I’m not sure if this counts, but almost all of the promo for Miley Cyrus’ new music is flashing and strobing. There are no warnings for it on Insta or Twitter!
Can confirm. Definite 4.

The Canadian tv show Flashpoint has many scenes of emergency lights, some of which take up the whole screen. These can come without warning, and are often long, dialogue-heavy scenes. There are also episodes taking place in nightclubs, and at least one episode where they use a flashing grenade to stun people. Some episodes are maybe a 2, but overall the series has a lot that could be 4/5. Sorry I can’t be more specific. Stay safe everyone
Only goes up to 4 here, and considering a lot of episodes go up to around there (especially since they’re emergency lights), Flashpoint gets a 4 everyone! Be careful when watching it! Also, feel free to submit non-US shows!

The Promised Neverland is a thriller anime, but most of the horror is not physical, but psychological.

Hello, I absolutely love this blog! Thank you for all the hard work in evaluating movies and video games. If possible, could you evaluate The Sims 4? It's one of the only video games that I'm interested in playing
It’ll take a while, but I can probably do a rating for The Sims 4. Until then, I’d suggest grabbing it now to at least have it in your library since it’s free until May 28 :)

TITLE: SANTA CLARITA DIET TYPE: Television Show EPISODES: All RATING: TV-MA (US), 15 (UK) CREATED BY: Victor Fresco SEVERITY: 1
INCIDENTS: Santa Clarita Diet has almost no instances of flashing lights. There’s infrequent gunfire which is not a big hazard. One thing to watch out for are two explosions, both in Season 2. In episode 9, “Suspicious Objects,” a clam distribution building is blown up. In episode 10, “Halibut!,” an explosion to a fracking site happens from a distance. TRIGGER WARNINGS: Santa Clarita Diet contains copious amounts of gore, vomit (particularly in Season 1), offbeat humor, things that could trigger arachnophobia, and lots of talk/allusions about sexual acts. A main character is sexually harassed/assaulted in the first episode. There is talk of killing Nazis, who say anti-Semitic remarks (often leading to their death by Sheila).

Hiya, Crimes of grindelwald was strobe heavy in the escape scene. This is such a good idea btw, well done. My epilepsy isn’t photosensitive but it’s so important for there to be more info on these kinds of warnings.
Thank you! And thanks for the warning! There’s a strobe heavy scene in Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald, everyone!

I just saw Avengers: Endgame and I want to warn photosensitives out there. A lot of the film is mostly fine, but there are several scenes/sequences with very flashy lights. Many of those scenes come without warning and if recommend people who want to see it to wait for when it’s on Blu-ray/DVD and to see it in a lit room. I did not take notes of the scenes or time stamps, but there are sequences throughout the entirety of the film that are non photo friendly.
A WARNING FOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME! Thanks for submitting this to the blog!

TITLE: Ninja Sex Party TYPE: Musical Duo/Music Videos EPISODES: 6969, Danny Don’t You Know RATING: Unrated CREATED BY: Dan Avidan, Brain Wecht DIRECTOR(S): Aaron Umetani (6969), Sean Barrett (DDYK) SEVERITY: 2
INCIDENTS: Both of the music videos for “6969″ and “Danny Don’t You Know” are flashy, especially compared to their previous music videos due to the higher production value. “6969″ has less effects, many of which are cheesy, to worry about but is an 8-minute space rock epic, so proceed with caution just in case. “Danny Don’t You Know” has lots of lens flare-esque effects and a concert sequence that has spotlights and moves around a lot.
ADDITIONAL WARNING: Ninja Sex Party’s songs are explicit, often in a sexual manner. It is comedic writing, but parents or those in homes that do not welcome such content should know this. Danny and Brian are in another group called “Starbomb” featuring Arin Hanson (of Game Grumps and Egoraptor) which could be argued to be even more explicit.

TITLE: BLACK MIRROR: BANDERSNATCH TYPE: Television Movie/Video Game(?) EPISODES: 1 RATING: TV-MA (US), 15 (UK) CREATED BY: Charlie Brooker DIRECTOR(S): David Slade SEVERITY: 1
INCIDENTS: “Bandersnatch” is relatively tame in terms of flashing lights. The only incidents of flashing lights are when computers crash, but they aren’t severe. There is a sequence where two main characters take drugs and there is color correction manipulation. One of these paths can lead to the player directing the main character to jump off of a building, which can cause motion sickness.
