"MC! Hey, MC! Are you listening to me?!"
You snapped out of your thoughts at the loud snap of the voice next to you. You turned your head to find Soley looking angry for a moment until you blinked your eyes and her face softened. Maybe you were just imagining that angry expression?
"H-Hey, Soley," you greeted her with an apologetic smile and tilted your head in wonder, "I'm sorry, I was lost in my thoughts for a moment there, wasn't I? Can I help you with anything?" You asked, wanting— hoping for a chance to hang out with her again. Just as you've missed the brothers, you've missed her as well. But you found out luck wasn't on your side the moment she opened her mouth and stated her reason for finding you.
"No, I was just looking for Solomon since he was in the same period as you, but I only found you here. Alone. For some reason."
You looked around and noticed that the classroom was indeed empty of students. It was only the two of you in there. You shook your head and laughed sheepishly as you started to pack your things up with a slight more hurry.
"Solomon was indeed in class with me earlier, but it seems that he already left. Something urgent must have come up since... well, he usually waits for me."
Soley narrowed her eyes and sighed quietly, but enough for you to hear. She crossed her arms and turned around to face the doorway.
"Are you really that important to everyone?"
"Huh? Did you say something?"
"What? No, I didn't. Well, I'll be going to find Solomon then. See you at home."
Before you could respond, she was already out of your sight. Looking at the clock, you saw that it was already twenty minutes after class ended. You must've been zoning out pretty deeply that you didn't hear the school bell ring, and apparently, your D.D.D. as well, which had a missed call from Solomon.
After packing up every single one of your things, you took your phone and pressed on Solomon's profile. You called him back, but your call was denied before you could even hear it ring for the first time. Instead, you received a message from the sorcerer himself.
✄ — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
S O L O M O N
Hey, MC.
I can't answer the phone right now, but you can teleport to me if you want to.
Y O U
Sure, but why can't you answer?
Did something happen?
S O L O M O N
You can say that...
It's not dangerous or anything, though. Otherwise, I wouldn't let you come to me, but it's just mildly annoying.
I'll explain later when you get here.
Just teleport directly into my room.
Not in front of Purgatory Hall, not in front of my door. Just directly in my room.
Y O U
Got it...
I'll be right there.
✄ — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
You did as you were told, teleporting into Solomon's room. There, you found him at his desk, books on the table in front of him, an exasperated expression on his face, and a series of loud knocking on his bedroom door. The moment he saw you, he smiled and immediately placed his point finger on his lips. Be quiet.
You turned your attention to the door where the knocking didn't stop. Then you heard Simeon's and Luke's voices coming from the hall. They sounded tired from talking and convincing the knocker to stop.
"Soley, I don't think Solomon's home right now," you heard Simeon say. "Maybe you can come back later? I'll send you a message when he's back."
"No, I'm sure he's home." Soley insisted, not moving away from the door and continued pounding on it, calling Solomon's name after every set of knocks. "Solomon, come out of there! I need to speak with you!"
"... How are you so sure he's in there?" Luke wondered. He then flinched when Soley laid her eyes on him.
"I asked around, and people said that he went home. The neighbours also said that he entered the house not too long ago."
"Uhm... okay..? But he might not be in his room."
"Nonsense, Luke. I already tried opening his door when I got here, but it's locked."
"Yes, well, Solomon sometimes locks his door whenever he needs to keep people away from his experiments, so it's not at all weird." Simeon continued to argue. Luke held his hand for support, slightly trembling under Soley's gaze.
"Y-Yeah, and maybe he teleported away somewhere. I heard him mention in class earlier about taking MC out for the day."
"Well, MC was all alone in the classroom before I left RAD. Solomon wasn't anywhere near, and MC said that they don't know where he is."
You turned to the man at his desk who was painfully trying to keep a smile on his face. You quietly made your way towards him, making sure your footsteps were as silent as that of a mouse's, and offered your hand, which he took and pressed against his cheek. He still kept quiet as he closed his eyes and held your hand close. Then, you knew what he meant by annoying. Soley had no intention of leaving, even when Simeon and Luke kept telling her that the sorcerer might not be home. You didn't think she would be like this. Especially not in front of the angels.
"Is there something in particular which you need from Solomon?" Another voice interrupted the girl. You heard another set of footsteps slowly growing closer and closer, along with a slightly familiar voice.
"It's none of your business, now is it, Cassiel? I have private matters to discuss with him. He's the only one who can help me."
"Well, I apologise, Lady Soley, but Solomon left a few moments before you arrived," Cassiel informed her, which momentarily stopped her knocking. After a bit more convincing, and a message from Lucifer telling her to come home, Soley finally decided to admit defeat and leave.
"Fine, I'll be retreating to the House of Lamentation. But send me a message the second Solomon gets back home. Got it? The second."
Without waiting for a reply, the girl stomped her way out of Purgatory Hall and back into the streets of the Devildom. Cassiel told the other two angels that he'll be heading out to buy groceries and make sure Soley gets home safely.
Once it was all clear, another set of knocks were laid on Solomon's door. This time, it was Simeon's.
"She's gone now, Solomon."
"W-Wait, Solomon's really in there?!" It was to be expected that Luke didn't know anything about the matter. The sorcerer laughed, a hint of relief in his voice, before he let go of your hand and walked towards the door to open it.
"Thanks for your help, Simeon," he sighed in relief and placed a hand on Luke's head, "You too, Luke."
Luke's face flushed, not because of the head pat he was getting but because he was embarrassed of not knowing he was home and lying to Soley like that. He turned to Simeon with a red face, fists clenched. "S-Simeon! How could you lie like that?! So naturally, too! Did Cassiel lie, too?! Angels aren't supposed to do that!"
"I know, Luke, but Solomon asked us to help him out, and we did. Isn't it also our job to help those in need?"
"I.. I guess.... Yeah!" Luke smiled brightly before turning back to meet the sorcerer's gaze. "But Solomon, what about your outing with MC? Did they have other plans?"
