Is there a reason why you put The Tutor only available for registered users on Ao3? Just wondering, no problem if you had a personal reason<3

I've heard a lot of stories about stories being stolen by AI and other people publishing those works and passing them off as their own. Tbh, I still really want to turn this series into an original series (and make both the bet and the challenge dual povs like the tutor) so it was either delete everything or make them available to only registered users to add some layer of protection to my work. I promise if in the future I do decide to pull I will give everyone a decent heads up so you can save the fanfic versions.

Finnick POV:

I walked down the hall towards the elevator with purpose, replaying the words I’d say to her in my head over and over as it brought me down one floor. I could feel my heart pounding inside my chest as I drew closer to the room I knew was hers, and by the time I was knocking, it sounded like a percussion in my ear drums.

The door opened a moment later, and Mags stood on the other side, staring back at me with a mixture of uncertainty and suspicion. 

“Mags, is Annie here?”

She worried her bottom lip, debating on whether or not to answer me. When I tried to look beyond her, she tugged the door a little closer to her. I sighed deeply through my nose, fighting the urge to push her out of the way. 

“I can give her a message.”

“Annie, if you’re in there--”

“Stop yelling,” she hissed, jumping out into the hallway and shutting the door fully. Her arms were crossed, defensively, but the way she blushed when her eyes met mine made it obvious she wasn’t entirely unaffected. 

“Please, I just want to talk to her.”

“She’s not here.”

“Well where is she?”

More hesitation that made me want to rip my hair out. 

I groaned, burying my head in my hands before turning back to Mags.

“Look, I don’t know what Annie told you about last night but I’m not a monster. I made a mistake and I just want to make it better.”

“I know you’re not a monster,” Mags admitted with a shrug. “Just kind of a jerk.”

“I like her a lot, okay? And I explain everything I just need to talk to her. Please.”

I wasn’t sure if Mags had a thing for grown men begging or if I just looked that pathetic, but with my plea she softened a bit and worried her bottom lip.

“I’d tell her you were here but she left. Went back to campus this morning. Rue and I kind of need to bum a ride back from somebody.”

She’d barely finished before I unlocked my phone and shot a message to Peeta, making sure he could get back to Panem with Madge and Gale.
