Witch’s Ladder
A Witch’s Ladder is a spell or several spells consisting on 3, 9 or 13 knots. Traditionally 9. A cord , rope or sometimes hair can be used to make it and it has been a practice from long time ago. Charms are knotted or braided with specific magical intention into the cords. The number of knots and nature of charms varies with the intention.
Some people like to chant a specific rhyme while knotting the charms, others will just think about each spell in their minds.
In other versions it can also be several spells that are waiting to be used. So each time you need one, you untie the knot with the specific intention and release its energy.
Have you tried making a witch’s ladder?

☀️ Happy summer solstice! ☀️
In Norwegian folklore there is a tradition that if you pick seven types of flowers on summer solstice and sleep with them under your pillow, you will dream about the person you will marry :)

Hearth Witch Tips 🌌
Hey witches! As some of you may know, I am a hearth witch. Here is a small list of some witchy things I incorporate into my home. My home and my family is my pride and joy, and it brings me great joy to have little rituals in place for a comfortable, cozy and tranquil living space, and fulfills my nurturing spirit. Enjoy! 💖🌙
🔮 Hanging rosemary at your front door for protection.
🔮 Lavender sachets for under pillows to promote relaxation and calm.
🔮 Spraying bed linen with a blend of water, witch hazel and lavender essential oil.
🔮 Candles in the hearth area of the home can be a replacement for the traditional hearth fire. I have a fireplace, however often burn a candle instead in the warmer months where a fire would be too hot.
🔮 Growing herbs on windowsills is a beautiful touch, and especially useful for witches without access to a garden space. Grow herbs based on your desired intent for the home, and the bonus is they can also be used for cooking.
🔮 Opening windows can let in fresh air and drive out stagnant energy.
🔮 White vinegar infused citrus peels can make a great cleaning spray. Citrus is associated with sun energy, so it can help bring vitality and uplifting spirit to your home.
🔮 Spraying curtains with a blend of basil essential oil and water can bring peace, wealth and settle conflict in the home.
🔮 Enchanting blankets to provide comfort, reassurance and solace.
🔮 Sweeping and vacuuming can be looked upon as getting rid of unwanted energy.
🔮 Mirrors are thought to amplify the power of everything they reflect. Placing beautiful items such as flowers, crystals, shells and candles, along with keeping them out of sight of clutter can invite beautiful energy into the home.
🔮 Essential oil diffusers are an amazing tool. Use them to infuse whatever essential oils you want in your home, as different oils have different magickal correspondences. I also place my diffuser at the bottom of my wardrobe, to infuse my clothing with different scents and for magickal intent.
🔮Fresh flowers in the home are a great way to liven up a room and have magickal correspondences. Blue flowers are associated with drawing peace and tranquility into the home, so I often have blue hydrangeas in my flower vases.
🔮 To keep away unwanted guests, smear patchouli oil on door handles. Make sure all family members are in the home when doing this.
🔮 Place salt on the windowsills for protection. If a room in your home feels full of negative energy, placing salt in the four corners of the room and letting it sit there for 48 hours will absorb this energy.
🔮 When cooking for my family, I visualize it being infused with love. I imagine the love pouring from my heart into my meals - this simple practise is nurturing and calming.

Working with ●●●
Tumblr media
●●●Salamanders
⋆ What are elementals
● Tricky to answer without commenting on a mix of beliefs and religions. In the 16th century Paracelsus was the first to coin the term, and since then it has been used and borrowed by many other practices, the most known one being Wicca.
● Elementals, as the name suggests, are beings - physical representation of the four Western Elements: Water, Fire, Air, Earth ― and as such, having and carrying the energy of each correspondent element.
● These known elementals are: Nymphs for Water, Sylphs for Air, Pygmy for Earth and Salamanders for Fire.
➠―――――――――――
🔥 When to Call upon the Salamanders?
● Being literal fire, or embodiments of such, Salamanders are called upon to grant Will power, Passion, Inspiration, Courage, Drive, Ambition, Movement and Force.
● Whenever you feel stagnated or in a state of immobility due to an obstacle, channeling and borrowing the Salamander’s energy will do the job.
➠―――――――――――
👁Take Care
● Once again, they represent fire, and as such have no caution nor restraint ― unless you plan well how to borrow from them, plan a cool down and then come with some water and earth element or perhaps even an offering as a thanks to end the energetical trade you’ll feel some lasting effects.
● These effects tend to drive one into a frenzy, you’ll find yourself being impulsive, temperamental with more hot-headedness and less patience.
― Also beware of the flame if you decide to use fire when communicating with them, the flame tends to dance and jump, so keep that away from anything that is flammable.
➠―――――――――――
Preparations
― Before you begin, clean your space ― do whatever cleansing method you’re comfortable with.
― Then, proceed to clean and prepare your body; try and neutralize the energies first and then come with an intensifier that will bring up the specific energies you wish to accent.
― If you want to bring your deities or your guides with you in this, that is the time to call upon then.
● This type of work is more effective when done on Sundays | Sun - Fire
● The space for this work has to be pointing to the South | Fire
● Good spices to bring and to boost the wanted energies are Pepper and Cinnamon
● Do this work on the First Ray of Sun of the day or/and with a Fire Element (candles) present.
➠―――――――――――
Instructions
― You prepared everything, from your space, to yourself and to the spectral beings that accompany you in this path. Light up your candles, concentrate - sit or stand faced towards the direction of the instruments you’ve put (facing South!), close your eyes and now you chant ―
I salute you, Salamanders
That you represent the element of fire.
I ask that with your work,
Give me the power to resolve everything,
According to your will,
Feeding my inner fire
Raising my heart's threefold flame
And so form a new universe
Masters of fire,
I greet you fraternally.
Even a beginner witch should be able to still see the flame flickering and feel a hotness envelop their body. More experienced witches will feel touches and hear ancient voices as licks of fire.
Hope this helps anyone out there who's in need of a little fire to boost their path.
Blessed be, take care and trust yourself
-Lou

Whenever people see an intelligent animal with a witch, there is a common assumption that it is the witches familiar. And while true, many of them are simply magical animal helpers…
Others are actually young witch babies.
Since witches have no womb and are a byproduct of wild magic, whenever a witch wishes for a child they might one day find a young animal lingering around the house, much like receiving a familiar. An easy way to tell the difference between a youngling and a familiar, however, is that once bonded a familiar will soon begin speaking thereafter. Younglings will not develop speech until much later in their development.
The 2 year mark is when familiar and youngling dimorphism begins. While familiars will simply grow into an adult animal, younglings will enter into a “troll” stage, in which they will develop traits that separate them from ordinary creatures but do not yet resemble a human. It is towards the end of this stage that they will begin saying words, and simple sentences. Minor jinx magic is to be expected.
Tumblr media
The “troll” stage will last for ~5 years, and the next stage can happen anytime within the next 3-6 following years. They will encounter a sudden “growth spurt,” where they will suddenly come into distinctly human shapes, while still retaining vestigial traits from their troll years. This transformation can happen overnight, or take over a year to complete. They can begin practicing simple spell magic at this point.
Tumblr media
Finally, usually around the 18 year mark, they will fully shed any last vestigial traits, and appear as any other mature witch.