The human grinned at him before he turned his head to look at you, his gaze ushering you forward, and out of your hiding place, you went. The two angels were surprised, but you could tell they were delighted to see you again after a while. For the last few months, you did try your best to reconnect with the brothers, so you were slowly drifting away from the three of them.
"MC!" Luke exclaimed, immediately rushing forward and wrapping his arms around you. He unconsciously nuzzled his cheek against you, which he didn't notice himself. "I didn't know you were coming today!"
Hugging him back in response, you giggled and shook your head. "I didn't know I was coming here either. I'm sorry for the intrusion."
Simeon chuckled and shook his head in disagreement. "You're always welcome here, MC. We're happy to have you no matter the occasion."
"Thanks, Simeon! I'm really happy to be here with you all... and I'm really happy to know that... that you're happy to be with me..." With every word, your head drooped down as the smile on your face slowly faded along. The three exchanged worried glances; the two older men knew what was going on while the little one looked slightly confused, but he knew enough to know that you needed a break.
With that, Luke suggested you stay over with them at Purgatory Hall, where they promised to make sure to put a smile back on your lovely face. You were grateful but also worried how the brothers would react. But should you really worry?
You gave them time and time went on, making everything worse for you. They decided they didn't need you anymore and stopped hanging out with you altogether. Whenever you tried to reach out, all you ever heard from them were excuses. They didn't run out of them. Maybe it was time for you to leave? And I don't mean leave just the House of Lamentation.
Leave the Devildom.
"MC, there you are. I've been looking all over for you."
The moment you stepped into the house, Lucifer came to greet you. It wasn't like he was actually waiting for you to get home. He was just passing by the entrance hall when you arrived. "Where have you been? Soley said she didn't find you anywhere at RAD after classes. You were supposed to walk her home today, weren't you?"
Soley didn't find you anywhere after classes? But she just—
Ah, so that's what it was.
Soley lied about not seeing you. But why?
And Lucifer.
He wasn't worried about you at all. He was worried about Soley walking home by herself. It made sense since she was just a normal human without pacts with any demon, but he could have still worried about you a little bit, right?
... Right?
You wanted to explain everything to him. How Soley lied, and you were together before she stomped off. But was it really worth it? Would he even listen and believe a word you're saying?
You wanted to believe he would. You wanted to believe that the Lucifer you knew would never doubt your words. But arguing with him now when he's in a bad mood wouldn't do you any good. So you just left it at that.
You apologised to the eldest while hanging your head low. You felt like all you ever did since Soley arrived was apologise for every single thing you did, even when you did absolutely nothing wrong. But why did it feel like that? Why did it feel like you were the one in the wrong all this time?
Lucifer sighed and crossed his arms. You knew that sigh. He was disappointed. You dared not meet his gaze and just kept staring at the floor, waiting for him to finish his business with you.
"Make sure you're prepared for the ball tomorrow evening. I want everything to go without problems."
"... yes, I understand."
"Good. Now go back to—"
"Wait, Lucifer, I have a favour." You managed to get enough courage to look him straight in the eye. For a moment, he looked surprised.
"What is it?"
"I... C-Can I stay over at Purgatory Hall tonight?"
"MC—"
"Please, Lucifer..! Just this once...?"
You held your breath, staring back the flooring, occasionally taking glances for a reaction. With every ticking silence, the atmosphere grew heavier. It was almost hard to breathe. Until you heard another sigh come from him.
"Fine. I'll bring you—"
"Thank you, Lucifer! I'll pack up my things and head out as soon as I can!"
You cut him off, not giving him the chance to change his mind as you dashed up the stairs and back to your room. You also didn't want to hear anything more from him. You took your outfit for the ball out of the box where you carefully hid it in case something went wrong. This outfit was something much different and more beautiful than what Asmodeus and Soley gave you. And this was much more special since it was Barbatos himself who made it especially for you.
✄ — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
To my dearest, MC,
May this give you the best memories and the warmest of smiles. I look forward to seeing you at the end of everything, once again outshining the brightest star in existence.
Yours truly,
Barbatos
✄ — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
You held the handwritten card to your chest, a smile appearing on your face as you completely ignored the ruined outfit sitting in your closet. That's all you had to do, MC. Just for a little while. Just smile and ignore.

"I knew it...I KNEW...I KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO DO THIS TO YOU!" Luke cried out like he was in deep agony.
Solomon had to put a silencing spell on his room because Luke was wailing too loud. He leaned against the door, sighing.
"Luke..." You sat there on Solomon's bed wringing your hands together. All your powers and all your strength and you couldn't calm down this baby angel.
"Michael told me you were supposed to be part of the Celestial Realm! You're supposed to be a Seraphim - you're supposed to replace Lucifer!" Luke banged his fists in your lap. You only cushioned them with your open palms.
But this was news to you. You glanced at Solomon for confirmation. He shrugged his shoulders - even he didn't know.
"Do they even know what they've done to you?! How are they okay with this?! Why haven't they told us anything?!" Luke continued.
"They don't know. Well, noone except Barbatos. And I'm not planning to tell them yet." You explained. "Not until the day of the play."
Luke stared at you confused. After all it made no sense from his point of view.
"I know it doesn't make sense right now. And I'm not sure I ever want it to make sense to you..." You cupped his face. "A pure heart like yours shouldn't know these things."
"You're not all gone, right? Some of you is still in there. I know it is."
You hugged him tight, allowing yourself to cry. The one true friend you ever had since the beginning of this mess. You grimaced in pain, imagining what he'd do if he actually saw you die that night.
You were grateful he would never actually have to see it. He would never know of the things that turned you into this.
🥀
But someone else knew. Someone who's heart had been corrupted enough to know exactly what was going to happen in the play and why you were so adamant on it being improv.
Barbatos was pacing around his room again. These incidents and the growing tension between the brothers was making Diavolo worry. In all his loyalty, the Butler ought to come clean about all he knew.
But your threats were not to be taken lightly. Especially with Solomon on your side. Helpless he sank to his bed, trying to forget.
