I had a beetroot and bean patty burger from the Southbank Centre food market in London on Sunday. The brioche bun is vegan, the patty, rocket, onion relish, mushroom, mustard, bbq sauce and crispy parsnip shavings. It was very nice but after about two bits it became very sickly. Which is rare for me as I have a very seeet tooth. Literally, I can eat a whole tray of brownies without needing a drink...but this was difficult.

strawberry pastel de nata! really, I prefer just a classic pastel de nata, no strawberry, but I thought I’d give it a go for fun. Cafe de Nata is my favourite place to go for custard tarts in London and the strawberry was quite nice, it had a lining of a strawberry jam almost, inside. I would still go for a classic though, nothing beats it.
I love this place because they are baked all throughout the day so whenever I get one it’s always warm. I just love custard tarts, my favourite.

Vegan! Pad Thai! Yummy!
One of my favourite meals is a good old pad thai, this one was only £2 and was frigging awesome, I finished it all.
I’m not vegan, only veggie, but I thought I’d give it a go as I was interested to see if it was nice without egg. It was awesome! Wouldn’t be able to tell if no one told me.

I made a lil cheesecake for my partners birthday. It’s just a classic vanilla, strawbs on top that I’ve dipped in melted milkybar chocolate.
Everyone seemed to like it and he was super chuffed which is all I wanted.
Seriously, strawberry’s dipped in milkybar is heavenly.
We didn’t have any cutlery and it was super cold out so we sat in the entrance to a cinema and they gave us recyclable cutlery lol.

Dinner was homemade katsu curry. Everyone else had fried chicken but as I’m vegetarian I just had some pan fried tofu.
It’s one of my favourite meals that we make together and is so filling too. Definitely a comfort food, I love how soft the carrots go.

Two egg tarts, one for my boyfriend and one for me. My favourite food. Always so good.
From a little Chinese bakery called fresh bakery, they have lots of yummy looking buns as well but I will always opt for an egg tart.

My lunch today was also nothing fancy but all the same it was yummy and filling.
My partner quickly made me lunch as I got ready and ate my cereal this morning, otherwise I wouldn’t have had time to take lunch with me and would have ended up buying a ready made sandwich or something. It’s egg fried rice with broccoli, although we’re out of garlic...and soy sauce.. sooooo it wasn’t quite egg fried rice but oh well!

Lunch is simple, I do not have much food in at the moment.
Steamed rice, spinach and mushroom with fried egg and ketchup. I wanted sriracha, I couldn’t find it. Perhaps I finished it although I don’t remember doing so.

Wheat flakes with dried fruit cereal for breakfast today, semi skimmed milk.
Usually, I have bran flakes for breakfast but yesterday I saw this cereal in Sainsbury’s and felt like having it, it was a nice change. It’s a bit sweeter than what I usually have for breakfast, but as a sweet tooth I liked it.
Bonus photo of Lola stealing water from my glass, I didn’t drink from it afterwards.

Monday 17 February 2020, one of my favourite go to meals to make. Sat in the garden.
Sweet potato and cauliflower roasted with a little oil and smoked paprika. Massaged raw kale. Almond butter, lemon and soy sauce dressing. So yummy, easy too. Although massaging the kale isn’t super fun.
Best as a summer meal but I was craving it.
