oh me? im just thinking about how soren spent two years knowing his dad was dead but not knowing if his sister was dead or alive. im just thinking about how much he's grown since the series started and how he keeps choosing love, keeps choosing good despite where he came from. im just thinking about how he reunited with his sister and tried to get her to see, too. to get her to choose good. im just thinking about how he thought he was finally, finally free from his fathers clutches, free to choose love without guilt. im just thinking about how his sense of security and freedom was ripped away from him because the man who controlled and manipulated him quite literally came back from the dead. im just thinking.

I only made a post about this a while ago but. God my situation just got a lot more complicated.

Hi, my name is Soul, I'm 18 years old and going to university next year. My household is very very toxic - I've been guilt tripped and lied to for as long as I can remember but even when my dad threatened to beat me to a pulp, the police wouldn't do shit because nothing physical happened.

Until ten days ago. My dad threw two small tables at me. They hit my arm, leg and hand and they bruised, and now there's a lump where the bruise was.

I'm lucky enough to be in a place where health care is free, but I've put off reporting it for nearly two weeks because it would complicate my life situation. My mother is the only one with a job, we have benefits and my father is mostly the one with those benefits for unemployment. I've been turned down for PIP before and it's unlikely to change.

If I report this to the police, this physical assault, I don't know if they'll have to do anything. But this household is unstable and I can't go to university because of my mental health (which affected my grades for A Levels), so I can't rely on accommodation there.

Best case scenario - my dad leaves and we're wonderfully able to get more benefits or I find a really good job that doesn't fuck with my brain. Worst case - he still lives there with me with the knowledge I tried to report him to the cops (or they just don't do anything!).

Best case scenario is super rare. I've been to the hospital due to terrible mental health, but it's gotten to the point where I feel mentally better at the hospital, so by the time I see the psychiatrist they're under the impression that I'm dealing with my mental health better than I am. So I get no help despite having five attempts in less a year.

TL;DR: my dad threw a table at me and reporting it might upturn my life and make finances worse than they already are.