In moments like these, you were usually by his side, weren't you? He smiled bitterly knowing the old you would have held his hand and talked him down from all his worries. And then you'd wake up earlier than him and start working in the kitchen - all to make things easier for him.
"Try to sleep. Otherwise you'll be exhausted tomorrow."
He jerked up from his bed. He looked towards his window to see you, sitting there. One leg propped up, the other leg dangling.
"MC? You're here at this hour?"
"Luke found out about me. It was hard to come clean to him."
"Oh that's dreadful."
"Don't worry I told him you had no part in it. He loves you, I didn't want him to stop on my accord."
"....."
"The play is in two days. Just bear it for two more days, okay? I know it's hard keeping things from Diavolo." You sighed.
Barbatos chuckled for the first time in ages. "My punishment seems to be far lighter than the brothers."
"You deliberately lead me to death. But then you saved me too. I don't know how I feel about you. You just replaced me with another me when it was convenient." You stared at him, trying to make up your mind.
"I shall not repeat those actions again. You can take my word for it." He bowed in apology.
"Oh I'm not worried about that." You smiled. "I made sure to kill every version of me that crossed paths with you lot. I'm the only one left."
Barbatos fell back down on his bed, staring at you in horror.
"Oh don't look so scared, the deaths were painless." You got ready to leave, your wings big and beautiful behind you. "Goodnight, Barbatos. Sleep well."
🥀
Lucifer stirred awake. He had fallen asleep in his study again. What is that noise? The dull sound of someone flapping their wings. He groaned as he got up. Damnit, Mammon. Could you not give him a break in these times?
He brought out his wings, flying upwards scaling the building till the sound was louder.
"Seriously what do you think you're doing at this hour, Ma-"
It wasn't Mammon. It was you, trying to open the window wider from the outside. You with your very own wings.
"M-MC?"
You groaned in frustration. First Luke, now Lucifer. You simply couldn't catch a break today. You should have just teleported, but no you just had to feel the breeze a little.
"Out for a midnight flight in the clouds too, Lucifer?"
He was sleep-deprived and drowsy. You simply had to turn this into a dream. Who knows? It might even be fun.
"Since when... do you have wings?" He flew closer to you.
You merely smiled, taking his arm. "I have horns too. I'm an Avatar just like you. The Avatar of Chaos. Come, let's fly together a little."
Lucifer visibly relaxed under your touch. Yes this was definitely one of his bizarre drunken dreams. Afterall he did sneak a few sips of Demonus while working.
"Chaos, you say? That means your virtue was Harmony. No wonder you could fix our messy, undisciplined lot."
"Indeed I could. But you can't possibly expect me to do that anymore." You chuckled. "I'm a demon now, Lucifer. And I'm far worse than anyone you've known ever since you've been down here."
He didn't seem to take you seriously. "MC you couldn't be unkind even if you tried. You're too pure for that. You have Lilith's blood in you afterall."
Seriously Lucifer, will you never learn?
You smiled through gritted teeth. You had half a mind to cut through his wings with your claws, let him fall and bleed out over the ground.
"Let's turn back around now, MC. There's classes tomorrow."
"Sure sure. Just one last thing to show you." You held his face and made him look down at something. Before he could figure out what it is - he felt a sudden thrust on his back.
He couldn't adjust his flight as the air seemed to push him downwards with alarming force. He crashed headfirst.
The ground was soft, he wasn't hurt much except aching elbows and knees. He looked around dishevelled. What is this place? A graveyard?
Each tombstone the exact same in shape. He rubbed the dirt out of his eyes to read the inscription.
In the loving memory of MC.
What?! Surely he was misreading it. It was dark and he didn't even have his glasses. He looked at another one to check. It said the same thing.
Every one he checked said the same damn thing. It was a graveyard full of your graves. Hundreds, thousands maybe more. All you.
"MC?!" He looked for you in the sky. Weren't you right with him? Where did you go? "MC!"
"I'm right here, Lucifer."
You were circling him like a hawk before you finally settled down on one of your own graves. "You didn't get any flowers for me? How mean..." You joked.
Lucifer head grew heavy, spinning on itself. "No you... you're here.... you're alive."
"Am I really?" You mock wondered, with a hand on your cheek. "Are you sure I'm not lying still on the floor, suffocating under your brother's grip and your watchful eyes...?"
Your wings glowed in the dark, beating loudly. He fell to the ground, covering his ears overwhelmed with the sound. "MC..."
Lucifer stirred in his sleep. He had fallen asleep in his study again. What was that noise? Someone's knocking on his door. "Come in." He says, holding his aching head.
"I knew you were still awake." You enter the room with a glass of warm milk. "Drink up and try to sleep won't you?"

(MC is Fem here)
Thirteen: What did you say Diavolo's goal was again? To bring us all here?
MC: To unite all three realms in harmony - Heaven, Hell and Earth.
Thirteen: Hmm sounds pretty impossible at first hearing...
MC: But it's going great. Look at everyone getting along. *gestures to everyone sitting and talking amongst themselves around the table*
Thirteen: Still seems like a lot of effort and hassle. Honestly I can think of a much easier way this could be achieved.
Diavolo: *overhearing them* Oh? We'd love to hear your suggestion to meet my goals easier, Thirteen.
Everyone: *gets quiet and stares curiously*
MC: *has a bad feeling*
MC: *nudges and whispers* Just don't say anything outlandish again please...
Thirteen: *points at MC* This human, has angel blood in her, doesn't she?
MC: It's barely there, much diluted over the years-
Thirteen: Oh please, it's enough for you to be able to do magic along side that old sorcerer, who's been doing it for years.
Solomon: Indeed MC, the blood is not as weak as you think.
Thirteen: Anyway, what you could do Diavolo, is make MC your official queen and ask her to birth your heir.
MC: *violently choking on food*
Everyone except Diavolo: *fallen off their chairs* *jaw unhinged, threatening to fall off*
Thirteen: No seriously think about it. That heir will have angel, human and demon blood. The ultimate bridge between three realms!
Diavolo: .....
