Babies have more then 3 states of being and sometimes you just have to hold them and bounce them gently while saying solemnly “yes it is very hard to be a baby” because frankly it is

A new baby is exhausting. 

Even more exhausting is a new baby who may or may not be the target of a psychopathic wizard with a god complex… James Potter knew this. 

He also knew that if his wife didn't get out of the house she was going to break… or maybe he was. Either way, when Marlene arranged a girls night out for her, James encouraged it…

Lily: Y’know I really don’t have to go tonight? Marlene won’t mind if I don’t go with them and you shouldn’t be left in the house alone, never mind alone *with* Harry 

James: Go out, Lil. you need the distraction, and we both know Marlene will mind if you don’t go. 

Lily: But if he really is going after Harry then-

James: We don’t know that for certain. go out and have fun.

Lily: But-

Lily: Are you sure? I-

James watches his wife walk out of the house and waits for just a moment, taking in his son’s tiny features before placing him gently in the crib at his side.

I'm curious - if you don't mind telling - what was the career you planned on having where you could no longer cosplay, roleplay, go to cons etc? From what I've gathered you've decided on a different career so I hope you don't mind me asking) ❤️

I wanted to be in the secret service 😅

It’s what I’ve wanted to do ever since I was a kid, and not for a second did my determination waver until I kissed Lucy for the first time.

Truth is, I’m terrified of being bored or restricted for the rest of my life so, I figured I’d just pick the most exciting career I could think of with no regard for the danger or the secrets, or the travelling. And then Lucy, and then his desperation for forever with her ❤️

So I changed my mind, I’m working towards something else and I’m doing it for the new future. I’m doing it for stability, and a family, and all the things I never thought I wanted. And I’m doing it for me, because it turns out that’s been the dream the whole time, and so has she.

I want to say Antionette because she’s my girl but there’s two other characters that already own my ass (Claudine and Nadia) and I’m saying nothing more but I love them and I love where Lucy and I are thinking of taking them ❤️

It changes a whole lot but the one character who endures every fandom whim is James Potter. It doesn’t matter which fandom I am most involved in, I will always have a soft spot for that boy

I have watched Good Omens three times now. Once alone, once with Lucy and once with Laura. It’s amazing.

When Lucy and I watched it I lost count of the amount of times I said ‘you’ when Aziraphale was on screen and Lucy did the same with me and Crowley... not cosplaying them would be serving a great injustice. Although I think we are leaning more to ‘ineffable wives’ ❤️

The rational part of my brain is wishing for Sherlock Holmes because how bloody cool would that be?

But the irrational (slightly sadistic) side of me would love Lestat De Lioncourt to be a real guy... that a beautiful, ridiculous, damaged brat.
