Misery: Hooray!!! I was hoping you'd be up for something!
Misery: Hmm.... Maybe we could get some coffee and go to the park? Or the quarry?
Leona: You know I could never say no to hanging out
Leona: Coffee is always good, so I'm down for that. I haven't been up to the quarry in a while, actually, that sounds fun

âYouâre welcome, Lancasterâ she said blowing her a kiss âthank you so much I was like umm comfort is a must when it comes to this kind of thing you know?â she said shaking her head âOf course I have been ready for nearly an hour but I was like you know just vegging out on the couchâ she said before heading to the car and saying âso how do you know about this party again?â Callie asked as she buckled her seat belt in the passengers side.Â
Leona laughed at her friend and shook her head in amusement, âYouâre not wrong. Comfort is definitely important, and I would have just worn my converse, instead of these heels, but, well, Iâm feeling a little fancy tonight,â she grinned, giving one of her heeled feet a playful wriggle. Once in the car, and the two were settled, she was quick to pull out of the driveway. âOh, through the grape vine and all that. I have a lot of friends who attend the community college, from when I used to go, myself...before I dropped out after fall quarter.â

Misery: I have today off, do you maybe wanna do something?? I hate sitting around on my days off
Leona: Sure, I don't have anything going on today either, so spending a few hours out of the house sounds like a good killer of time. What did you have in mind?

Callie knew that she needed a touch of fun in her life, her days consisted lately of just hanging around the studio, working too long at the restaurant and just doing way too many things. From babysitting her brothers, and sisters, to her car being a total loser and everything else in between. she needed fun, she needed a night out. She needed a party! And who else to deliver the fun that she was in dire need of but her friend Leona, she pulled on her high heeled boots and zipped them up looking at the reflection in the mirror âOkay this is a hot look..â she said before hearing Leona âHey babe, you look like fire honestly, babe.âÂ
She only had to wait a few short moments, before Callie came out and into the living room. The two girls immediately accessing what the other was wearing, and Leona couldnât stop the grin that spread across her face as she gave her friend a nod of approval. âWhy thank you, Miss Cortez. You look smoking hot, yourself. Love the shoes, girl,â she complimented in genuine admiration, as she guided the two of them out of the apartment and towards the car. She was eager to go out tonight, needing it, really. Though it truly hadnât been, it felt like ages since sheâs been to a good party and she knew that tonight would be a blast. It always was when she and Callie teamed up. âYou ready?â she smirked as the two climbed into her brotherâs borrowed car.

I promise I will be on more after this weekend! In the meantime, Iâll be on when I can today through till the weekend.
That being said, I will still be around to plot this evening, if anything is interested! Iâd love to pick up some more new plots as well as maybe continue with some older ones, so please feel free to hmu if you want to do something with any of my girls!

Resting her cheek against her knuckles, Wrenâs gaze moved off to stare blankly at the wall. It seemed that more and more people lately were coming into her store with tales of a shadowy figure in the woods, or glowing red eyes that seemed to follow them wherever they moved, and ultimately scaring them. All they wanted was some form of holistic protection, but Wren wasnât even sure if anything she had could provide that to them. Releasing a short sigh, she looked back over to Leona, noticing the look on her face before she even started speaking. âSo Iâm not the only one that feels it?â She knew perfectly well that she wasnât, but Leona wasnât exactly the type to just jump on her spooky bandwagon. Mitch, maybe, but Leona? âDid you see something?â
Leona leaned back into her seat, tilting her head slightly in wonder as she observed the far away look in her friendâs eyes, curious to know where her head was at; but before she could question it, Wren had turned back to her. The taller of the two nodded slowly, almost hesitant to even admit that she had seen what she had. Jesse, the love of her life, hadnât even believed her...but then, she figured if anyone in town was to believe her, it would be Wren. âNo, youâre definitely no the only one who feels it...I, yeah, I did,â she confessed, a troubled frown forming on her face, her eyes dropping to the table top as she mind flashed back to that night. âIâm not sure what it was that I saw, it was pretty dark out and quite a ways away...but I swear I saw something walking around on the park grounds a few nights back, before it disappeared into the surrounding woods.â She hadnât been close enough to make out any defining features and details, but it had been clear to her to that it was far from human or any type of local wildlife - whatever it was, had moved unnaturally fast.

jesse didnât mean to just brush off what she said she saw but how could he believe her after everything? he knew that the two of them had been through a lot and that leona had no reason to lie to him but at the same time, how was he supposed to believe that she saw something that scary? now, at the same time, he heard the scary rumors about dery and heâd heard of things other people saw but that didnât mean that leona saw something. that didnât mean what leona saw was something that wasnât caused by whatever sheâd taken. he sighed and moved toward her, moving his arms around her in a hug. he was a friend with her before anything else, âiâm sorry.â he apologized. âitâs not that i donât believe you. i just think that maybe you should considering whether or not something you took caused it.â
Despite herself, Leona found herself relaxing into the hug, always comforted by Jesseâs hugs. She could never stay too irritated at him, especially when he gave her one of teddy-bear hugs - his giant form having a tendency to swallow even her, and that was saying something, since she was pretty damn tall herself. She was a major cuddle bug, so it was never hard to subdue her with a good hug, and she didnât think there was anyone in Derry that was better at them then Jesse. She let out a small frustrated sigh, as she rested her head on his shoulder, âYeah...I know. Youâre making me second guess myself, so now I donât even know...I guess it could have been the drugs,â she tried to concede, feeling like actually pouting but she resisted, never one to actually indulge in that kinda childish behavior. Pulling back slightly, she looked up at him with a small, hesitant frown, âBut just in case I wasnât seeing things...would you mind driving me to work in the evenings? At least for a little while?â The thought of walking the streets in the dark made her skin crawl, and she didnât have a car of her own to get her places.

