on the air for 13 SEASONS and counting, because they know that all they gotta do to maintain viewership is give the audience gratuitous Spencer Reid whump at steadily increasing levels of severity

i think every time matthew gray gubler’s voice cracks on camera, i grow a new ovary, and their contracts get renewed

i am really really lucky i never kept up with this show, because if i did, hooo boy, i’d be in deep

this doe-eyed white boy with an obscenely vulnerable-sounding voice?? has a traumatic childhood? daddy issues?? gets literally tortured by an unsub?? gets addicted to heroin? has symptoms of psychosis?? gets addicted to heroin AGAIN?? goes to a hypnotherapist to have MORE traumatic flashbacks to his childhood?

like, this show is good i guess, but the only reason it’s still on the air after THIRTEEN SEASONS is because matthew gray gubler is so good at looking Pretty and Sad and Vulnerable that he makes even jaded butch folks want to be maternal
