29 Scorpia and whoever seems right

I'm feeling accomplished tonight, for real.

Breaking away from the Horde turned out to be the best thing Scorpia had ever done. Everything was so green and fragrant away from the Fright Zone, her time wasn't planned down to each specific task, and she actually had time to have fun. It was crazy, and great, and she couldn't resist a giggle of delight at the thought. 

She clapped her claws over her mouth in the next second and held her breath, hoping she hadn't given her position away. Turns out, hide and seek was pretty fun when the losing team didn't get punished. Who knew?

After a few seconds of silence, with nothing but the breeze shaking the long grass, Scorpia moved forward. She usually chose the big tree in the middle of the clearing, just because that was the biggest thing around, but she'd been found too many times, and she had to switch up her tactics.

There was a flash of pink off to her left, and she let Perfuma tackle her, dramatically falling back into the grass. The landing wasn't even very hard, and Scorpia curled her arms around Perfuma just to make sure she wouldn't get hurt.

Perfuma smiled brilliantly, her hair wild around her head, and she cupped Scorpia's face in her hands, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. Scorpia giggled again, which made Perfuma giggle, and then they were laughing together, still trying to steal kisses.

Finally, Scorpia asked, "Was I the first you found?"

Perfuma shook her head. "Second. You're getting better."

Scorpia flopped back into the grass and flowers and spread her arms and legs out as far as she could. "I think I'll stay here. You've still got eight people to find."

Perfuma stole one last kiss and rolled up onto her feet. "I'll try to cut this short."

"Good luck," Scorpia said. "You're never going to find Catra. She's the best at this game. Adora can't even find her if she doesn't want to be found."

"Ugh," Perfuma said with feeling. "We'll see about that." She vanished back into the grass. Scorpia smiled and looked up at the blue sky, wondering if she'd ever been as happy as she was at that moment.