On principal, Wren didnât try to get in her own head very often. It was always full of one thought or another, and most of the time they werenât particularly pretty thoughts. But, if Wren was going to open up to someone about anything going on with her, itâd be Leona. âI donât think I could ever leave permanently. My parents and brother are here, and my store actually gets business because so many people in this town believe in weird shit. I justâŚâ she sighed softly. Reaching up, Wren pushed her thin fingers through her dark hair, getting it away from her face so she couldnât let herself hide. âSometimes Derry feels wrong. Like there are too many bad things that happen around here, and like itâs inescapable. While a big part of me wants to continue living here, thereâs another part that knows that maybe it isnât good for me?â She wrinkled her nose, looking to her best friend quizzically. âDoes that make sense?â
âYeah, I get you. My family means the world to me, so I wouldnât ever be able to leave Derry for good - not when everyone I love is still here.â Leona bit the bottom of her lip as she listened to Wren express her concerns and wariness, and her mind automatically flashed back to a few nights ago when she was walking home from Bartini. Yeah, she might have been a bit tipsy and maybe even a little high at the time, but she was certain what sheâd seen that night in the park had been real. Sheâd told Jesse about her brief sighting but he flat out refused to believe her, claiming that she had imagined or hallucinated the entire thing. At the time, she had conceded, as she got the second-guessing herself, but the more she thought about it, the more she was convinced that whatever it was she had seen had been real. âYeah, it makes perfect sense...and it does. Feel wrong, that is. Iâve been feeling that bad energy for a while now, and itâs only getting worse by the day...It doesnât help that Iâve personally experienced some weird ass shit lately that I canât possibly begin to explain. Itâs gotten so bad that I almost donât want to continue with my late-night walks home from work.â Which was actually a big deal to her because she cherished those walks.

While he wanted to deliver the news that this article was, in fact, far more interesting than something about flowers and the weather, he wasnât about to lie to her. In fact, his current article was about the changing wave patterns in the oceans and local bodies of water, which was ironic due to how far away from any sort of ocean Derry was. That was the stipulation of moving when he was a kid; nowhere near a large body of water. Wrinkling his nose, Loch shook his head, looking back over to Leona. âI want to tell you that itâs about a cool new video game thatâs getting released soon, but my boss tries to keep the news exactly that, and he isnât super open about those pop culture pieces just yet.â He felt himself smile now, reaching a hand to scratch idly at a spot on his forehead. âYour job is way more interesting than mine,â he teased, scowling at his computer. âMaybe I should rethink my career.â
Observant as she was, Leona knew before he even said anything that her assumption about the article was indeed correct. Another lame piece it was, then. She couldnât help but give her head a small shake, thinking along the lines of âWhy was the Derry newspaper always so damn predictable?â It would be nice to actually pick up the newspaper for once and find something actually worth her time to sit down and read; like the shit that was actually going on - the murders, the strange sightings and whatnot - rather than meaningless articles about the flora, or weather or pet adoption announcements around Derry that nobody actually cared about. âWow, what a shocker. You know, Loch...I think your boss needs to find a new niche in life, because running the local papers is clearly not his forte,â she said with a shameless smirk, reaching up to brush some of her hair from her face as she looked over at him. âIt all depends on your definition of interesting. Not that Iâm gonna argue with you, because letâs face it - itâs true and I love my job 'cause itâs never boring. But itâs not everyoneâs cup of tea...If you feel like youâre not that happy at the Inquirer, then maybe you should rethink it.â

Loch gave Leona a playful sideways glance, his long fingers scratching at his jaw. He needed to shave the overgrown stubble that was forming on his chin, but he kept convincing himself that it made him look older. Even if it just made him look like a teenager that was trying to impress someone. âIâm on editing duty today, unfortunately. News in Derry isnât exactly hard-pressed but we all have to take our turns sometimes. Unfortunately, my co-worker was either completely out of it when he sent me this email, or weâre circling back around to me being incapable of reading, because I just had a hell of a time with this.â The boy sighed, his shoulders falling to a relaxed state as he looked over at the girl. âHow are you?â
Leona leaned back casually against the bench, throwing one of her impossibly long legs over the other as she did, her eyes briefly taking in their immediate surroundings. There were a few people meandering close by, but for the most part, she and Loch seemed to be some of just a handful of residents that were taking advantage of the rare sunshine. She was honestly surprised there werenât more people out and about. âEditing, huh? Please tell me that itâs a hard-hitting news article this time, and not some lame ass article, again, about the early spring blooms that were spotted in the park this year? âCause there isnât anything more riveting than reading about the early arrival of the red maple blossoms, let me tell ya.â While her tone was heavy in sarcasm, Leona wore a teasing smile on her face as she reached over and gave him a friendly pat on the shoulder to help, âIâm sure you did what you could with it, bro. Youâre good at what you do,â she said to give him some reassurance. Throwing him a smile, she gave a light shrug, âAh, you know...Iâve been good. Just keeping busy - running the bar at Bartini definitely helps to keep me on my toes.â
