disturbed by how little ppl acknowledge the secondary health risks of vampire bites. if your vampire lover is drinking your blood you MUST be up to date on your tetanus shot. puncture wounds are at especially high risk for tetanus infections. just because your partner was born in 1312 doesn’t mean you have to die like it.

moreover they should be prepping the bite point with an alcohol wipe.

and while I’m at it, I’ve noticed a blithe disregard for health & safety when it comes to blood pacts. can’t believe I have to say this but you should absolutely NOT be cutting your palm open with the pocket knife from your belt holster (??????)

if you’re expecting to be in a blood pact/oath situation please just pick up some sterile finger lancets from the pharmacy. cannot stress this all enough.

Jealousy | J.V x Reader

You made your way over to Jane once you finished up your conversation, intent on begging her to go back to your room for a cuddle (considering she would outright reject you if you tried any such thing in a public place). However it seemed she was in rather… sour mood.

“Hi, my love!” You chirped, moving to sit beside her.

“What do you want?” She grumbled, avoiding your gaze for a moment when you frowned. Your mouth opened but no words came out and you closed it again, tilting your head in confusion.

“What’s wrong?” Her eyes snapped to yours as the words left your lips, glaring at you.

“Oh so now you care about me?” You rolled your eyes at her and she scoffed again, standing up and silently leaving the room. She was never one to sort her affairs in front of others, outright refusing to be the face of this week’s gossip. You followed her.

“Jane- wha-?” You cut off as you both entered the hallway and she whipped around to look at you.

“I have eyes, Y/N! Hell, even someone without them would still be able to see the way you two were all over eachother!” She hissed at you and your frown quickly flickered into a smile. This seemed to agitate her more, scoffing at you whilst her eyes narrowed.

“So you think it’s funny? Tell me, Y/N, would it be funny for me walk back in there and torture-“

You cut her off with a soft kiss to her lips and she completely froze, not expecting this reaction to her outburst at all.

“You’re so dramatic” You whined as you pulled away, only enough that your lips still brushed against hers as you spoke. “We were simply having a conversation about his mate… you know, the girl who got her arm ripped off on the latest mission?”

You giggled as she rolled her eyes, though you could see the smallest pout forming on her face. You continued to smile at her jealousy, knowing for a fact she would not once admit to it… but she knew she was wrong.

“You know I only have eyes for you, pretty girl” You smile at her and you swore that if she had the ability to blush, she would be the brightest shade of red. She grumbled under her breath momentarily and you snuggled into her carelessly.

“Now I was coming to ask you if we could go and cuddle but I guess i’ll just go and ask him instead…”

“You are mine!” She growled possessively at your insinuation, already tugging you in the direction of your room whilst you laughed loudly.

A/N: Whiii like I promised you I did it with both Jane and Alec. You might notice I was influenced by our convo’s 🙈 I ended it right before it would go somewhere I am not sure I can write down oop ❤️ I hope you like it!

Words: 1kish / warnings: none but tension between you, Alec and Jane. Not proofread.

There was a trial today. You watched the woman being touched by their master. Their master wore an expression of disappointment. You watched him stop touching the woman, moving back to the chairs while the two guards, Felix and Demetri, slowly stepped towards the woman. You knew what was coming. You had seen a trial before. 

Slowly reaching for his hand you entangled your fingers with his. The cold of his skin made you shiver slightly, but you squeezed his hand, moving closer to stand behind him. He did not acknowledge you by sound but he gave your hand a squeeze back, just one second. It was just long enough that you knew he was acknowledging your need for hand holding. 

You flinched anyways when the two guards pulled off the woman’s arms. Jane, who was standing next to you and Alec, was using her gift to torture the woman. She barely made any noise, the pain so intense she couldn’t move at all. You gasped when Felix tore off her head. 

Alec squeezed your hand again, noticing the way your heart beat faster. 

You let go of his hand when he moved forward. It all happened fast, everyone knew what to do next. You looked at Jane who gave her master a smile, she then turned towards you, holding out her hand for you to grab. You grabbed it immediately, entangling your fingers with hers, letting her drag you away from the throne room.  

Jane did not let you touch her often with others around you. You were only allowed to hold her hand in public. You did not know why but you ached for her and Alec’s touches today. 

It started when you woke up in your bed. It was early and you felt alone in your room. The need did not leave when you had breakfast and spoke to Alec. He didn’t seem to notice at that moment, just surprised when you gave him another kiss before you walked away. Later in the day you saw Jane and couldn’t stop yourself from trying to hold her hand when speaking to her. You knew she could hear your heart beating faster when you kept holding her hand as another guard, Demetri started to speak to her. 

She did not scold you afterwards. Just told you to get some food. 

And now she had dragged you towards a room she shared with her brother. She sat you down on the couch, petting your head before moving toward her bookcase. You sighed, grabbing a blanket while Jane sat down next to you with a book. 

You scooted closer to her. Trying to see what she was reading. She now petted your leg through the blanket, holding the book lower so you could see the pages as well. 

You scooted even more closer, putting your head on her shoulder. She shifted her position as you did so. 

You looked up when Alec came in. He was groaning, giving Jane a look you couldn’t read. You knew this meant someone had pissed him off. 

“You want me to punish him?”

Alec smirked, nodding at her. 

He then looked down at you, “you okay, sweetface?”

You smiled, nodding at him. 

He gave you a look of approval, then went on to grab his own book. Sitting down next to you, he held your knee, petting it before opening his own book. You watched him look for the page he read last, his frown had disappeared, he looked calm as he started reading. 

You looked between Alec and Jane. Both of them seemingly unaware of what you wanted. You took a deep breath, sighing restlessly. 

You knew they both gave you a quick glance before continuing to reading their books.

They shifted again in their positions. You rubbed your cheek against Jane’s shoulder, slowly raising your legs to put them over Alec’s. 

You shrieked when Jane suddenly shut her book close. 

“All right sweetie, what is it?” She turned toward you, making you sit up. 

“You are being very needy today with your touches, sweetface.” 

You turned to look at Alec who just spoke. You could see the ghost of a smirk on his face. You gave him a pout. 

Jane grabbed your jaw, making you look at her again. She stared at you as she spoke: “I asked you something.”

You whimpered, not sure what to say.

You noticed it made her smile. The way they looked at you made you squirm. 

“I need you,” you whispered. 

“Need us to do what?” Alec asked with a full smirk. Jane had let go of your jaw so you could look at him. 

You took a deep breath, looking down at your hands, “I need you to touch me.”

“How sweet,” his words sounded almost mocking but you could feel him sit closer to you with a smile on his face. 

His face was suddenly close to your neck. You squirmed when his teeth graced your skin, he snaked his arm around your middle as well. You then looked up at Jane who was smiling deviously at you. 

You were aching all day for them to do more than just holding your hand. The way he pulled you close against his chest, the cold of his skin going through your clothes, how he scraped his fangs over your skin, all so carefully slow but deliberately, it made you sigh in contentment. 

You were looking up at Jane again who was still smiling so sweetly at you. Her smile sent shivers down your spine.

“Jane?” 

“Ssssh, be quiet. You will get what you asked for.”
