saw a poll about dry/humid heat and like OBVIOUSLY everyone preferred dry heat but. would love to know what everyone considers to be “too hot”

The thing about people talking about how much they hate children is that I've never seen any correlation between "openly expressed loathing of children" and "support for policies that actively harm children."

In contrast, when people go out of their way to tell you how much they love children and want to protect children, it's at least a 50/50 chance that you are about to hear support for the most actively evil assault on children's rights and dignity that you can possibly imagine.

people complain that feminists are the fun police until we start making jokes about divorce, abortion and menocide suddenly everyone becomes mr politically correct

so weird to hear experienced scientists and clinicians talk about “birthing parents” and “pregnant people”

i’m listening to someone go over prenatal stress and the socioeconomic factors that comprise it but she keeps using gender neutral language

like aside from the fact that there has never been a human father who has given birth, how are we just glossing over the way that those socioeconomic factors uniquely and specifically affect women

just another example of how people have redefined intersectionality to mean that sexism doesn’t exist

solidarity between people who want to take psychiatric meds to function and those who don’t.

What’s important is that we both have autonomy, informed consent and safe access to treatments we want, and to not be forced, coerced or pressured into those we don’t.
