It’s performative and does nothing. People wonder why nobody has critical thinking skills and this is part of it because no one knows how to simousltansly critique and consume media. You sit down for your Irish aural in an empty room. The examiner’s face is curiously blank as they play the tape. The voice you hear speaks in no mortal tongue, but that’s definitely a Donegal accent.

You’re running down a winding path, nameless terrors behind you. The woman you pass shouts a warning, swallowed by the howling wind. Then it all goes dark.

You made an unnecessary journey.

You took a risk on a treacherous road.
