Mission: Grocery Shopping

Pairing : 6 Baby BTS x single mom! Reader x Kim Namjoon

“Namjoooon” you whined over the phone whilst calling for your best friend to help you with your kids.

“Y/n give me an hour and I’ll be there baby okay? Hold tight. Tell the them I’m gonna take em all for ice cream once I get to your place, I just need to finish this report and I’ll get there as soon as I can. Be safe and I love you all”

“I love you too Joon, we’ll see you soon” you replied and groaned once you hung up.

You looked at the room that was once called a living room. It was a huge mess! Your six boys running around and making a ruckus wherever they went. They were currently playing pirates which wasn’t a really calm game. And plus, your boys had the greatest imaginations so it’d hurt to be a killjoy for them, not with those adorable beaming smiles on their faces.

You were 30, flirty, and thriving..Well you were 30, but for the other two? Not a chance. Actually, you were thriving, with your baby boys that is. They were your world and you’re so grateful to have them.

You have 6 boys, yes all boys. Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Taehyung, Jimin, and your youngest at almost two years old -Jungkook.

You first got pregnant with Seokjin at the ripe age of 22 with your boyfriend of 4 years at the time. You both met at your freshman year at college and you two fell in love and immediately hit it off. After graduation, you decided to move in together and one thing led to another and voila! Your first year being flushed into the work field had you pregnant, but you were happy and so was he.

The only issue was that you were pregnant on majority of your 20s stage. So you had to grow up faster. Also, your boyfriend couldn’t keep his pants to himself, and in turn, the rest came along. Even Jimin and Taehyung as fraternal twins. After their birth, your relationship with who-shall-not be named started to go downhill. There’d be constant arguments, every workload was out on you, you held a job of your own, and he was having an affair with your co-worker for years. Let’s say it didn’t end well...You kicked him out and threw all his shit at his face. Fortunately for you, your boys weren’t affected, they were momma’s boys after all since their dad was barely home.

After being relieved of having to be with that douchebag, you were blessed with another miracle of your life. Jungkook. Once you found out, you told your ex. He thought you were saying that you were pregnant just so you’d get back together with him. Ha ha ha, how wrong he was. You sucker punched his face and stomped to your best friend’s house, took Namjoon and the boys for a feast in McDonald’s.

You and Namjoon go way back, from diapers and now... 2nd generation diapers(?). You two were the best of friends even when you were with your ex. Although you didn’t know, Namjoon was a HUGE reason why your ex had insecurities and you couldn’t disagree with that. Namjoon supported you from the very beginning. He was there for every birth when your ex was on a “work shift”. He was a loyal and loving man and you couldn’t ask for anything more.

He helped name the boys and even helped raising them with you. Especially after 2 years of being single, Namjoon stayed nights in your home alongside your boys. They all had a special bond with one another and it filled your heart with so much joy. He even moved in per the boy’s request and he took over the guest bedroom of the house.

“I’m hoooome” Namjoon boomed once he opened the door and took off his coat and shoes.

The boys cheered and all ran for Namjoon, giving him hugs and trying to pitch in on their game. He laughed and gave each and every one of them a kiss on their foreheads. After that the boys went back to their spots. Then, a little baby Jungkook started making his way to Namjoon. Taking little steps, he started walking late which is why he was still a little wobbly on his steps.

“Hey little guy, come here gimme a hug” Joon ushered putting his arms out for Kook to dive in.

Jungkook and Namjoon held the closest bond out of all the boys. Since your ex left before he was born, Namjoon was like his father to him and it was adorable.

Jungkook started giggling and once he reached Joon’s arms, he was showered with kisses and was lifted off the ground. Joon then walks to you, gives you a kiss on the forehead and heads to the mess of a living room.

“Come on boys! I promised your mom ice cream and we need to go get some groceries” the boys nodded and went to their rooms to change.

“How did we manage to finish all the food? Didn’t you just go to the grocery two days ago?” He laughed

“Did you forget Joon? I have 6 growing babies and a huge one right in front of me?”

“Right..”

Jungkook was sat on the floor playing with building blocks babbling to himself. You smiled at the sight and looked at Namjoon. He looked right back at you and you went in for a hug. He hugged you warmly, head resting on top of yours. Hugging Namjoon helped you relieve some of the stress you were experiencing on a daily basis.

“Joon going to the gym is working out, your tits are feeling better every day” you mumbled.

