Looking through my bucket of casts and found a gold one for each tiny Knight Bloom design I've made over the years. Unfortunately, they're all different golds, so I can't even make them a set 😑
A small batch of Knight Blooms will be available in the shop soon.
Modifying Hawthorn into a sitting position, which is opposite of how I usually make my sculpts.
When I'm making a new sculpt by hand, I usually take a failed casting and cut it apart and rearrange things until I get something I like. It's nice being able to do the same thing in a digital space
I made a photobook of my toy photography photos from this blog!
For those who may not know, from 2011 to 2021, I posted a toy photo every day on this blog, using it as a way to build up my editing and photography skills so I could take better photos of my own work (and as a way to share my toy collection).
Eventually, it started feeling like a chore, and I stopped the daily photos after 10 years. Looking back through them, there were a lot that I was proud of, and it's a nice record of the fandoms I was interested in within that decade (there's so many Mass Effect pages 😆)
So I picked out some of my favorites and put them into a photo book as an archive.
*Since I've gotten a couple messages about this, I'm willing to print more copies of this photobook, but I'd have to order some in bulk to make the pricing reasonable, so let me know if you're interested
Spent the day yesterday putting together this koi lantern that I got from @yuumei-art 's Kickstarter last year. Thought it fitting to put it underneath this dragon lamp 🐲
This time last year, I was learning how to 3D model, and this sculpt started out as an Adventurer Grogu 😆It eventually turned into an adventurer rabbit and fox/red panda/cat thing.
I finalized design of the rabbit first and had it made into a soft vinyl toy, and in between my handsculpted pieces, have been reworking the model into what would become this adventurer cat. I just painted the resin prototype for now, to see how it looks together with Hawthorn.
Anyway, I've got more Hawthorn colorways planned in the coming year.
There are certain bases/poses I tend to use for a lot of my sculpts, but this base, originally used for my Dahlia Knight, is probably my favorite. From Tarkus, to Mando, and then to Faraam Knight, I feel like the shape is slowly getting more refined and balanced with each new sculpt.
Anyway, all three are available in the shop 😀 ngfiona.bigcartel.com
This year was full of making a bunch of these Onionbro variants-Onion Knights, Pumpkin Knights, and Chestnut Knights. I've got a few pieces of each type left in the shop, ready to be shipped out. After this batch is gone, it'll probably be awhile until I make more.