Diavolo: WHAT A WONDERFUL IDEA! May I ask you to join me in other room for a discussion, MC? *Offers his hand*
MC: *sweats nervously*
Thirteen: Hey why are y'all angry staring at me!

You awaken from your slumber with a knock on your door. Lazily, your eyes flutter open. Your room didn't exactly have a window, so the only light came from the crack underneath the door and from a lamp you found in the room. You looked around the room, still caught up in your dream. Then it hit you. You were still in Devildom. You moan in annoyance. The shock from yesterday passed and you found yourself feeling utterly annoyed by this whole situation. It knocked again. Huh?, You thought to yourself. “Who could that be?” Hesitantly, you opened the door to an annoyed Lucifer.
“I see you finally decided to wake up, next time I accept you to wake up immediately,” Lucifer scoffed. “Damn, what's up your ass this morning?”, you snapped back at him. His face in response darkened as he began to grow more agitated. “Wait… next time? There isn't a next time, I'm leaving today,” you spoke. Lucifer pinched his nose and sighed, “Unfortunately there is. Diavolo thought it best if you were to stay as another exchange Student. Since you were there when I explained MC's tasks, you don't need me to explain that to you again. Everything I said to MC goes for you too.” And with that he handed you a D.D.D. “Just because you weren't planned for this program doesn't mean I expect less from you. You will not fail Diavolo under any circumstances and am I understood?,” He looked at you menacingly but that wasn't of your concern. They just made that decision for you without your consent and you would not let that sit on you. “Excuse me!? I am definitely not staying. I didn't agree to any of this!! You are keeping me here without my will!,” you exclaimed in protest but unfortunately for you, it fell on deaf ears. “Shut it, it's not up to you, it has already been decided and you will oblige,” with that he handed you a uniform and left. You tried to call out for him to protest one last time but he was already gone.
You sighed in defeat. The only option for you was to comply, so u went back inside your room and got ready. You stepped out of your room but stopped as soon as you closed your door. What are you supposed to do now? Where are you supposed to go now? Mammon didn't show you around because you two thought you are going to leave anyway but now what are you supposed to do, you anxiously thought. You opened your D.D.D and searched up Mammon's number. If someone could help you, it would probably be him. His phone was ringing and then someone picked up. “Who's this?,” Mammon questioned. “Hey it's me Y//N. I'm supposed to stay here now as an exchange Student but I'm pretty lost. Where can I have breakfast and what am I supposed to do now?,” you asked. You could hear Mammon whining as he seemed to type something. “Here, I sent ya a layout of the house of Lamentation. Ya better be grateful, and ya own me now.” He said before hanging up. You stood there dumbfounded, he didn't even make an effort to help you but you guessed having a layout is more helpful than a sloppy explanation.
You opened the chat message and began to observe it. After a few more minutes, you went off to find the dining hall, you were starving.
You heard talking, so you followed the noise to the dining room. When you arrived everything went silent, they all turned to look at you, confusing and awkwardness flooded the air. “Lucifer, I thought they would go home, why are they still here?,” Asmo questioned. Lucifer didn't even look up at you, focusing on his meal. “Diavolo made them an exchange Student as well, so there will be no harm coming to them, am I understood?” Everyone nodded, some disappointed and some neutral. You sat down next to MC, who gave you a weak smile. It didn't help you feel less tense but you appreciated it nonetheless.
You were the last one to leave the dining table, not because you were eating but because you didn't know what else to do, so you just waited after finishing your meal. Mammon took MC with him, so after Lucifer gave you your Timetable for RAD you hurried outside to catch up to them. You didn't interact with them tho, instead you followed close behind them to RAD, after all you would have been the third wheel. You looked at your timetable, your first subject was potion brewing. Furthermore, you tried to find the class but got lost on your way. You walked the hallways as you heard two students gossiping nearby.
Demon A: “Hey, check it out. That's the human that everyone's been talking about. You think it's true what they say, that they weren't planned for this exchange program?
Demon B: “Well, if so, then I'd say that actually works out great, doncha think? If we strike now, they'll never figure out it was us. C'mon, we should devour the human before Beel does.”
'If it ever looks like a demon is about to attack you…run away. Either that, or die.' The words echoed through your mind. You knew you were in danger, so you picked up the pace.
“Hey, you there.” Someone called out to you. You prayed for your final moments as you turned around. “That's right, I'm talking to you, the human with that frightened, tormented look on your face that demons love so much.” A white haired man said to you. “You're practically screaming. “Come and eat me! I'm scrumptious!” Your name's Y//N, isn't it?” He continued. “This D.D.D. here belongs to you, right? Saw you drop it just now. Here, take it. “ The stranger handed you your D.D.D. You can tell he's a student as well. You looked suspicious at him, isn't he going to eat you? “Haha. What's with that look? There's no need to be suspicious of me. My name's Solomon. I'm an exchange student from the human world, just like you. Nice to meet you, Y//N,” he said amused. “How do you know my name?,” you replied. “You're probably not aware of this, but you're a bit of a celebrity here at RAD right now. Just being an exchange student from the human world makes you special enough. But on top of that, you've been teleported here by accident as well,” Solomon explained. You could've figured as much. Being a human isn't really the most common thing here in Devildom and on top of that you being an accident and being unprotected makes you an easy prey. “… Uh-oh. I'd better get going. See you around, Y//N. Take care of yourself,” he interrupted your thoughts and left.
Great, you thought to yourself. You are alone again. With no other options, you continued to walk down the hallways. That was until you saw MC talk to Lucifer. Out of curiosity, you approached them, hoping Lucifer could at least tell you where your class is. But for some reason they stopped talking after you approached. “Um… do you perhaps know where the potion brewing class is?,” you asked, feeling very uncomfortable. “Down the hall on the right,” Lucifer said bluntly. You walked into the classroom, ignoring some stares that were coming your way and sat down. Keeping your head low, u waited till the professor came, accidentally overhearing a conversation between Solomon, Asmo and Satan. Wait… Solomon? If you knew you had the same class together you would have asked to go with him. Apparently they were playing a card game.
