supernatural season 4 is funny because it’s like, “the type of relationship dean craves most in the world is one where his little brother likes the things he likes and does everything he wants him to do and one of the cruxes of his conflict with sam in the season isn’t what he’s doing but just the fact that he’s doing anything on his own and not just being Dean’s Little Brother anymore” (4.14) and, “to some extent dean will view sam trying to be a separate person with an individual life making his own choices and keeping some things to himself with the same level of personal abandonment as his semi-absent deadbeat father that left him alone to fend for himself”  (4.19) and so on

and then the show’s narrative is like, no yeah actually that’s 100% right and dean is justified and sam is wrong and when he jumps into hell for eternal torment it’s redemptive

Season 5 "Sam Interrupted"

Sam- "I'm really angry all the time."

Dean - "Suck it up and bury it. We don't have time for your issues."

Season 7 "Hello Cruel World"

Sam - " I don't know what's real! I'm having a breakdown!"

Dean - "Okay, I'm your real brother because I will kick your ass when I need to. Here's what you're going to do. Every time you see Lucifer, you're going to hurt yourself."

Season 8 "Sacrifice"

Sam - "You think I'm useless and can't do anything. I'm a terrible brother."

i don't think there's anything more obvious in this universe than the love Jensen feels for Misha. i mean, Jensen is naturally a loving and caring guy, and Misha is just too damn lovable, everyone loves him!

is not farfetch'd to think they are good friends.

Jensen is cleary fond of him, he has say that he loves him many times, is not exactly a secret!

men are alowed to love their friends, they are allowed to be soft and vulnerable with other guys that aren't inmediate family or a romantic partner.

is not like Jared seems to think, that the only aceptable way to show afection to other guys is with aggressiveness and as a joke.

no wonder Jensen feels self conscious when he's with Jared.

with Misha he can be soft without having to worry about being judged or ending up as the butt of a joke.

That is so awesome for Walker. After all the show "bloodshed" that happened when NexStar took over I really thought this might be Walker's last season. So this is great news. Happy for Jared.

Considering the recent ratings of the CW's acquired programming, if Walker can meet or exceed last year's ratings, they could be in a really good position to continue! Here's hoping!

Yes, I ♥️♥️♥️ the finale. It's why I am not in any way excited for a revival/reboot or whatever it's called. They'll only screw it all up for Sam.

idk. there's something about sam winchester. as soon as he's born it's like fate itself punishes him for it. cursed to be The One, vessel of lucifer, sacrifices himself so that the apocalypse doesn't happen -- but he's raised soulless, and when he gets his soul back -

suffering clings to him, everything haunts him.

it's like he's not allowed to be at peace, not allowed to breathe. he's born and he's robbed of a normal life because desperate people do desperate things, and all he is is collateral damage. he's robbed of a normal life, because - actually - he wasn't ever supposed to have one. he's so smaller than god and he runs around in his palm, desperately trying to get off it. it's not a comfortable ride.

and at first he gets to avoid it. as a young stanford dropout he gets to squeeze through it. but fate catches up and catches him by the collar, and people die, and people drown around him, and he can't even surface himself.

there used to be a time dean could take it all for him. but once he's back from hell, it's as if everything screamed at him to go back there, to never rise again. dean wants the trials, and man - sam doesn't even get that. the promise lies empty, devoid of any hope on the floor.

all he gets is a hellhound, standing above him, pouring out a bath, a touch of you're it! down on him. it's hateful. it's disgusting. it's horrible.

and i haven't seen more, i'm for now stuck with a sam that's starting yet another quest that begs for suffering, but.

this man sees a light at the end of the tunnel. he has hope. he has faith. fate will have him again and again and again. but they will never own, not even touch his soul.

it's been reclaimed.