He let go of you letting out a laugh as his face was starting to get flushed. You always spoke about his ‘Namtiddies’ and he’d never get used to it.

“Mama” Jin called “should we go to the grocery first? Then ice cream?”

“Yes baby” you went up to him, zipped up his hoodie and gave him a kiss on the forehead. Your eight year old was getting handsomer and older by the second and you can’t have your first baby grow up just yet.

“Ugh Jinnie look at youuu my babyyy don’t grow uppp” you exclaimed pinching both of his cheeks

“Moooom you’re gonna give me wrinkles” he said as he pried your hands off him. You let out a little sigh as Jin sat on the sofa waiting for his other brothers.

Your second eldest Yoongi was next surprisingly, even with a drowsy look on his face he looked like a porcelain doll. Actually maybe a grumpy cat. You also gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Yoongi don’t frown your gonna get wrinkles” Jin said as Yoongi sat on the sofa slowly falling asleep on his hyung’s shoulder.

Hobi was next, your little ball of sunshine, your middle child. He was wearing a rainbow sweatshirt with a tiger on it. He ran to give you a kiss on the cheek before taking bouncy steps to his other brothers.

After that were your twins Jimin and Taehyung. They insisted that they can change themselves just fine because they were 4. They always wore matching outfits, but today they chose their own style and it was adorable. Your fraternal twins held such a strong bond but they both held different personalities.

“Alright everyone’s good to go?” Joon silently made a headcount and nodded to himself “To the van!”

“To the van!” The boys cheered and made a run for it.

You took Jungkook from the floor and headed to the car putting him in his car seat and buckling him up before heading to the driver’s seat. Namjoon never drives, he doesn’t even have his license no matter how many times you told him that he should. He said that for world peace, he will just stick sitting on the passenger seat. He was a better driver than he thought he was to be honest.

“Alright boys, this is Mission: Grocery Shopping. Each of you will pair up and find the things on the list I will give each of you. Those who finish first will be the one who chooses dinner and will choose their ice cream first. Got it?”

“Yes mom!” They all said in unison, including Namjoon. Their synchronization always surprised you.

Seokjin and Yoongi:

Laundry soap

Laundry detergent + jungkook’s detergent

Dish soap

Johnson’s shampoo and L’Oréal shampoo for mommy

Meat

Namjoon and Hoseok:

Veggies

Milk, eggs, and cheese

Apple juice

Tissue rolls and paper towels

Mommy’s pads with wings ;)

Fruits

You gave each group their lists. You purposely gave the twins one objective since they can take a while choosing snacks. You reached the huge grocery store and prepped each group with a basket while you stuck with a trolley so Kook can sit on it.

“Alright boys, remember the rules, stick to your list and don’t make a mess. Give mommy a kiss before we get started.”

Each boy groaned and went to give you a peck on your cheek. You smiled to yourself and the boys quickly made a run to the aisles.

“Looks like it’s just you and me kook” you smiled at him as he giggled in return pointing at the direction you should go and you started pushing your trolley.

“Aight yoongs we should go get the meat first before the soaps since the meat is the odd one out..sound good?” Jin whispered looking vigilantly as if he was a ninja.

Yoongi just hummed in response and got tired quickly running after his hyung while carrying the basket.

“Come on yoongs we can have them win!” Jin exclaimed.

Jin was right. They had to win, no matter what. Yoongi would lie, cheat and do anything to win. He doesn’t like to lose and he never loses. So he kept up his pace and the two quickly looked through the shelves. Adding lamb skewers and chicken nuggets to the meats they always get such as fish and chicken and etc.

Joon and Hobi calmly walked around the aisles hand and hand. Their positive vibes helped them go through their list quite quickly and plus Hobi being with Joon gave him an advantage since Joon had the height and the knowledge on where to find each item. The biggest debacle they had to face however were the bloody pads.

Namjoon broke a sweat, how was he supposed to know which brand you used? And better, why make him get it when he was with a little boy who had no knowledge of periods? He internally cried but kept his composure.

“Um Joon what’re mommy’s pads?” “What’re those?” “Why do they have wings? Do they fly?”

The curious boy threw questions at Namjoon that he didn’t know how to properly answer.

“Uhh Jin what shampoo does mom use?” Yoongi asked

“She gave us the brand but not the specific type” he sighed “think! Which bottle do you always see in the bathroom?”

