Hello friends! Long time no post!
I made an artstation account for a school assignment, and have been filling it up with past work so it looked less sad and empty! If you have an arstation account too, consider following me maybe~ I’ll follow back!! Or, if not, feel free to just peruse my work like an online portfolio if you feel so inclined! I really appreciate it either way!

Here’s some recent work for ~tax

This project ate up 132 hours of my life and gave me blisters on my thumb about halfway through, and I’m still not sure it’s worth it
Character design project-- characters were meant to fit in to a previous scene we drew.
Shout out to EA and the Sims 4 for providing me with mermaid reference shots that google failed me on, and for being the inspiration for the expressions

My final project-- A mix of three point perspective and one point. It is!!! not great, due to limitations that come along with being forced to work from home, but I did my best! // March 19, 2020

I can firmly say at this point that i hate perspective grids
this is a two point perspective project, and would be a background for an animation. we had to include 10 props in the image to help build narrative and atmosphere

Some one point perspective practice for class-- about halfway through I found out the assignment needed to be monochromatic, so I put a black and white filter on the whole thing.... it remains to be seen how many points I’ll lose for that..... // January 30, 2020

so, this is my final project for storytelling. the goal was to make storyboards with some audio dubbed over it, and i think i went a little overboard (this is what storyboards typically look like, for reference), but i was really excited about making something cool. this is the culmination of about 61 hours of work, including a couple of all-nighters in there, and i’m really proud of how it turned out. i’m also really happy i badgered my friends into doing some voice work for it-- the most fun part of this project was us fucking around in the makeshift studio for three hours.
this project was mostly done in photoshop, where i painted about 100 seperate images to put together in a sequence for this video-- each frame averaged about an hour of drawing and painting. audio was recorded in audacity. all of the video editing and audio work was put together in davinci resolve (including the camera shake at the start).
there are improvements i would make next time, if i had more resources and more time before my deadlines. I’d fix the timing at the end, and add more frames so that it’s more clear that the villain gets pushed into the pit. but with what i had to work with time-wise and how much i put into it, i think it turned out pretty sick.
special thanks to young justice for very heavily inspiring my style for this project and for providing endless reference resources, and to michael buckley for writing the book that inspired this final project adaptation. and to dylan for keeping me company and talking to me about wrestling and loona at 3 am in the lab.
i’ll see y’all next semester // december 11, 2019
