okay let’s imagine little tony who has a lot of attachment and trust issues trying to get used to having people that actually are going to stick around and care about him and love him and pepper and stephen are super patient with him the whole concept of little tony is just so heartwarming

Why are we imagining? This is 110% accurate.

Them both just taking care of him and gathering around him for cuddles when he’s the most insecure of their, or anyones, care. Taking care of him, not really proving themselves but proving to him that he’s worth it despite what he may think and what others have told him in the past.