“Hyung she has her own bathroom, we don’t usually go there”

“Right..hmm let’s see what we have here”

The two kept walking and even left the shampoo isle thinking it was still an extension. Little did they know...

“I think she uses a purple bottle” yoongi added

“Rigghhht! So this one?”

“Yea let’s just get this and maybe see the toy section and then head to the counter!” Jin exclaimed as the boys left.

“Okay okay Namjoon think..what does y/n use hmm...” Joon mumbled to himself as he examined each pack

“So these are like diapers but for older women?”

“Something like that buddy”

“But why?”

“You’ll know when you get older”

“Okay..”

Namjoon finally found the brand that you always use and got 3 of those. And he quickly held Hobi’s hand and dragged him off to tick off another thing from the list.

“Tae! We should get gummies for Jin hyung! He loves those!” Jimin exclaimed, absolutely amazed by the gummies on the shelves. They were in the candy and chips isle for 20 mins yet they only had 2 bags of chips in their basket.

The two wouldn’t let go of each other. Which was adorable, when one went the other direction, the other was dragged and vice versa.

“Excuse me miss? Can you help us get some snacks please? My brother and I can’t reach” Taehyung said to another shopper giving her puppy eyes and she couldn’t say no.

The two giggled around with the woman as she held out snacks they might like and they just cheered when she put it in their basket. Once she was done they thanked her and gave her a hug and skipped away. Her heart melted at the sight because the boys kept holding hands and never let go.

“Jimin Jimin look at this! A tiger!! Rawrrr” Tae exclaimed as he grabbed a tiger plushie from the shelf and he sat down on the floor and started playing. Jimin took a penguin plushie and the two started playing together, forgetting about the mission.

“Mama” Jungkook gurgled

“Yes baby?”

“Where dada?”

“Dada?”

Jungkook just nodded, waiting for your answer. You figured he was talking about Namjoon and you couldn’t wait to tell him that Kookie just referred to him as Dada.

“Dada is around sweetheart, we’ll see him in a few minutes.” You quickly got your shampoo since you forgot to specify which shampoo you actually used and figured they’d just not get it.

“Hey Tae shouldn’t we go to the counter now?” Jimin said putting back the plushie on the shelf

“Whhhaat but the tiger is gonna be all lonely” he pouted

“Don’t worry they’ve got each other see? The penguin and the tiger are best friends so no matter what they always have each other, like us!” Jimin beamed as he helped Tae get up and the two held the basket together and made their way to the counter.

Jin and Yoongi were the first, next was you and kook, next Joon and hobi and last were the twins.

Tae and Jimin were sad, they didn’t get to be first. “How did we not win?” The two said at the same time

“Because you’re not team Seokjin hahahahaha” yoongi and Jin said at the same time as well.

Joon insisted on paying for the groceries and after that the whole team was now packed in the car.

“So where to winners?” You asked looked at the front mirror to see your boys.

“Pizzzaaa!!” Yoongi screamed with his fist in the air as the others joined in his warcry. And then, you zipped off to the pizza parlor and had some ice cream for dessert.

4 hours later you all were home and the boys were changed in their jammies and were all ready for bed. You and Namjoon tucked each and every one of them, giving them a kiss and another kiss from baby Jungkook as well. After that you fed Jungkook a bottle and the baby went out like a light. You bring him to his nursery and put him in his crib, gave him a kiss goodnight and went to the kitchen where Namjoon was unpacking the groceries.

“Joon you know Kook called you Dada?” You started.

“Wha- really- I- that’s... so amazing” he stuttered, shocked as he couldn’t contain his huge-dimpled smile

You were done unpacking and hugged Namjoon from behind, breathing in his scent which felt like home. You then peered over his shoulder to see him unpacking Team Seokjin’s bags. And both of you see an unfamiliar/ yet sorta familiar purple bottle inside.

“Uhhh y/n” this isn’t your shampoo

“Oh my god what the fuck Joon what the heck” you tried holding back a laugh.

In Namjoon’s grasp was a purple durex bottle. A bottle of LUBE. He was taken aback and just stayed silent.

You however were on the floor laughing to your heart’s content. Namjoon looked to you and broke out into a laugh as well and joined you on the floor. If anyone saw this scene, it would look like two crackheads, in love, and laughing their hearts out.

Although they didn’t know about their feelings for one another right?
