I'm here (Loki x reader)

Summary: After finding out the man she loves won't come back, (y/n) feels her world destroying. But Loki might be closer than she thinks.

A/n: This is based on one of the many theories why Loki is still alive after Infinity War, It's 2 a.m here but I was decided on posting it today.

Word count: 1202

Warnings: mentions of death, fluff... A lot, saddness and that's it.

You agreed to meet up with Thor in a café in New York, after half the people in your town simply dissapeard, you needed to know why, and most important, you needed to know Loki was fine, the last time you saw each other was a couple of months ago. He came to visit, stayed a few days and then left, as usual, you hated when he was away, but you treasured every minute with him.

While you were waiting for Thor you fidget with a silver chain Loki gave to you before he left, and remember the day he said goodbye to you.

-I’m sorry my love, but I must go, Asgard needs me.- he said holding your hands.

-No, stay, just another day, please, you leave for so long sometimes… - you felt a tear runing down your cheek.

-I know, I will try to come back as soon as I can, I promise- He said and then placed a kiss on your hands. -I love you- You smiled and kissed him, -I love you to, please take care-

-I will, goodbye my love- he said and you saw him being dragged back to Asgard.

You saw the door open, but it was not just Thor who came in, other Avengers were with him. Since you saw only a few you assumed the rest may have dissapeard like the people in your town. -Lady (y/n), it’s good to see you again- he said while he took your hand and pressed a kiss on it. -You too, I see you brought company with you-

-I’m sorry miss (y/l/n), but we need your help- Bruce Banner said as he got up and walked towards you. He sat next to you. -It’s very urgent-

-I assume it is, half the people in my town vanished, in seconds they were all gone.- you said still holding your chain. -It was not only in your town, it was everywhere, even our Friends...- You looked up at Steve when he said that. He stayed silent for a moment. -But we will get them back, I assure you that- he continued.

-But why would you need my help, I don’t have powers, and I’m no hacker at all, why are you here?- You saw all of them nervious about what they were going to say. -Thor told us you knew Loki, and that he worked for Thanos, did he told you anything about him? Anything we could use to fix this?-

You didn’t exactly knew how to react to what they were asking you. -T...Thanos? He did this? The one who controled and tortured Loki to come here?!-

-Lady (y/n), there is something you need to know, Loki… he is…- you saw his eyes tear up, -I know he is alive Thor… but… that’s not what you are trying to say, is it?- Thor hold your hand. -Thanos killed him… he is dead- You felt your whole world collapse. -N…no, no! He promised…- Thor hugged you, a few minutes after you stoped crying, he said said -please (y/n) we really need your help, I know It’s hard, but please-

-I’m sorry- you said sobbing, -I can’t, I… I have to get out of here- you said then stormed out and headed to your house.

When you arrived you felt your legs giving up and you fell to the floor, you have never cried this hard, you couldn’t think of anything, the only thing in your mind was a constant reminder that you would never see the man you loved again. Only a few minutes passed untill you heard a knock on your door, you managed to get up and open the door, it was Bruce.

-Dr. Banner?- from all people you thought could be there, he was definetly the last one. -How do you know where I live?- you asked wiping some tears.

-I… um followed you, I’m sorry (y/n), after you left the cafe like that, I was worried about you, are you alright?- You were trying so hard to hold more tears back. -Dr. Banner…- you started. -Please, call me Bruce-

-Bruce… I know nothing about Thanos, except that he tortured the man I love, in case you were wondering, it was not Loki’s fault what happened in New York, he couldn’t even start taking about it without breaking, I’m sorry, but I can’t help you…- you didn’t expect him pulling you into a hug.

-What did he mean to you?-For some strange reason, you felt like you could trust him, as if you knew him since forever. You started sobbing as you answered. -Everything… I loved him, I would have done anything for him, he made everything better for me, I knew he sufered, but he always had the most beautiful smile, I treasured every moment with him, even the nightmares… everything seemed better with him.- You sighed and then continued -If he were still here I… I would never let him go again, I would hugged him like the first time, and never let go… If he were here…- You couldn’t continue, you started sobbing again, untill two simple words brought you back to life.

-I’m here- You saw a flash of green as Banner dissapeard and turned into the man you thought you would never see again. Your heart started pounding on your chest. You hold him even harder as if you were afraid he would vanish if you let go. -Loki?-

He showed a soft smile as you pressed your head in his chest. -Hello, my Queen- you continued sobbing. -How? I thought… Thor said you… Thanos…- you couldn’t complete one sentence without choking on your words. Loki gave you a kiss on your forehead. -I know, I’m sorry you had to find out about that, but I’m fine, I had to make it realistic so Thanos would believe it, but I am safe, shh, my love, don’t cry, it’s fine, I’m right here with you, and will not leave you again-

-Loki, I thought I would never see you again, it was the worst feeling I’ve had, but you’re here now, that’s all that matters.- Loki broke out of your hug and kissed your hands. -But, if you're here, where is Banner?- you asked. -Don’t worry, he is safe, he escaped with some friends.- You sighed in relief. You found Loki staring at your (y/e/c) eyes.

-I love you (y/n), you are the kindest woman I’ve met, and I’m lucky to call you mine.- you giggled and then kissed him. -I love you to Loki, thank you for making my day better with nothing but your smile, knowing you are safe, makes everything better.- He kissed you passionately.

That night you cuddled in bed, you falling asleep to the sound of his voice as he read to you, before falling asleep you had one last thought. “Moments like this, can make you bare every obstacle life gives, because the reward is always beautiful.” You closed you eyes, thinking about your new adventures that waited for you, and feeling lucky for having someone to keep you company during your Best and worst moments…
