So with the holidays coming this feels relevant again. Remember, covid anxieties, vaccinated or not, and other pandemic-related things aside, you do not need a global pandemic to justify having boundaries and wanting to see people or visit home. Covid makes justifications and excuses easier (sometimes) but it’s your comfort that is the most important regardless. 

To anyone who is struggling with the holidays this year, due to their choice to stay safe and keep away from friends and family, no matter what they say, no matter what kind of guilt tripping you may be facing, harrassment, arguments, and names you may be called, you are doing the right thing. And I’m so proud of you.
