B-R-U-H, ok, so, not a request, also, I’m very new to this fandom (verrrrry new) but I’ve already seen a log of spoilers for a lot of it, but anyways I had to tell someone how on point my crazy detector is. I haven’t even gotten to him being crazy (I won’t say who in case anyone else doesn’t know) but like, the first time introduced, I looked at his face for about two seconds and in my mind I said, “that’s the one. That dude is insane, like actually crazy.” Yet he’s still who I’m going for smh

YEAH HAHA, before I got wayyyy through the game I was always really suspicious of him, the aura around him just didn’t seem right. but I never actually guessed it, it was always just an itch at the back of my brain that I paid no mind to. I’m surprised you managed to guess it so fast!

addressing my absence

I’m sure most of you have noticed that I haven’t posted anything new in a VERY long time. since the beginning of lock down, I wanna say. I don’t want to go on a rant about my sob story, but I feel that you all deserve an explanation.

quarantine was extremely rough on my mental health, as it was for everybody. throughout my life I’ve always experienced periods of anxiousness and a few depressive episodes, but it had never gotten to this point before. my motivation was down the drain and it was a struggle to pick myself up each day. and by living in the states, the election was also coming up which was extremely damaging to me. I kept telling myself to write, but everytime I opened up a doc it was very difficult to find the right words, and every time I wrote out a paragraph, something always seemed wrong. there’s the explanation that I felt you needed

but, that’s not my point. I’m here to tell you guys that I’m going to try my best to get writing again! things have gotten a lot better for me since the start of November, and they’re still looking up. I have a ton of requests still in my inbox (along with some matchups) and if I have the motivation, I’ll get to them ASAP!

(I also want to mention, please don’t be afraid to interact with me!! when you guys just send a simple message through anon, it makes my day and I get more excited than you know haha! there’s around 900 of you, I’d love to talk to you<3)

Ok so maybe let us pick our gender..

I’m assuming you mean start writing gender neutral from now on? in my rules post, I specified that unless specific pronouns were requested, I would write she/her pronouns and occasionally gender neutral (I’m just more comfortable writing she/her pronouns, which is why I used them for every work). I don’t want to make anybody feel excluded or uncomfortable, so when I start writing again, I’ll try to write gender neutral more often! I can’t promise that it will be for every post though, because as I mentioned earlier, it’s a lot easier for me to write with she/her pronouns and more feminine mannerisms. You felt like your head was going to explode. Never in your life had you met somebody as frustrating as Scarlett. Having to listen to her constantly flirt with your boyfriend was something you thought would be the least of your concerns in the apocalypse, yet here you were. 

Watching her cling to Zion was something she had done since you showed up, but ever since the two of you had made your relationship official, it had only gotten worse. At first, you were lenient and tried your hardest to be understanding. It was clear the two of them had some sort of connection, so you thought it was best to leave it. You knew that Zion prioritized you, and you trusted him to tell Scarlett to back off when he felt uncomfortable.

After a month of it happening, you would think that Scarlett would get the hint to not do it anymore. You were almost one-hundred percent sure she would, but as shown by her actions, she pretended to be blind. Despite Zion telling her off multiple times, and your visible unease when she flirted with him, she still continued. Was it just to spite you? You weren’t sure.

Your frustration and annoyance was only building up with each word she spoke to him. You tried to ignore it, but despite your best efforts, your anger continued growing at an alarming rate. In a way, it was making you feel a little insecure and unsure of yourself. It was hard for you to talk smoothly to Zion like she did with ease. Was she better than you? You couldn’t help but let that idea invade your mind. Zion loved you with all of his heart and you the same, but you couldn’t help feeling a tad insecure on occasion. Especially when Scarlett’s flirting was non-stop.

You let out a frustrated breath of air as you opened the door of your sleeping space, hastily making your way down the hall to the blonde girl’s room. The light of the sunset illuminated the hallway just right, dust particles flying as you stepped in front of the wooden classroom door. You lifted your hand to knock, but halted the movement as thoughts began to flood your head. You began to slightly panic, doubt clouding your brain.

Oh god, what am I doing? I don’t have the guts to do this… What made me think I did? What if I mess up? Oh my god, what if I stutter?! I’ll make such a fool of myself! What if she tells Zion I confronted her and he gets mad at me a-

You snapped yourself out of your mini-crisis, shaking your head as you took a deep breath, focusing yourself as you lifted your hand once again.

You sharply knocked on the door to the classroom and waited for a familiar face to open the door. Seeing the door creak open, you waited patiently for Scarlett to make herself visible. As her ruby red eyes climbed their way up your form, a smirk crawled across her lips.

“What the hell do you want?” Her cocky tone was hard to miss.

“I need to talk to you,” you harshly replied, not caring for formality as you made your way into her room.

“Not a very polite one, are you?” She scoffed, slamming the door shut and looking back at you. “Well? My ears are wide open. Spit it out or leave.”

Her tone made your blood boil. Your fists clenched together, and you swear that if you gritted your teeth and harder, they would break. Taking in a quick breath, you began.

“Listen. I don’t need you interrupting me or talking over me, so don’t even try it. Sit still and listen to what I’m saying, okay?”

The venom in your words was sharp. Her eyes widened at the statement as she nodded, her lips closed tightly.

“Good. First off, let’s talk about the way you treat me. I have been nothing but kind to you, but all you give me in return is attitude and bitchiness. Fix that. Next, what’s up with you and Zion? I know you two were close before I came here, and I understand why you would be clingy with him, but I need you to understand that he isn’t your boyfriend. He’s mine. Stop trying to flirt with him just to piss me off. You’re not going to get anywhere with it. Know your place, please.”

As you finished the final word, you sighed. It felt nice to get the pent up frustration off your chest. Your eyes made their way over to Scarlett. Her mouth was slightly agape as she looked at you, you could see the shock pooling its way into her face. Feeling somewhat satisfied, you gave her a small wave.

“Now if you’ll excuse me.”

As you stepped out of the classroom, the melodic laugh of your boyfriend made its way to your ears. A warm feeling of embarrassment spread through your chest, your face turning bright red as you scratched the back of your neck.

“You… heard all of that, didn’t you?”

Zion chuckled once again and made his way towards you, wrapping his arms around you tightly.

“I’ve never heard you that worked up before.”

A sheepish smile appeared on your lips. “Y-Yeah… Was I too rude? Sorry…”

He pulled away and moved his hands to your cheeks, forcing you to look into his eyes. “You weren’t being rude, you were just telling the truth. To be honest, Scarlett needed somebody to put her in her place, but we were all too scared to do it.”

Putting his forehead against yours, he gave you a teasing smirk. “And why are you apologizing, babe? I kinda like that side of you. It’s hot.” He gave you a quick peck before you panicked, covering your face with your hands.

“Z-Zion! Don’t say stuff like that out of the blue, it’s embarrassing!”

He laughed at your reaction as he poked your sides, trying to get more laughs and giggles out of you.

No matter how much you hated his teasing, you loved the man to death, and you knew for sure that he felt the same way about you. And that thought in itself gave you all the reassurance you would ever need.