Solomon: "Read 'em and weep. It's a straight flush."
Asmodeus: "Ugh, I don't BELIEVE it! All I needed was the ace of spades!" Satan: "So, Solomon wins again, huh? How many times in a row is that?" Solomon: "This makes 183 wins for me now."
Asmodeus: "Are you using some sort of magic? Like a spell that alters the appearance of the cards in your hand?
Solomon: "Now, now, I'm not like you demons. I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't accuse me of behaving like one. I am but a simple human, an innocent lamb."
Satan: "I'm surprised you can say that with a straight face, considering you're the most powerful sorcerer in the history of mankind."
Solomon: "Wow, is that really what you think, Satan? I have to say, I'm honored."
Solomon: "Still, if Mammon was here, he might have broken up my record-breaking winning streak."
Satan: "True. As soon as money is involved, it's as if a switch flips inside of him. He'll make sure it ends up his, almost like some sort of superpower."
Asmodeus: "Mm, you're right. Strange, considering he's usually such a dolt."
Solomon: "All of you are always putting down Mammon, aren't you? Shouldn't you be a bit more respectful? After all, he is your older brother." Satan: "Oh, speaking of Mammon, that reminds me: I heard something interesting from Lucifer."
Solomon: "So, you're going to pretend you didn't hear what I said?"
Satan: "He said that MC is trying to make a pact with Mammon, apparently."
Wait what?, you thought to yourself. Mc making pacts? You were quite surprised to hear that. You never understood why people gave their souls away, you could never be owned by anyone. Then again you didn't know a thing about pacts or demons I general. Looks like all the movies and books you've been consuming weren't of any help.
Asmodeus: "What? MC? Make a pact with Mammon?"
Solomon: "Huh. Interesting..."
Asmodeus: "Are you for real?! That's hilarious! What else do you know? Time to dish up some details, Satan."
Satan: "According to Lucifer, MC has teamed up with Levi. They're planning on making a deal with Mammon to get what they want. It seems they're looking for that credit card of his-the one Lucifer confiscated." Solomon: "I see. So, they plan to pressure him to enter into a pact in exchange for the credit card, then."
Asmodeus: "Wait, back up a second. Before we even get to that, there's a lot to unpack here! What's all this about Levi teaming up with MC?! I mean, we're talking about Levi, the super otaku who never comes out of his room! Is he really capable of working together with a real live person?!"
Asmodeus: "Also, how exactly does Lucifer know all this?"
Satan: "Apparently MC spoke to Lucifer directly, trying to figure out where the credit card is."
Asmodeus: "WHAT?!"
Solomon: "Ahahahaha!" So this what Mc and Lucifer were talking about earlier.
Asmodeus: "What's so funny about that?"
Solomon: "Well, it's quite the turn of events, now isn't it? I can't help but think that MC really shows a lot of promise."
Satan: "Well, Lucifer must've felt the same way, because he said that he gave MC a hint about the card's whereabouts."
Asmodeus: "Wait, he actually did that? Wow, he must really have taken a liking to MC. Do you think Mammon will agree to a pact if it means he gets his credit card back?"
Solomon: "Knowing him, probably, yes."
Satan: "Yep. Though he'll likely throw quite the tantrum over it first" Asmodeus: "Why is it that all of you act like entering into a pact is this huge thing?"
Asmodeus: "I mean, making a pact with a human isn't actually such a big deal."
Asmodeus: "Take Solomon and me, for example. We're in a pact together already, right?...Oh yeah, and he's got one with Barbatos, too."
Solomon: "Yes. I've been very fortunate."
Satan: "I'd say you and Barbatos are part of a small minority in that regard. Generally demons are very proud folk, after all."
Solomon: "Regardless, I can't afford to be complacent, can I? Otherwise, MC might beat me to the punch and forge a pact with Lucifer before I can."
Satan: "You say that, but you don't seem the least bit concerned to me." Asmodeus: "I wouldn't read too much into that. It's just the way Solomon is."
Solomon: "I'm not in any particular rush, no. But am very interested to see where this is going. I'm shocked enough that Lucifer is showing interest in someone besides Diavolo, much less a human."
Satan: "Guess he's added a new favorite person to his list to go along with Mammon."
Asmodeus: "Ah, speaking of how much Lucifer loves Mammon, I seem to remember something sort of like this happening once before."
Seems like MC is quite liked here compared to you. Not like you cared, it's not like you had someone to really care about you before. But still, you couldn't help yourself but wonder if anyone ever has shown so much interest in you before. Probably not, you thought. Is this jealousy or just a realisation on how shitty your life is? The lesson began so everyone went quiet. It was hard to understand the lesson when you have zero idea of the subject that's being taught.
The day ends and you rest in your room after dinner. MC seems to have atleast found a few friends but you couldn't say the same thing about you. Maybe you should try to speak to someone? After all you're going to save here for a whole year so might as well make some free right? But does it really matter!p? You didn't have friends in the human world so why have some in the Devildom, especially with Demons that would like to have you for dinner. You looked up at the ceiling. Lucifer said your room will be ready in a few days so for now you have to make the best out of the dusty couch you have. You couldn't seem to fall asleep. 'There are seven of us brothers in all, and I am the eldest.'
It has only been a day and it seems that some the 7 brothers have already taken an interest in Mc. Wait.. 7 brothers?
Lucifer is the firstborn, Mammon is the second brother, Levi the third, Satan the fourth, Asmo the fifth and Beelzebub the sixth. Where is the seventh brother?, You wondered. You've never seen him but couldn't really care about that. Your thoughts were interrupted by footsteps passing by your room…

MC: Dia? Are you excited to go back to normal? *raising him up high*
Baby Diavolo: *giggles* *but doesn't really understand what they mean*
MC: *chuckles* *brings him closer, rubbing their noses together*
Baby Diavolo: *giggles* Ba-Bah!
Lucifer: I'm sure MC will miss this moment.
Barbatos: *counting the months on his calendar*
Lucifer: What are you doing?
Barbatos: Making predictions.
