can we normalise disney giving us the gay ship we want to see because the characters very obviously have chemistry and their development is leading them to be together instead of freaking out and springing a shitty straight ship no one wanted on us last minute as if that will make it all better :)
I think what Hyde means by prison here is multiple things that count as one.
Jekyll.
And that makes sense
Hyde is like an escape to Jekyll, and as we know Jekyll has been stressed out lately, the lodgers are turning against him and everything he’s worked for his falling apart. It’s a prison. And Hyde especially sees it as that. Jekyll does too but can’t exactly word it or explain the feeling as Hyde does.
Hyde doesn’t want to go back to the life of Jekyll, and in a way, Jekyll himself doesn’t.
Hyde and Jekyll do share thought chains, we see it with Blackfog. We know Jekyll wanted to go but is bound by society, we see Hyde wanted to go and wasn’t bound, he did everything so he COULD go.
It’s also interesting how Hyde is arguing with himself, acting as both rational and irrational thinking - because Jekyll isn’t there. There’s no one he can trust. He’s paranoid, immensely so. And he’s starting to crack, and unlike Jekyll he cant hide it, he’s impulsive by nature.
These are just my rambling thoughts so IAKKAKW sorry if this makes 0 sense, I swear it makes sense in my brain-
