I just realized this but Steven’s crazy diamond powers came from Spinel hitting him with the rejuvenator. It “reset” his gem to Pink Diamond so her powers are trying to break out. It may also be like in 3 Gems and a Baby where Pearl said Rose couldn’t reform because she was trapped inside Steven. More of Pink’s personality is showing, such as tantrums and violent outbursts, but also her physical traits, like her pink hue and diamond pupils.
