“It’s 2014. Do you know who your children are?” After an accident leaves her without memories, a name, or a past– just a strange set of abilities she has no explanation for, Willow finds herself on the run from authorities and determined to piece together what happened to her, even if some things are best left buried. In the meantime, New York City offers the sheltered mutant the perfect place to hide out, immersing her in a world that’s all new again, making friends, enemies, guzzling all the iced coffees she can drink, and trying to find some semblance of a normal teenage life. However, as Willow’s past catches up to her and memories resurface, Willow realizes the damage and wreckage she left behind isn’t over, forcing her to confront her old life and the nature of how she was created. And when public opinion surrounding those with abilities begins to shift, and the elusive Panoptes Foundation comes to light, Willow realizes that the city she has grown to love may be the most dangerous place for her. So meet Willow. She’s homeless. She’s vicious. She has wings. And she’s new in town.

WRITER'S ASK: how do you handle criticism? what is the worst piece of criticism that you have ever had? what kind of criticism has actually helped you in the past and that you don't mind being told?
One time in high school, I had an adult read a completed short story I had been working on for a while and tell me "it feels a bit too 'Glee.' Eh. I don't know." Probably not the worst piece of criticism ever but I haven't revisited that story since because I was so embarrassed (also, I hadn't even SEEN Glee at that point in my life so it wasn't even like I pulled inspo from Glee... my story apparently just felt LIKE it)
I've also received a fair bit of rejections while querying literary agents that had some very kind criticisms, many of which I still take with me today. For example, I had an agent tell me "very often, you can cut the first chapter and start later" and I STILL do that with all my stories today (start later than I think I should start). AND SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! It changed my story for the better. Another agent also some great advice on building character motivation, which was so helpful. So any criticism that helps me get better and isn't just "I don't like this" is always welcomed.
When I get criticism, I usually can't even LOOK at it for a few days, and it takes me a while to process and work from it. I love getting it, but I just need that buffer hahaha.

FIC WRITING: I know you're focused on Teenage Wasteland right now (LOVE THE POSTERS AND EDITS BTW, YOU'RE AN ACTUAL LEGEND) but what can us mutuals expect after? Will you continue on Willow's journey or will you be focusing on other projects? Can't wait to hear your thoughts 😊
Sorry it takes me forever to respond to these sometimes, I always save them for when I'm feeling especially excited about my stories and just wanna gush about them!!!

After Teenage Wasteland, BOOH will be on a break, but there is a part 3 and 4 planned before Willow's personal story of growth and change comes to a close. After that, the MCU still has Infinity War and what follows, but Willow's journey in that is slightly more static.
Part 3 dives heavily into Willow's past and mostly follows her path of healing from that, while Part 4 focuses on Willow taking back her life, and taking down the Panoptes Foundation once and for all.
I'll likely do a little writing on some of my Star Wars OCs during the break, and perhaps some additional building on other OCs.

OC Ficmas 2022
This year we’ll be doing things a little differently. I’m going to release the masterlist of all the OC fanfics that have been submitted at the beginning. On December 1st, I will release the masterlist.
Before starting: You must be following me on one of the following platforms to participate: tumblr (arrthurpendragon) or wattpad (arrthurpendragon, obiiwankenobii, or hermiionegrangers)
Challenge: Try to read a bit and leave a kind review on 25 different stories by New Years! (Key word being try. But this is optional. More fun though)
Rules to submit:
Please reblog this post if you’re interested in submitting (So, I know to message you if you’ve “forgotten” to submit)
Fic needs to be published somewhere
You are allowed to submit 2 of your own OC fanfics. (Please send one response per fic. It makes things SO much easier for me)
You are also allowed to submit 2 fics that do not belong to you - but for people you think could use a little holiday cheer!
ll put a cap on the number of stories per author. I’m leaning toward 3 or 4. But I will solidify that number while creating the masterlist.
This form will remain open throughout December. I will do my best to add them to the masterlist throughout the month- please know that those submitted earlier will have more time on the masterlist and a better chance of getting read.
I’m still debating if I’ll make individual posts on my blog. It’s something I would LOVE to do, I’m just not sure what my schedule is going to look like. Crazy for sure, but how crazy I do not know.
That being said, I’m not going to police who has read & reviewed each fic. I will create comments on the Google Doc - so you can say if you read or reviewed and I hope that people would choose fics that haven’t received much love. That being said, I will not be policing to make sure each fic gets reviews. Anons sent complaining about this will be deleted and will not be considered in any fashion. Go complain elsewhere. I’m trying to do something to help others - you’re not.
