Please don’t get a mastectomy. You are clearly not making a sound mental decision. Genuinely do not have an elective amputation that is entirely unnecessary. Do not permanently remove a functioning healthy body part because you hate your body. Your feelings may change one day but you can never have your body parts back again
not only am i going to get my tits cut off, i’m going to enjoy it the entire time. i’m going to get off on it. and after i’ve enjoyed the intentional, erotic dissection of my flesh, i’m gonna go to the beach. and i’m gonna take my shirt off to show off the scars where they cut into me, and i’ll laugh so fucking hard. and when i laugh, stranger, it’s gonna be at you.

A well informed autism self diagnosis is just as valid as a psychiatric diagnosis. Additionally, under the given circumstances it is safer, most probably less expensive and you don't need to wait for any appointment.
10 screenshots from a twitter thread by @drdemonprince with white text on black background.
The thread reads as follows:
I hear from many trans & nonbinary people who are actively seeking an Autism diagnosis. My advice is RETHINK THIS. Restricting Autistic people's access to gender affirming care is a major TERF talking point. As legal attacks on trans healthcare mounts, a psychiatric dx is a risk
The high overlap between Autism & transness was one of the main "concerns" JK Rowling rose in her "TERF Wars" blog post. Numerous fearmongering anti-trans articles influenced by TERFs have raised the issue since. if youre trans now is not a good time to seek a formal Autism dx.
An Autism dx does not unlock access to any beneficial therapeutic treatment, bc there is no "treating" Autism. Formal diagnosis makes us vulnerable to legal & psychiatric control and gets our competence challenged -- you dont need to subject yourself to this. diagnose yourself
I am close with dozens and dozens of Autistic people, and I have no idea who has a diagnosis and who does not. It does not matter. There is no reason to ask, no reason for others to care how someone identifies and how they arrived there -- all that matters is community support.
also if you cannot afford to pursue a lengthy & expensive lawsuit, it's unlikely a formal diagnosis will actually protect you from discrimination at work, in school or in housing. if you have the means great, but most don't. disclosing disability can be more risk than its worth.
if you need a dx to access resources such as disability benefits or extra test time, by all means go for it, but be cognizant of the potential costs. you could be denied for surgery, lose control of your assets, be found legally incompetent, lose custody of your kids...

My autism dx was forced on me at age 2 and kept me out of the military in my 20s. It’s been nothing but destructive. I was beat up in sped and believed myself to be stupid my entire life because of it. I can’t even buy life insurance.

In some states, people with autism face being denied organ transplants, are at higher risk for forced sterilization and/or denied contraceptive and reproductive care, and have a higher risk of police brutality I considered this and decided informal diagnosis was best for me
By AK Faulkner is sweet and...
In the UK, an autism diagnosis is already a significant barrier to gender-affirming care. The GICs automatically try to discount dysphoria as autism during your initial assessments with them. If you arrive pre-diagnosed with autism they write your dysphoria off as that.

✨️👑 HAPPY BIRTHDAY FREDDIE MERCURY 👑✨️
And so here it is, the last artwork for Queen's birthdays, with the Queen himself! 🥰🥰🥰 I had a lot of fun drawing this, even if choosing just a few of his iconic costumes and outfits was super difficult 😅💕💕💕 In the middle, for the "most recent" Freddie, I chose to draw him in the beautiful Cat Vest from These Are The Days of Our Lives, hoping to portray all of Freddie's love and bravery, his beautiful smile while he declares his love for us 🥺💖💕💜💖💕💜
As for the colors I used the two colors I associate with him, royal purple and golden yellow, which was quite hard to use for the shadows but I'm super happy of the result and I really hope you like it too! 🙏🏻💕👑
Please do not repost! Reblogs and comments are always welcomed 💜

I had a friend come to me today and ask me, "How do I fight against the genocide" (of trans people)
And it made me realize that I didn't know. Because sure, we're all pissed and scared, but fighting something this big seems impossible.
So I guess the only answer I have is
Where you can.
Find a way, ANY way, to resist.
Make little signs to leave in places to educate the masses about what we are facing
Find a local protest
Tell everyone you know. Don't you EVER shut up about it, because freedom will die in silence.
This is how you fight a fascist, not in the streets or on the internet, but in the minds of the people they need to convince that you are the enemy.
Do not let them into the heads of your friends, your family, your coworkers. Do not give them an inch.
Make sure everyone knows what they are. They are pure fucking evil, and the enemy of anyone who claims to be a supporter of any human rights at all.
Do not let them keep you quiet.

