Can we please talk about these vastly different reactions from North post-Revolution and post-Demonstration??

Revolution:

Demonstration:

Look how happy she is after a peaceful protest compared to how apprehensive she looks after a violent one.

This is super important.

Most see North as someone who wants to see humans killed, who wants to fight for no reason. She doesn’t want that!! I’m not a huge fan of how she reacts to some situations but she doesn’t do it out of malice and definitely not without reason, she acts that way because she’s learned - from experience- that humans respect power and force over peacefulness. But then Markus wins, not by fighting but by peace and North sees that violence is not the only way to gain respect and the freedom of her people.

Her sombreness to Markus winning a violent revolution, is her knowing that the fight is not over, not by far. That the androids struggles are far from over.

Her happiness to Markus winning a peaceful revolution really goes to show that underneath all her bravado, she is a decent and moral person who wants the best for android-kind.

North deserves better, y’all.

I love that moment just before the highway chase where Connor and Kara catch eyes between the fence. Our three main characters do not actually get a great deal of interaction in this game, so it feels like every moment that they do is important and not wasted.

It’s just this moment of “Oh, that’s - that’s a person.” Both of them, seeing each other up close for just a second, and behind the confusion and hostility is just this sense that they’re Seeing Each Other. Kara is realizing the person chasing her is an android and that Connor is probably stuck following humans’ orders. And Connor’s probably realizing for the first time that these deviants he’s assigned to hunt look an awful lot like people, in a way that maybe he hasn’t quite been able to do just yet, but something about seeing Kara’s face and watching Kara protect this little girl just - changes something. Or maybe not quite changes something, but plants one of many little seeds that continue to get watered throughout the game.

Like, for a game that frequently lacks subtlety, just that two-second glimpse really evokes the empathy that Connor’s story is all about, at least for me as the player.

Sometimes, when Connor is feeling particularly self deprecating and utterly exasperated/exhausted with his latest emotional miscommunication of the day, he will go on CyberLife’s rarely used but still active online shop, and write a scathing review about himself.

This android sucks so much. It is the worst. THE wORST!!! Not worth the 3 mil! Product came defective on arrival. Did not meet expectations at all! Stopped working right after 1 week of use. Poor design and very annoying to control. No instructions and could not find any online. 

tl;dr having the RK800 is like garbage having sex with sweaty underarms in the back of a rotting cheese factory!!! 0/10 would not buy again!!!
