THAT SCENE WAS SO GOOD yet I’m sad that they didn’t directly re-draw this iconic panel LMAO.

i really like how takaya emphasizes that tohru doesn’t fall in love with kyo because she feels bad for him, because honestly it would’ve been really easy to write their story that way—but i don’t think it would’ve been as impactful at all. kyo is more or less written for the audience to feel really fucking bad for him. like, he’s just really singled out in the narrative as the scapegoat, the outcast, the absolute lowest of the low in the sohma family. he’s treated like an object of pity. some of the things other characters say about him i’m just like god, it’s heartwrenching to read. and yet, i love that it’s made clear that tohru falls in love with kyo for who he is, for the person he is and will become, and not out of pity or feeling sorry for him. she just genuinely enjoys spending time with him and being with him. she loves big things and little things about him, from his kindness and how she can confide in him to his awkward smile. :’)) tohru certainly has moments where she feels immense compassion and empathy for kyo, but i really appreciate that that’s not why she falls in love with him.

How to enable CAS items for different categories

For those that don’t know, you can easily enable clothing, shoes, and other CAS parts for different categories. For example, earlier I saw someone looking for heels enabled for sleepwear. So I’ll use these Madlen Siracusa shoes, and enable them for sleepwear.

Find the package of the item you want to recategorize, and open it with S3PE.

Highlight the CASP component by clicking it once, and then click on the Grid button down at the bottom of the panel.

A new pane will open up. Click on ClothingCategory, which expands the list of available categories. Find “Sleepwear“ in the list, which is currently set to false.

Double-click Sleepwear, so that it now says “True”

Click Commit, at the bottom right of the pane.

Save your package, and plop it ingame. Voila, sleepwear enabled shoes. You can use this to enable hairs for different genders, accessories for different age groups, shoes, clothing, whatever, for different categories. Or disable them, as heavensims very rightly mentioned!

the momo and momiji, uo/kureno, and kyoru TRIPLE PARALLEL that this ep had going on killed me dead. like Momiji saying “I’m scared that I’ll hurt her by seeing her,” tohru saying “she’s always watched you, just like you’ve always watched over her” like the parallel in the narrative is supposed to be about uo/kureno I guess, but everything she’s saying actually reflects back to her feelings about kyo, and him trying to create distance to protect her even tho (she hasn’t realized it yet but) she just wants to be with him.......dude im clowning......

I think the anime is still pretty set on making Tohru’s feelings as hidden as possible at this point... I think the manga does a better job at showing how her feelings are changing even when thinking about the sohma family as a whole. It’s like they’re trying to still artificially maintain the “love triangle/square.” XD

i REALLY hope they stop doing this soon............

I mean, the thing about Tohru is that she’s a very nice person, truly, but....

she’s not some kind of saint sent to save everyone either .... XD

Her feelings aren’t just for everyone......she’s selfish too. 

She’s allowed to be selfish. 

Can’t wait for that to be made clear very soon!! 

I wonder if that will make some people hate her character down the line...XD I mean the whole I just want to save Kyo!! part
