I got a new job, most likely full time, as a teacher at a preschool/care center. I'm technically an assistant teacher, but I'm in the infant room. Idk if you could tell by my writing, but I love kids.

The fic is on an indefinite hiatus while I get my life together. I know it's been a year. I'm sorry for that. I just haven't had the motivation to write ever since my life got busy, yknow? But I'll go back to it someday. Thank you all for following!

Hi! I just started reading 'The Spark' I just wanna ask- is it on hiatus? And if so do you plan on updating it sometime this year? Because on Ao3 it says it was last updated in August 2020, (if my math is correct that's like... 10-ish months ago)

I was wondering, are you going to update on The Spark in the summer

No idea! The fic isn't something I'm really gonna schedule, because that sucks the fun out of it for me. I recently got a job and I volunteer a lot for my church, so I am pretty busy this year. Life gets in the way, yknow? But I definitely don't want to give up on the fic. It's just on a bit of a break while I get my ducks in a row :) thanks for asking!

Replied to yalls comments, or at least read them, but didn't write any of chapter 10. Opened a spreadsheet, intent on organizing the shit ive written down about the plot (spread across 18 documents, 3 devices, and some pieces of paper floating around my room somewhere,) promptly realized I have no fucking clue how to use a spreadsheet for anything other than math, then closed the empty file. Wallowed in my sucky organizational skills, Worried about losing all of my readers, suppressed that real quick, then watched a few episodes of classic doctor who.

Hey.

Applied for some jobs. Like an adult.

Have been binge watching Classic Doctor Who to avoid the fact that I am a young adult having to start my life in the middle of a pandemic which has a higher probability of effecting me.

....have not written.

Unless you count the blurbs that appear in my notes app when I wake up, timestampped at 3 am.

But I digress.

Haven't got anything done fanfic wise, but I do have ideas when I can't sleep. Also I'm now starting season 15 of classic who.

I miss Ella and I miss you guys. But most importantly I miss when my laptop was mine and not my brother's school portal.

(....I do have like 3 other computers I could use in the house but I just LIKE my laptop okAY?? Its mine and it has all 200 of my tabs open and all my settings the way I like it and I JUST got used to the damn keyboard size-)

Anyway. A little update rant for you guys. I know I'm procrastinating on the fic, and i think it's because I don't want to let you down. My fault, not yours, I need to get over it.

this isn't an ask. i just wanted to say how happy i am, reading ella's story. i never imagined vanya as a mother but the way you wrote it gave me very vivid images of how it all unfolds. i also wanna thank you for giving life to ella ❤️ i can't wait for the next chapter, but at the same time i hope you take time in writing it. congrats on creating a masterpiece ❤️
