Basilisk Grievous doodle!

Not a true basilisk: I call him that because he mimics the Pathfinder Beastiary's basilisk design. Though I really based him off of a displacer beast from DnD. Also he could have been a clockwork cyborg but I refuse to design that (you will never see me draw Darth Vader dragon).

So basically I failed, but MAN he looks neat, don't he?

Dragon AU: Basic Universe

All of the Star Wars planets are regions or countries in one large planet. The races of the planets are standard high fantasy, and if desired one could use the usual Star Wars alien races because... why not.

Dragons are a long-lived species that can magically appear as humans or other preferred humanoid races. How this came to be is forgotten, but they make strong allies for the Republic.

The Jedi

Jedi believe that the impulsive and beastial side of the dragon form is wrong. They strive for peace and righteousness and reject the greed of their dragon forms; this ideology often comes with much meditation and lifestyle training at a young age at the Jedi Temple.

Dragon forms are seen as tools or weapons and they can be used. However, approaching someone in dragon form within a civilian setting is rude if not a death threat. Anakin normalized sunbathing and playing in dragon forms when he was a padawan.

The Sith

Believers that rejection of the animal side of the dragon is a rejection of self, they are often found in their dragon forms. They strive for power, intellectual advancement, and wealth. They believe their Jedi counterparts to be weak in body and spirit.

They are solitary creatures that only gain some sembalance of socialization through the Rule of Two. They find other Sith to be competition and do everything in their power to prove their own superiority.

Steel/Kiln Kirin Leia

The kirin spirit is passed on as new queens of Naboo are elected. Those the kirin spirit accepts are bound to be good and righteous leaders; those it rejects is rejected by the court.

When Padmé died, the kirin spirit was split among her offspring. Leia got the foremost of it. With the spirit of the kirin one may transform into it to gain all it's power and wisdom.

Leia can breath eternal fire which only extinguishes when the evil is purged from the corpse, which while a standard kirin ability it is more dangerous with Anakin's own ability to use fire. She does not grow flowers in her steps when happy, but incinerates the ground when angry. She has powerful metal plating like her father but unlike him is immune to fire.

Her most notable ability is her spiritual sight. She can track powerful leaders, and has an instinctive drive to rally good ones and hunt the evil. (Cue her bounding for miles to give Vader a butt whooping.) She is not especially trained to control the impulse, so avoids using this form, instead staying as a human.

Steel/Kiln Dragon Anakin

Metal plating, powerful fire breath, and the ability to reach jetspeeds makes Anakin an extremely dangerous dragon.

However, he does have his weaknesses: he is not a poweful flier and being in extreme heat conditions can cause a melt down. Also, beastial combat is simply not the Jedi way.

His design doesn't feel quite right yet, but it's getting there.

Dragon Count Dooku!

He's considered a "normal type" and has no breath weapon. However, he is very large and thick scaled, making him a strong and durable fighter. He is also a powerful flier who can elevate quickly, but cannot fly fast.
