Out of all her companions, one of the biggest believers in the idea that Enasal is the Herald of Andraste is - oddly enough - Dorian.

It's the only way Enasal makes sense to him. Something about her makes him forget about her pointed ears, which has never happened before. Old prejudices tinted his vision of the elves, but he saw her clear as day.

He would never tell her, of course.

He absolutely delights in being able to tease the woman sent by Andraste, always calling her 'tiniest elf'.

And just like he saw her clearly, she's sees him clearly. She knows there's no malice in the joke, and that she might *actually* be the smallest adult elf he's ever met, so it could be truthful as well.

She'll be irritated at him, but only for a bit.

And Dorian finds a lot of comfort in that - that even if he screws up, there was someone who would still be there.

And that seems pretty holy to him.

I just watched the DnD:Hat movie and came straight to tumblr afterwards cuz I thought yall would eat this found family movie shit up like the last plate of grilled cheese, but all I can find is like 10 Edgin/Xenk fanarts and fanfics, like 2 things of Holga and Edgin taking care of Kira, and 3 angst fics for Doric.

I just wanted to have a found family fic where Edgin, Holga, and Kira have basically adopted Simon and everyone knows except Simon, I just want Xenk to think that Simon is Eds kid and make it awkward for everyone for a sec before Doric tells them she thought that too.

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT SIMON MY POOR BOY WHOS WHOLE LIFE HES HAD TO TRY TO BE GREAT AND FINALLY FOUND PEOPLE WHO THINK HE’S GREAT NO MATTER WHAT!!?!?

I love Edgin and Holga’s gorgeous snarky loyal platonic coparenting partnership with every fiber of my being, and it FUCKS ME UP that Holga is SO loyal to Ed — even when Simon and Doric are (understandably) furious about his plan messing him, Holga’s response is to try to make him feel better — and never once seems to expect the same in return.

One of the very first choices we see Ed make is to run away when Holga’s trapped, and as far as we know he isn’t secretive about it (as evidenced by the fact that it’s included in his opening speech while stealing the Red Wizards’ gold isn’t) but she never holds it against him.

And when he chooses to revive her (which for the audience is a pretty foregone conclusion), she’s SO SURPRISED.

Like, here’s a woman who was abandoned by her tribe because she fell in love with an outsider but who didn’t stop mourning them, who was abandoned by her husband because she couldn’t get over her tribe but who didn’t stop loving him, who met some drunk loser in a bar and decided “welp guess I gotta adopt you AND your kid.” She just loves and loves and loves and can’t conceive of that being reciprocated in any long-term way and I just! Love her! So much!

The players in the honor among thieves movie really went out of their way to not put the clues together about the red wizard’s plan, huh. Like, the hints were there, they knew she got the horn and he went out of his way to have the DMPC Paladin tell them about the ritual and gave them the book and everything. But they still just ignored it in favor of their own plot, didn’t even realize what was happening until it started.

Very authentic.

My favourite scene had to be when they were all trapped with a fat ass dragon trying to kill them as water started to fill up the cave at a dangerous rate and Edgin was desperately trying to plan their escape, and as this was happening Xenk was just in the back chilling and turned on by Edgin LMFAOOO

Like the stare? the smirk? the smile? He has a competency kink please. This man was not at all bothered by Themberchaud or drowning to death because he knew he was safe with a certain 'harper shaking off his slumber' with him, if you rewatch this scene he's just heart eyeing him the entire time in the background, and that's why it's my favourite scene

I love Holga so much actually she's obsessed with potatoes (as she should be) she has a thing for short guys she saw a man at his lowest and his baby daughter and decided she needed to look out for them she's strong and fierce and tough and her best friend singing makes her laugh somehow she manages to contain perfectly barbarian class tropes while never once falling into stereotype she's kind she's loving she's got the highest kill count of the entire party she's a mother she genuinely likes Edgin it could have so easily fallen into the "competent person annoyed by irritating person yet keeps them around for some reason" dynamic but it doesn't she likes him she's sad and angry and fair and good and gentle and literally goes into a wild rage when she fights people. Chatacter of the century perhaps.

I love you goofy looking aarakocra, dragonborn and tabaxi. I love you hiring bridgerton guy just to be hot and untouchable and having his first major scene staged so that one tiddy is always artfully exposed. I love you well choreographed fight scenes and a beautifully chaotic representation of six seconds of combat. I love you compelling plot point of attunement requiring a successful role with your spellcasting modifier. I love you solving puzzles by shoving round p(ainting)egs into square holes. I love you forcing Justice Smith to do a British accent for no reason. I love you level 20 NPCs who can’t help the party against the big bad for ambiguous reasons. I love you bigby’s hand slap fights. I love you Nat 20s on potato attacks. I love you owlbears, mimics and gelatinous cubes. I love you dragons, I love you dungeons. I love you dnd movies that love dnd.
