Buried: you escape the sneering dark by burying yourself alive, how do you tell time passes? you cant, theres footsteps overhead, groans and rattles. stay there. its safer in the earth

Flesh: morning returns, you emerge from your tomb to bodies aflame, leaving behind only rotting, charred skin and bone. you’re starving. where did the kind animals go?

Slaughter: you find a pig, its eyes are so kind. you are starving. you find a cow and her calf. you are not starving. you find a sheep. you do not need sleep. you have no sheers.

Hunt: there are precious things in the earth. you have so little food and even less protection. but there are precious, precious things. you burn alive, you fall, you’re crushed. there are precious things.

Corruption: there are spiders, theyre not so bad. you have nothing for their poison but you survive, and you can hear them. there are others, too, lurking in the rock, unheard. they writhe as you release them. they want to thank you.

Spiral: youve left torches to find your way back from the earth. they were on your right. no your left. theyre gone. wasnt that gravel cascade behind you? you leave a trail of cobblestone. there are no more torches.

Stranger: you emerge from the earth. exhausted, scared. there are houses nearby. there are voices. they look nothing like you, these inhabitants. you cannot converse with them and they are not hostile, but you do not know them.

Desolation: you take everything from the strangers, their food, their comforts, their lives. the flames are so simple, too. not exactly needed, but its satisfying, anyway. you do not watch their world burn, theres no need. you know they cannot stop it.

Vast: you travel. the oceans are deep, but you do not drown. you travel. but even the sky has its limits. you dig. you destroy the density between worlds and plummet into absence. the ceiling is speckled and fast receding. you do not die before you find the ground again. you must make that choice on your own.
