Luigi's mask muffles a squeak of surprise as Bowser swept him off his feet. He tenses, hurriedly pushing down the folds of his gown so he wouldn't notice anything amiss.

Actually... this felt... nice. He cradled him with such tenderness, unfitting of such a hotheaded brute. Thankfully the mask was also hiding his flushed face at the moment. Bowser must truly love Princess Peach... Boy, he needed to work on his approach though.

❝G-Goodness, Bowser-- You're so big and strong. Thank you.❞

Happy for a chance to steer the koopa away from suspicions, Luigi knew compliments would inflate Bowser's already over-inflated ego-- and the mention of Junior. ❝H-How is dear little Junior doing? Has he missed me?❞

A fight-or-fight-more response shrank burning pupils as that familiar screech bounced off concrete.

A vein on the back of his tightly bound fist bulged. Yet, the monster stared beyond his catch, towards the empty halls. The Super Stupid Bros. couldn't have come that quickly, could they!?

A pinch of drama tugs Bowser by the horn. He must have imagined it. Unfortunately for Peach, the Koopa King has raised eight children and played this sick game before. A tired glaze clouded lidded eyes.

"You're as bad as Junior." The monarch groaned. Still, he played his part. One curled bicep swooped behind the princess and scooped her right off her heels! A second locked her into the bridal hold. "Fine, fine, fine! Let's get you into your bed." A personal chamber had already been prepared for the princess! Her very own room, pink and pleasant as can be - minus the several locks on the door.

What did Mari call this thing? A devil... joe? It certainly seemed fitting. The hulking beast was viciously attacking herds of gentle Aptonoth indiscriminately. It wasn't even eating them-- merely killing for the sheer pleasure of it. There didn't seem to be time to discuss a battle strategy. Mari was already charging ahead, just like Mario would. Luigi hesitated only slightly before urging Yoshi onward too.

Zippy as ever, Yoshi closed the distance in seconds. This was when the monster noticed them. It dropped the poor Aptonoth from its twisted maw and lunged for the green duo. Luigi's heart pounded in his ears so loudly, he could hardly hear the beast snarling so closely, but thankfully Yoshi was far too quick for the lumbering creature.

❝O-Okey-dokey, Yoshi--- Let's-a go--!!❞

Understanding his signal, the dinosaur threw the plumber off his back and Luigi-- being the wondrous jumper he was-- soared high over the Deviljoh, legs fluttering wildly.

Whipping out his hammer, Luigi came back down hard on the beast's head while it became distracted by the small dinosaur darting around it.
