The biggest lie in fanfiction is that everyone has a first aid kit in their house. I have never owned one in my life

Holy shit, I wasn't expecting anyone to actually see this post and care about them? Literally walked away for a second when I saw the post gaining notes, lol. Anyways, the aus-
ArtQuest AU
This one's pretty self indulgent. It initially started with me thinking about how most high school aus made Roman into a jock or a prep, and wondered 'What if he was a weird art kid like the ones I went to school with?' This then evolved into High School Au at Specifically My High School
In town, my high school is sort of the big Arts and Agriculture school, since it has a pretty big FFA Chapter (Future Farmers of America) and has a specialized art program called ArtQuest with tracks for multiple visual and performing arts.
Each side got assigned an art (expect for Patton, it felt more right for him to be in FFA). I never really developed a story for this au, but I had a lot of fun developing their personalities and relationships. Mainly for Roman, Remus, and Virgil since they were the ones I was hyperfocused on at the time, lol
Supernatural AU
Each side (except Remus, this au was before he was introduced) was a supernatural/mythical creature. I didn't get much further than assigning what creature each of them were, though I am thinking of rewriting this one. I have a pretty developed OC universe that is full of supernatural creatures, and will probably plop them into that and go from there

Day 1- Takahashi Anzu (Act 3) Decided to set myself a challenge to draw a different oc every day until I draw… well, not all of them, but most of them. It’s gonna take a while, lol. For Day 1, the wheel randomly selected Anzu, a side character for my magical girl story. #myart #digitalart #oc #artchallenge https://www.instagram.com/p/CqHzAFOOS05/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Thinking today about a post I saw some time ago about how wearing glasses shouldn't be considered a disability because it's "socially acceptable" and also about how I haven't been able to update my prescription for 2 years because I just cannot afford an optometrist visit or new frames.
I understand the impulse to say bad vision doesn't count because glasses are such a normal part of our society we don't even think of them as a disability tool anymore, bur the fact is if something happens to my glasses, I am Fucked. I can't drive. I can barely do everyday tasks. Working is going to be impossible. Even if I scrounge the money to get new frames, I have to wait WEEKS for them to arrive. And what happens to me in that time frame? Nothing good, I can tell you that. I literally need this tool to function on a daily basis, because my vision is bad enough to seriously disrupt my life without them.
If anything, glasses are a great example of what society could be if we took MORE disability seriously. If we had actual tools so readily available and normalized you saw them everywhere. But that doesn't make me not disabled, because the minute I lose access to that tool, I can't function.