Lucifer: Of what?
Barbatos: If ever I do that, when will MC get pregnant, and when will our child be born.
Lucifer: ...
---------------------------------------------
MC: *choosing clothes for Diavolo if ever he changes back in unexpected times*
Baby Diavolo: Ba-Bah? *sitting on the bed*
MC: I'm just preparing you a towel. We don't want our baby to get cold, do we?
Baby Diavolo: *smiles brightly when MC covers him with a huge towel*
MC: *kisses his forehead before going out of the room*
*a few minutes later*
Diavolo: *turning back to normal* *still feeling fuzzy*
Diavolo: *hearing Lucifer and Barbatos talking with MC outside his room*
Lucifer: Since you're here, does that mean—
MC: Yes. But we need to wait for him to get changed first.
Barbatos: I'll go inside. Thank you for your help, MC.
Barbatos: *enters the room* Young master? How are you feeling—
Diavolo: I'm banning MC from dating anyone. *frowning at him*
Barbatos: ...
Barbatos: Please tell me you're joking.

<- Chap 7
Tumblr media
"What do you have to say for yourself?" Lucifer prodded. "You've been acting strange for a week now. You fell asleep in the mirror maze causing a scene, you don't even show up to classes and now THIS?"
Belphie said nothing. He stared ahead at the big painting behind Lucifer. It was all the brothers and you standing in the middle.
Beel stood by, ready to protect his twin if Lucifer lost his temper and tried to hurt him. Even he had noted Belphie's difference but no matter how many times he asked about it, Belphie went quiet and simply dozed off to sleep again.
"I NEED AN ANSWER BELPHIE! This sort of behavior cannot be tolerated any longer!"
Lucifer banged the table with his fist. There was an audible creaking of wood splinters.
Belphie couldn't answer. On the painting before him now, he saw a shadowy hand move. It moved around until it found you.
It stopped right under your face, the dark fingers twitching before wrapping themselves around your throat. You remained unmoving in the picture but he heard someone cough.
He looked around. Neither Lucifer nor Beel did it. Then who? The sound never stopped. It kept growing louder...until he recognised it was you. Your face in the picture was turning blue.
"Lucifer! Out of the way now!"
Belphie leapt up and snatched the picture of the walls. He growled, "Get lost! Get away, you little- URGHHHH!"
His fingers tried to scratch the shadowy hands off your neck, but it kept moving around now and by the time Belphie was done, he realised he had scratched out your entire face.
Lucifer and Beel were to stunned to react. All they saw was Belphie violently scratching out your face from their family picture. It left a dreadful impression on them.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Things got worse as Mammon and Satan appeared in the doorway, along with you in the middle.
"Hey guys, Simeon just said that the set is ready so we can go and-" You stopped in your tracks. You saw what lay on the floor.
And it seemed like bad news no matter how you looked at it.
You took steps backward, hiding behind both Mammon and Satan. "If you want me gone, you can just say so..." You said.
"No MC, this isn't what it looks like-" Belphie had the gall to get up and reach for your hand.
"Hands off. Don't dare touch, MC." Mammon was the first to slap it away. When was the last time anyone had seen Mammon this angry?
Satan simply glared at him before ushering you out of the room. The first priority was to keep you safe and away from him.
"MC are you okay? You're trembling."
"Thank you, Satan. I'll be okay. I'm okay." You were more than okay. You were trembling with sheer excitement of seeing on his knees, eyes pleading.
The hurt and lost eyes who don't know where to look anymore as his brothers antagonize him for nothing, one by one. The same eyes you had when you died.
"Let's get outta here. They'll come if they want." Mammon said, bolting out the door next. They accompanied you diligently to R.A.D.
"Go back to the attic. And don't step out until I ask you to." Lucifer's eyes could barely hold back all the rage he felt.
"Beel you are welcome to join him. But if you dare letting him out... you'll be making the wrong choice again."
Belphie looked horrified. "I was trying to protect them! I heard them coughing and I saw something on this picture right here near Lilith's neck-"
"MC." Beel finally spoke up. "MC, not Lilith. Stop that already. MC gets sad when you call them Lilith."
"Sorry... sorry yeah... I meant MC-"
"I've been by your side no matter what, Belphie. But I cannot let you hurt MC, anymore. Please stop it already." Beel let out a tired sigh, leaving out the door. Lucifer left too, slamming the door behind him.
Belphie stood there bewildered. An emptiness and dread filled inside of him. For the the first time since you came here, he felt truly alone.
He should have told them. He should have told them everything.
How your reflection turned into Lilith's and stared at him with crazed eyes. How he's been seeing glimpses of Lilith's face on yours everywhere. How in Levi's room, all those little figurines started moving and whispering horrible things to him.
"You lost her. And then killed whatever was left of her. She loved you, but you only hurt her. You hurt both of them. So they're going away."
He heard it in his head, every other waking moment. And it was driving him crazy. But how was he supposed to explain this to anyone, anyone at all?
You, maybe you would. But you were scared of him now. Compliant but scared and distant. But who else could he blame for it except himself?
.
.
"I heard what happened at the house today." Solomon said, once you both were in a secluded corner.
"Atleast we know that our illusion skills are improving." You said nonchalantly. "Wanna see something funny? Look there."
"Over there? Where Lucifer seems to be wagging his finger at Mammon?" Solomon followed your gaze.
"Yes watch this." A couple of RAD students were hauling spare wood planks. The carpet Lucifer stood on suddenly snagged on it, and Lucifer fell on his ass. Mammon and Diavolo laughed as they helped him up.
"Wow. He could usually avoid pranks that, he's terribly shaken on the inside. Bravo, MC." Solomon clapped a little before looking concerned. "Wait... MC your horns are showing."
You touched your head. No not there. Solomon was pointing at the big shadow you cast. Two talk horns rested on your head there.
"Shit. Ugh I guess I can't just use magic Willy nilly anymore because a large part of it goes into keeping these hidden. What a pain-"
Crash. Crack. Splash.
