This is the most savage thing I’ve seen all week
my friend and I were cheering for Sweden under the SkiTour2020 because the Swedes were handing out free flags and begging us to support them

Fin and Slovakia, because it just has to happen
based on a brainstorming session about these two between me and a friend
Hoooo boy! Do I have some headcanons concerning these two...
I know that these two look like an unlikely pair, mostly because Slovakia gets sweeped under the rug (like many other Hetalia characters, shame) but these two have so much in common! Time to talk about my home country oh god
Finland, meeting Slovakia for the first time: who are you
Slovakia, almost tearing up: obviously not Czechia
Alternatively:
Slovakia: you, but my government is less stable and I drink more vodka
Finland, opening his cabinets: finally, a worthy opponent
These two countries have some serious vodka business going on, no joke. But they handle it just fine.
Slovakia: so, you’ve been under Sweden’s rule for the better part of your history, huh? Mood
Finland: it wasn’t so bad
Slovakia: did you have to know how to speak speak Swedish like I had to speak Hungarian?
Finland: ... I-
Slovakia: you know your language kinda reminds me of hers... which is funny since you two are very different... but she’s technically your cousin... haha... huh
Finland: ...
Slovakia: ... but that’s just a theory?
Finland: I don’t wanna talk about it
They proceed to have teraphy sessions
They are both salty about Russia’s friendly endeavours back in the good ol’ twentieth century showdown
Finland: I lived at Russia’s house before I got independence
Slovakia: Russia lowkey occupied my ass after ww2
Finland: *winter war flashbacks*
Last, cherry on top:
Czechia, watching Slovakia jump over a campfire: god, he’s an idiot
Slovakia: THIS IS A TRADITION! MORE FIRE!
Sweden, watching Finland add more fuel to the fire, concerned but impressed: I love him
Sweden: ....
Sweden: but what the hell are they doing?
Hint: it’s a Slovak tradition in which people jump over fires. I won’t tell you more.
Ah, I have more than this, but for now it’s enough. Personally I think that these two could be good enough friends if they ever got to interact. This was fun to write!
I’m working on more requests. Stay tuned~

Cousins
Hungary is a boss, I bet she likes to tease Finland a lot. They meet once in a while and gossip about recent EU stuff. She complains about her annoying neighbours and he tells her about the constant arguments between Denmark and Sweden he has to act as a meditator for cuz they have zero chill and Norway sometimes observes Denmark try to fix (and fail at fixing) the mess he’s gotten himself into. But since he’s a good friend, he gets up to help him eventually, because that’s what friends do.
Hungary offers gamer advice
Finland: Denmark keeps leaving beer bottles everywhere he goes and then acts surprised when Sweden collects and scatters them around his backyard as a revenge
Hungary, eating popcorn: kick his butt in Minecraft hunger games, like a real gamer
Finland: they are like little babies sometimes
Hungary: put the game settings to Hard and make them play until they learn how to teamwork
Finland: ... that’s your solution?
Hungary: it worked with Austria
She is basically all of my cousins in one person.
Another one coming up tomorrow! :)

My sister's friend is in Finland right now, any advice or places she should see? (BTW love ur Tumblr!)
This one is long overdue, but have they been to Turku? If not, I encourage them to stop by if they decide to come back. It’s a beautiful city! 💕
The Turku Cathedral is very pretty for example
This is the Art Museum. It kind of looks like a castle, doesn’t it?
Oh!! My personal favourite: St. Michael’s Church! It’s even prettier on the inside.
There is plenty of stuff to see all around Finland, though. It all depends on your personal preferences.
