First time out and about on my own in town without the wife since the anti pride protests last year. I know this town is pretty safe but I'm still on edge being alone.

Would love to use the train. I live in smithers where this mp is from. He used to be our mayor. We have no buses or anything but very expensive plane travel or just driving ourselves to go anywhere. We had to travel hours just for basic dental and that cost us hundreds. Would be lovely to have reliable and hopefully affordable train access.
Taylor Bachrach will be home for Christmas — he hopes. On Sunday, the NDP transportation critic and MP for the riding of Skeena-Bulkley Valley, plans to leave the House of Commons and start a series of train rides that will begin in Toronto and end more than 4,500 kilometres west in his hometown of Smithers, B.C. — about 200 kilometres inland from B.C.'s north coast. That journey could be complicated by the fact that passenger trains in Canada are often delayed when they have to give right of way to cargo traffic travelling on the same tracks. And that's exactly the point: Bachrach's journey is part of a quest to build support for a bill he introduced in Parliament this week.  The Rail Passenger Priority Act calls for the Canada Transportation Act to be amended so that any time a passenger and cargo train want to use the same rail line, the passenger train gets priority.

To everyone out there this holidays season.. you are loved. You are valid. This time of year is very difficult for many but no matter what you are going thru. Just know you aren't alone and this world is better with you in it. You got this.

Gotta love the absolute terror of driving hours away from home at 5pm in pitch dark with no radio or phone service, in a storm that doesn't know if it's snow or freezing rain. Slipping, sliding and hoping we don't do any dying..... we made it home safe I just hate winter driving.

It's now been one's whole decade since I came out as trans. 10 years. Little 17 year old me figuring stuff out without any knowledge or real understanding. Now it's 10 years later. Been on hormones for 8 of those years and went for surgery 3 years ago. Got married last year and somehow ended up with 3 large dogs. Been a wild decade

Ya as a kid and teen , " that's gay" was literally used constantly when something happened that someone didn't like. I still hear people use it quite often to mean something they don't like or find stupid.
