Feelings in Darkness

I cry lying down,

And think when trying to sleep,

Then doze off to videos.

This isn't a list of feelings,

It's not some clear thing.

A noise can terrify me,

Open doors leave mine barricaded,

My mind spins a million ways

Never simple like clockwork or widdershins

So how could I name innumerous feelings?

Or know what darkness amplifies?

Everyone should follow what's happening at Columbia right now. This is the largest protest there since 1968, and the admin just stripped several students of healthcare and housing.

The NYPD arrested over 108 students camping on the South Lawn yesterday. Now, thousands have joined the demonstration. As Israel prepares to commit genocide, Palestinian and Jewish students are taking the lead in protesting institutional complicity around the world.

It's not crying,

Tears coaxed from my eyes,

Breathing hard and stuttered.

It's deeper, harder, worse,

Breath choking out completely,

Forcing a scream to exist,

Pushing just for the sob to go,

Hoping the pain of it will help.

It's painful to sob, completely,

And demands our focus,

Like getting grit out of a wound.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

adults are always talking about how “kids will do anything to get out of school” and okay, first of all that’s not true, but I think we really need to ask why that idea holds so much sway.

children’s brains are hard-wired to take in new information and acquire new skills. consider, for a moment, just how thoroughly our society had to fuck up the concept of education for it to be a normal thing to assume kids are universally desperate to avoid learning.

We weren't a family,

Just strangers vaguely connected,

I guess biologically related,

The family had an end,

Back sometime in high school,

During arguments I wasn't in,

And conflicts only heard rants about.

It wasn't family like I know it,

Like the other expanded half shows.

But maybe we can begin now,

Begin to try and reconnect,

Find a way

Don't let the media make what's happening with Israel, Iran and Jordan into some "middle-east problem" again. This was entirely orchestrated and encouraged by the US and the UK. Israel initiated every attack against Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Iran. Israel KILLED, targeted, the children and grandchildren of Palestinians political leaders. And the US could've stopped all of this by simply not giving Israel money and weapons bu they didn't.

The Western media has constructed this narrative that countries like Iraq and Iran are the problem and the western nations are the antidote keeping their 'terrorism' at bay. No, they have always and at all times started the conflicts, or worsened them.

Because they want the land, they want hegemony over the resources of that region and that is it. And they've demonstrated already by killing over 33,000 people that they'll do anything.

Stop joking about World War 3 and take the loss of lives and the horror of what is happening seriously. This cannot keep escalating
