Which ya dystopia could you imagine your favorite ships in? I usually don't like YA because they make the female characters so bland.

I unfortunately don't read a lot of dystopian novels because they're not my thing, but Gaanaru would work well in Hunger Games.

This actually works for all aspects of life, and it's been a great comfort for me personally. If it's difficult to make yourself get something down, or if you expect something great of yourself, remember this: something worth doing is worth doing. Even if it's half-assed. Even if it's done poorly. A story written badly is a story that might not have existed. Teeth poorly brushed could have gone without being brushed at all. An assignment handed in with only an hour's work on it is 50 points instead of 0.

If you want something to exist, or something to be done, then spending even just a couple of minutes on it is better than doing nothing.

When that part of you crawls up and starts screeching about how badly done something is, tell it the thing you did was better off being done poorly than not at all.

I'm sure this is partly gameplay and story segregation, but it's not like she brings influence or gold to the Inquisition. It doesn't go up even a bit when you recruit her, in spite of what the game tells you about her connections. And she didn't even have enough loyal mages to gather to close the breach. I was thinking that Bioware could have implemented a system where Josephine occasionally informs you that 1/3

Vivienne met with nobility and other high-ranking people, and your influence bar or gold increases. That would have demonstrated her connections better than just telling us she has them. If they had done that it could have introduced conflicting feelings in the player, like do I keep this obviously untrustworthy person around for the benefits? Or do I remain true to my values and forgo recruiting this character who brings so many benefits? 2/3

As it is, she looks like a user and a mooch and I have no problem making do without her (and I suspect many other players did as well.) 3/3

Well, considering she was originally supposed to be a war table companion and nothing more (x), I don't think they had the opportunity to make her more. It actually makes me think they introduced her more for what she'll do in the future than in DA:I.

You're also talking to something of a completionist, so the 90 Influence (or 60 Influence and 85-120 gold) you get from Vivienne's war table quests is something I legitimately wondered if I was willing to lose. (And it kind of fulfills your whole 'maybe she could increase our influence or gold sometimes' thing.)

And, well, there are definitely those out there who saw she gave them advice, thought she sounded like she cared, and listened to her. So. For some people, her plan definitely worked. But yeah, I'm always happy to not deal with her temper tantrums, lol.