You and Solomon looked to the source of the sound. A broken plate of cookies and tea lay on the floor. And above it stood, Luke.
His mouth gaped as his hands shakily pointed towards your shadow. "M-MC...?"
Shit.

"MAMMON!!! GET BACK HERE!"
You could hear Lucifer shout from down the hall, chuckling to yourself,you started a countdown in your head.
"in...3..2..1"
"MC!! HELP ME".
There he was, bursting your door like always when he got into trouble, he immediately ran into your closet and got quiet immediately. You giggled and continue writing down your homework.
Then your door opened again, gently this time.
"Hello Mc, I apologize for interrupting you," Lucifer said with the usual prideful look on his face.
You smile,putting down your pen, you looked up at him.
"it's okay, what can I help you with?," You asked with the most innocent look on your face.
Lucifer smirked and leaned on the door frame,crossing his arms and legs.
"nothing much, I'm just wondering if you have seen my lovely brother,"
"You have six Lucifer, may I know the traits of the brother you wish to find?" You replied with a mischievous smile.
"hmm let's see, this one is mannerless, loud, very dumb,
Halfway through his explanation, you tilt your head towards your closet while giggling.
Lucifer winked and continued, this time walking slowly to the closet,
"he also happens to be very mischievous, but even with all that he has a decent job, a model at that. But even with all the blessing he just happens to lust over one of my property,
Lucifer opened the closet door revealing and shook Mammon that was hiding in between clothes.
"my credit card. Hello dear brother"
Mammon laughs nervously, "Yo! Lucifer didn't think I'd see ya here. I'm just, y'know, organizing Mc's closet, geez she can't hangs her clothes well don't you think?"
You bit your lips, amused at the scene in front of you, now don't get me wrong, you love Mammon just as much as you love the others but this involves Lucifer, meaning if you don't surrender you might be punished. So, you sacrificed Mammon, cruel I know, but then again, you got this free entertainment live for your eyes only, I'd say it's a worthy sacrifice.
"oh yeah? You're helping her hangs her clothes? That's nice of you, but you seems to be struggling, here let me teach you, learning from experience is the best.So why don't I give you a once in a lifetime experience of how it feel to be hang, it certainly will improve your hanging skills later," Lucifer said while dragging Mammon out by the back of his neck.
"W- Wait Lucifer I'm sorry!! I'M SORRY!! MC YOU TRAITORRR!!!"
That was the thing you didn't regret leaving the human world for. After being transferred all of the sudden, you quickly got used to their antics and banters. It was entertaining. You also managed to glue back this once broken family all over again.
Before you know it, love started to bloom in your heart for all of them. Including your Angel friends and The Demon Lord himself.
Of course you were best friends with Solomon, he's the other human here, if you didn't get along, that'll be a problem.
So when Diavolo made a call to Lucifer saying that a meeting need to be held urgently, For some reason your heart keeps telling you that something bad was about to happen.
Meeting up at RAD, you were surprised when Solomon, Simeon and Luke were there as well.
"Mc! Hi!!!" Luke said while running and hugging you. Well he barely reach your waist, so you crouch down and hugged him back.
"Hi Luke!!"
"Hey Simeon, you too Solomon" you saud waving at them.
Simeon smiled and waved back. Solomon walked towards you and pulled you aside.
"I'm not the only one having bad feeling about this right?"
Your smile immediately drops,"You don't say, I've been feeling like shit since Lucifer told us to get ready,"
Before Solomon could respond, Diavolo came and urges everyone to sit so they could start.
"I apologize for the suddenness, but there us a matter to be brought light about, while both Solomon and Mc are doing fairly well, I have a feeling, I need to take some more steps to further ensures this programme goes well. Therefore-
'oh no. Oh no' you chanted in your head. You immediately threw a look to Solomon. Solomon looked right back and nodded. Your gut feelings were coming to reality.
"I decided to summon one more Human here. It's a girl, She's not a powerful sorcerer like Solomon, but she's not completely magicless like Mc, From what I heard from the Human Realm. She's pretty great.,"
The whole room went silent. Even Lucifer went speechless. Diavolo scanned the room
"any questions?"
You raised your hand. "When is this girl arriving?,"
Diavolo smiled, "Great question! She'll arrive in an hour actually."
Lucifer blinked his eyes. "When did you come up with this idea? And when did you summon her?"
"Last night." Diavolo shrugged.
"Excuse me? I know I said I'm okay with humans now but that really only applies to Mc and Solomon. I'll suffocate if there is more," Belphegor interuppted.
"I mean, Belphie's kinda right, where is she gonna stay, House of Lamentation? It's chaotic enough with us and Mc. I don't think we can handle another one...," Beelzebub continues.
"That's right, Who's gonna teach them the ropes now? I'm gonna say this, I'm not doing it again. Never. ," Mammon said while throwing his hands up.
"I'm fine either way, but in a couple months it'll be a year and Solomon and Mc would have to go back don't they?" Satan asked.
"I don't mind really, I just don't want people getting in my space. I can really just accept Mc at this point," Leviathan butted in
"well if they're as great as you say, Lord Diavolo, I'm hoping they won't cause us any trouble.," Asmodeus shrugged.
The room went silent again. But then Diavolo laughed.
"Mc, what did you do to them. I've never seen them this defensive before. What about you Lucifer? Any complaints?"
Lucifer opened his mouth and closed them before shaking his head.
"Great! Now I understand your concerns but fear not, I'll assign Mc to show them the ropes and I am pretty sure, you will love her. Just like you love Mc. "
Your heart clenched. Huh? What's this? Jealousy? Come on get a grip Mc. It'll be fine. One way or another, you'll get a new friend! A human and a woman too!! . God you'll have so much fun together.
Until she actually arrived.

a replaced!mc au pt. ii〚Flectere si nequeo superos, Acheronta movebo.〛
"If I cannot bend the will of Heaven, I shall move Hell."
part unus
This series was inspired by the writings of @wafermelons and @pen-ink-therapy whose work showed me how cathartic writing and reading angst could be.