Hey, fat people deserve to have fun and get their needs met even if they’re the least healthy mf you know. Fat people deserve proper medical care, and carbs, and to wear shorts and so many more things! EVEN IF THEY ARE UNWELL AND ESPECIALLY IF THAT UNWELLNESS IS DUE TO THEIR WEIGHT!!! Fat people deserve the world and more. Not just the healthy fats or attractive fats or small fats or fats that are fat because of medication or disability.

you absolutely can't call yourself progressive if you're fatphobic btw
fatphobia is deeply rooted in racism, ableism, and classism and if you can't even examine your beliefs far enough to get too "fat people are also humans who deserve respect" then you absolutely aren't progressive, you're a bigot trying to act trendy.
NO ONE should be expected to completely change their whole body in order to be treated with basic respect! especially when the expected methods of change (that do not work, esp long term) are starvation and/or surgery with insanely high complication and morality rates... if you have to ask people to starve, mutilate, or even kill themselves to consider respecting them and their rights, then you are an atrociously cruel person.

i need all fat people who want top surgery to know you are not too fat for top surgery. a competent surgeon and anesthesiologist team will make things work for you regardless of your size. if one doctor gives you shit about your weight or bmi or outright refuses to operate on you, get a second opinion. go to a second doctor. go to a third doctor. go to a million doctors until you get what you want. the dual combo of fatphobia and transphobia in medicine cannot keep us down. you do not need to be skinny to change your body how you want to change it. you do not need to be skinny for top surgery.

I could be charged for a crime in the future for this post, but I don't give a fuck.
Trans people need to start stockpiling HRT
Seriously. Stockpile it. You can buy estrogen and spironolactone and progesterone online. Testosterone is a scheduled drug in the US, but you can buy it online, too. I don't care if it's illegal. I don't care if it's sketchy. I don't care if it makes cis people uncomfortable that we're hoarding hormones and transitioning behind closed doors. Checkout the r/diyhrt subreddit for links, details, risks, support, etc.
We are under attack.
Missouri AG just passed down an emergency rule Requiring conversion therapy for trans people, instituting a mandatory 18 months of therapy before hormones or puberty blockers can be prescribed, Requiring the distribution of misinformation and lies to trans people about the "dangers" of the "experimental treatment," Requiring screen for social media addiction and "social contagion" regarding gender and transness (a theory that has been thoroughly debunked), Requiring that "preexisting mental health conditions" be "fully identified and treated" before transition (including neurodiversity like ADHD, Autism, BPD, etc.) States the support trans people are greatly outnumbered by states that want to see us dead. We are in stage 7 of the ten stages of genocide, and the heavy hand of the State is going to crush us, and liberal "allies" aren't enough.
So, stockpile.
Order online. Order illegally. Stash. Distribute in your community.
Organize.
Gather your friends, neighbors, accomplices. Gather supplies, intel, weapons, tools. Arm yourselves. Seriously, arm yourselves. And if you can't get a firearm, or don't want one for whatever reason, find your niche. Counterintel, propaganda, distro. Cause when they come for you, your HRT, your clothes and care, you don't want to be alone.
Electoralism will not save us. Voting will not save us. Courts will not save us.
Our Only hope is organization and solidarity.

Tuesday April 11.
Autism Acceptance Month.
Today is Tuesday, April 11, which means we are eleven days into the 30 blessed days of #autism acceptance month, 2023 (previously known as #autism awareness month). April is the month and April 2nd is the day—World Autism Day, to be precise—and these first weeks of spring are a time for uplifting autistic voices of all identities, advocating for acceptance, progress, and sharing in the community's joy. It began back in 1972, as National Autistic Children’s Week, and was founded by The Autism Society to raise awareness and campaign for change in communities, schools, medical facilities, and businesses. And this same vital, wonderful work continues today, and not just for the month of April, of course—but every day of every year. The lived reality is that every day of every month is Autism Acceptance Month, and it is on all of us to do better.
Progress has been made, but there is still so much to be done in the struggle for equality and justice for all those living under the broad church of autism. And if these words sound hollow, then simply read the moving story of Debra Vines, of The Answer Inc., and of her autistic son Jason. She articulates everyday struggles that families can face, and the many joys they experience, too. Her message is simple, but powerful: don't give up on milestones.
Want to know more, get involved, or donate? Here is just some of an impressive selection of charities sourced by the fine people at the Applied Behavior Analysis Programs Guide, where you can find the complete list of 20 charities and organizations:
The Asperger/Autism Network
The Autistic Women & Nonbinary Network
Autism Research Institute
The Autistic Self Advocacy Network
The Autism National Committee
Happy Tuesday, folks, and here's to better.
