Did some swatches for my Ostara painting. I’m using a palette of Majello pure pigment paints that I bought off Etsy, so I don’t know the names of all the colours. Ostara - work in progress. Ostara is the time of year when the day and the night are even. We are poised on the edge of action - like a sprinter at the starting line of a race. Once the bell sounds and the wheel turns, we are ready to spring into action. The veil between the worlds is thin - as on Samhain - and communication with spirits and otherworldly creatures is easier. Ideas and plans should be cultivated at this time so the rewards can be reaped in the late summer/autumn. Long terms plans take long term action. Element of Air - coloured pencil sketch. I tried to suggest ‘peacock’ when thinking of this element. I love the colours of their feathers. I took liberties with the eye colour for contrast. The Element of Air is associated with creativity, thought and logical persists.
