camp dan and phil winter 2020: camper signups

hello all! as highly anticipated, today opens the official cdnp signups for this winter!! we are so so excited to get started and can’t wait for the 30th of december to come around :’)

erm….. what are you on about?  campdnp is a week-long event full of activities meant to bring people in the phandom together and to have fun. it’s appropriate for all ages and everyone who signs up will be able to participate! before the camp starts you will be sorted into a ‘tent’ - more or less a groupchat with the people you’re going to hang around the most during camp. some (but far from all) activities are competitions between the tents too! the camp is 100% online and even if you sign up there is no obligation to do any of the activities, but they make up most of the fun so we strongly recommend it :)

that sounds incredible! so when is this? camp dan and phil winter 2020 will start on the 30th of december and end on the 5th of january. all of our default times are in GMT (british time) but you can easily convert them to your time using an online time zone converter.

is this event christmas-themed? we might have some references to christmas here and there since most of the admins are european or american, but don’t worry, the event is not religious at all and regardless of whether you celebrate christmas or not, you will have a good time.

YouTube is Closing down ALL family friendly channels

If you haven’t already heard about this, the FTC is planning to remove ALL channels deemed “family friendly” by the end of 2019

What this means is that content creators’ videos will be demonetized (no ads will run on videos, thus no income)

In addition to that, the comments will be disabled, leading to NO interaction between the audience and the creator.

Content creators will either be moved to the YouTube Kids app or will not be supported by the main YouTube overall.

This includes:

Game Theory

Most if not all doll-customization channels

Food channels

Education channels

Art channels

Heck, even gaming channels might get hit by this!

There’s already a petition for this, so please please please go sign it if you don’t want YouTube to be even more messed up
