anne x diana is delightful and there should be more of them! their potential is untapped, they are literally textbook best best friends to lovers, ones that are fiercely devoted to eachother and ones that would do anything for eachother.

because this beautiful darling extraordinary friend of theirs is, in anne’s case, the first person to show her kindness, understand her thirst for new fantastical worlds, and delve into the world of imagination with her instead of mocking it. in diana’s case, anne is the first person to truly understand her, and the first person to slip through her shields of faked perfection to access her secret ambitions and thoughts, all with a cheery smile and freckled face full of soft comprehension.
