Hi again,
You know much about the so-called Ghoul Snake? It's a giant horned snake seen in Indiana. It supposedly feeds on freshly buried corpses. Sounds interesting.
Ok now this sounds actually very very cool!!! Snakes as we know them rely on theirs preys heat so they can track and eat them; however corpses have no heat signature (at least I hope not.) I like this guy I'll see what I can find!!! Also I wanted to say specifically to you @oldsheff thank you for always submitting your finds to me. You genuinely help me find and learn about cryptids that I've never heard of before!!! :)

Hello, I just saw your post about the Gumbaroo, and I wanted to say you forgot to mention that their only weakness was fire. It was reported they were the main cause of forest fires and that they exploded like cellophane when even exposed to a flame. It was also said any negatives from photos taken of them also exploded.
This is news to me! Thank you for helping fill in the missing gaps!!! It makes sense though fire + bear= a whole lot of damage!

Hi again,
Have you ever heard of the Gormagunt?
It was caught in the woods of Canada in 1861 & exhibited in New York that same year. It was described as being larger than an elephant. It had three heads, eight legs, three 'fundaments', two male members (genitals obviously),and one female 'pudendum' on its rump. The creature was of many colors and made a noise like the conjunction of two or three voices.
Sounds like a fascinating beast. I wonder if it was real or a hoax.
It sounds very familiar!!!! I'm unsure if it's real or not but regardless it's interesting! It sounds like a fearsome critter from the lumberjack stories! :)

Happy New Year!
I'm wondering if you have much info regarding the following US cryptids. I've seen them on Monica Gallagher's prints of the cryptids of various states but know next to nothing about them.
Devil's Constrictor -Kentucky (large winged snake)
Rippapotamus -Massachusetts (looks like a turtle-salamander hybrid)
The Essex Phantom -New Jersey (resembles a giant rat)
Oozlefinch -Virginia (looks like a hybrid of a frog, bird, and a hare)
The Leaping Loopy of Leicester -New York (it seems to have a bear-like upper body and a kangaroo-like lower body)
Boojum - North Carolina (possibly a local name for Bigfoot)
Potter Nondescript -Pennsylvania (looks like a humanoid walrus)
The Sipsey Creature -Alabama ( resembles a bear with glowing eyes)
Skin Fin -Arizona (looks like a pleisosaur)
Rocky -Wisconsin (a giant lizard?)
Terror of Women & Hens -Montana (bear-like)
Whortlechorts -Kentucky (they look like small Bigfoot)
Dragon of Lake Chelan -Washington (self-explanatory)
Bennington Monster -Vermont (looks like a duck-headed griffin)
If you know anything about the above cryptids I'll be grateful.
I'll see what I can find!!! The Rippapotomus sounds so cool! Leaping Loopy was my nickname in high school. :P

Hi again,
Apparently, there have been sightings of giant badgers in the mid-western US since the 1800s. Do you know of any such encounters with them.
I didn't know this!!! I do love me a good badger though!

you ever heard of the Kiwakwa of Penobscot legend? I remember my grandpa telling me stories that his grandpa would tell him of the creature.
It's similar to a Wendigo-type in that many stories seem to revolve around the idea of it being a human who was transformed after engaging in cannibalism, however there are a select few legends that seem more similar to Sasq'ets.
my grandpa's favorite of the stories, and thus mine, is one where, if I recall correctly, a young Penobscot (our tribe) boy goes out on a hunt. He'd hunted before, but he was relatively new at it, and he'd only solo hunted a few times beforehand. Whilst exploring, he finds himself beyond the hunting territory of his particular band (think large extended family unit, though smaller than a clan type), and he injures himself by doing something to his leg by hitting a boulder. Unable to walk much farther, he resigns himself to resting in a cave/cliffside alcove until the pain subsides. However, upon sitting down, he finds the cave is occupied by a Kiwakwa, which is described very similarly to legends of Sasq'ets from the Coast Salish and, to summarize, looks like a sort of Tennessee Wildman type creature. The Kiwakwa offers to heal the boys leg as long as he promises not to venture too far out of the hunting grounds of his band again
I'm likely not remembering that completely right, as it is late where I am, but I wonder if you've heard of such a thing.
Oooooh I genuinely haven't heard of it but it sounds interesting for sure!

How are people so dumb they think your username is about cryptocurrency? Anyway I'm really into cryptids & interdimensional beings/aliens and UFOs. We are definitely not alone in this huge universe!

Have you ever heard of the Missouri River Dragon.
It was seen by people on a riverboat in 1857. It was scaly and had wings. Sounds fascinating.
Ooooh yes I have!!!! I've been meaning to post about him! I live in Missouri too so I love him.

Have you heard of the Giasticutus.
It's a giant bird seen in the Ozarks. Possibly a Thunderbird although it has been depicted as a large flightless bird similar to the extinct Diatrima.
The name seems familiar I'll have to look into it more though.

The Sandown Clown is a mysterious humanoid that was encountered by 2 children in May of 1973 at Lake Common in Sandown on the Isle of Wight in the UK. The Sandown Clown is described as a tall humanoid standing around 6.5 feet tall and very thin with white skin that had the feel and look of paper; it's hands and feet also only had three digits on them and it had two triangular blue eyes, a brown rectangular shaped nose, and yellow lips which all appeared to be painted on it and it also wore a hat in where reddish-brown hair could be seen under it; it also had two antenna which appeared to be made of wood and it also carried a microphone. The Sandown Clown was said to be friendly but very shy and scared of humans; it was so scared of humans in fact that it said if it were attacked, it would not defend itself. It drank water from the stream that it cleaned before drinking it and ate berries that it ate oddly; it ate them by putting its head forward and moving the berries back and forth between both of its eyes and then down into its mouth. It had a sign that had the words, "Sam" and "All colors". When the kids asked if it was a ghost the Sandown Clown replied, Well not really, but I am in an odd sort of way." Any other questions the children asked it about itself it replied with "You know". The kids talked to it for 30 minutes then it was never seen again. To this day, the Sandown Clown still remains a mystery.