Imagine an alternate universe where the seven avatars who have come to love the MC with everything they have, reject them for another. Old wounds are ripped open and laid bare for all to see. Grudges are brought to light, but with it comes an inner peace MC hasn't felt since they became the emotional support of the seven demon lords of the Devildom. Through trial and fire, MC will begin a new journey and the brothers will lose what cannot be replaced.
Warnings: mental abuse, emotional abuse, acts of violence, suicidal ideation, poor mental health, angst, mentions of past death, MC chose violence.
Note: There will be n/sfw and yandere content in future installments because I am a ✨ w h o r e ✨
The look on Mammon’s face—for lack of a better word—was priceless. One sentence. One response from you was all it took to crack his face in two. Your softly smiling lips and impishly twinkling eyes didn’t betray your emotions like his did, but inside you were just as surprised at yourself. The sentence flowed from your lips like a cool breeze on a warm summer’s day. It should’ve hurt, or been scary, or sent you into a panic attack afraid of all of the things that could be done to you in retaliation for daring to talk back—but it wasn’t and you didn’t. You forgot what this felt like, defending yourself against those who sought to tear you down with their hands or their words. It was always scary at first. The buildup of anxiety that festered the longer you took to defend yourself, but once you did, they almost always backed down because they thought you were an easy target and you proved you weren’t.
It was like how a bully's face crumbled in humiliation when you snapped back. They thought you were prey to make an example of in front of your peers, but they were so wrong. You could recall a relative who thought their blood ties could excuse bad behavior, only to get settled in front of the whole family, consequences be damned. You forgot what this felt like. To care about yourself. To begin to love yourself again. When you defended yourself, no matter the outcome, you were affirming your worth and your dignity was not something that could be taken away no matter how daunting the foe. You stared the second strongest lord of the Devildom in the eye and quirked an eyebrow. If you were to die for this, you sure as hell were going to get your money's worth.
You had always been worth so much more than you ever believed, MC.
While you had been invigorated and ready for conflict Mammon’s face had cracked, but by the grace of Diavolo it didn’t betray the mayhem raging inside. His eyes were wide with trembling pupils as if he was having trouble focusing on the human standing not even two feet away from him. Mouth slightly agape, no sound came out. His brothers, the mighty avatars, were frozen where they were. Asmodeus had been curled up on the couch with a throw blanket, but now his eyes were wide, and lips a wobbly line. Belphegor and Leviathan who had been grabbing for Danielle who had been scrambling towards you, were now frozen with their arms extended.
Satan had been stalking towards you with nostrils practically flaring when your words brought him to an abrupt halt. Beelzebub who had been seated on a chair was now sat upright, confusion and concern marred his features as once again he was at a loss of what to do. Lucifer stood the closest to you and Mammon, but he too had paused. He didn’t register that a mere human’s words had halted his movements and if he realized or someone was suicidal enough to mention it, he would surely combust on the spot. The silence was going on too long for your liking. I mean, you had places to be tonight. They had wasted enough of your valuable time—time a mere mortal like yourself couldn’t get back—and you’d be damned before you let them take a second more. Hurry up and start the confrontation so you can get the fuck on.
“What’s the matter, Mammoney? Cat got your tongue?” You used the old nickname he once wore like a badge of honor. He’d go out of his way to have you call that name in public, wanting the world to know that he was yours. Things had been so good once. You were so happy. Don’t worry MC, you can be happy again. It just won’t be with him.
Mammon had to shake himself from his stupor. He hadn’t heard that nickname in so long, and for some reason unknown to him, his heart ached. However, he couldn’t think over these foreign yet familiar feelings now. His brothers were watching and he wasn’t about to let himself be cowed in front of them.
“What the fuck did you just say to the Great Mammon?” His canines seemed more prominent, and his eyes sharpened with a danger never intended for you before. His fists were balled and shook slightly, and you could see the you of the past throwing yourself out of the way, so terrified of an attack. That was no more.
Your smile never left your lips, you didn’t even hesitate, “You’re a goddamned hypocritical little bitch and caring about you was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made.”
He stumbled backwards and the bubble burst. Lucifer was charging at you, drawing up to bring his full form over yours. He was darkness and the odor of burning blood and rusty iron from chains and torture. “MC! How dare you—!”
You turned your head to the left to lock eyes with the furious demon. The fallen. He thought he was so scary, but the flash in your eyes was murderous. He had always thought he was so intimidating. A word from him, and everyone would fall into line, but you weren’t one of them. You looked at him and all you saw was a waste of space. His booming voice that seemed to reverberate in the common room and the hellfire that was his eyes, did nothing to you. Instead, your own eyes were alight with unbridled rage at his insubordination.
“Shut the fuck up!” Your voice was a growl, a beast that long lay dormant inside was awakened and out to protect you. "I am your master and you will obey me."
Every demon in the room was thrown back as strong gales of wind spun with you at its center. All were tossed back from their spots and sent crashing into furniture or the walls around you. Beelzebub was thrown into a display shelf, glass and priceless antiques were destroyed beyond repair. Asmodeus was thrown up where his head hit the ceiling on a tender spot that sent tears blurring his vision. He fell on his side and could immediately feel the bruises forming. Belphegor had been ripped backwards where he skidded across the carpet and bumped into an end table that fell over to crush his thighs.
Leviathan was ripped from his seat and spun in the air where he was thrown at the door where his head collided with the doorframe. His vision blurred and mind raced, unable to latch onto any thought but of terror and confusion and the splinters stuck in his scalp. Satan felt a punch to his gut that propelled him back into the lit fireplace. It took agonizingly long seconds before his body registered the heat. Then, he quickly threw himself on the rug before him and rolled to extinguish the flames, being too stunned to even think of a spell to put them out. Mammon was thrown back where he slid across the carpet and against the wall. Family photos and memories fell from the surface onto and around him. Glass shattered and frames broke and a picture of you and him on a rare trip to the human world caught his attention. You were holding his hand and beaming like it had been the happiest day of your life.
Lucifer should’ve been the one out of the brothers who could stand his ground, but his knees were kicked in by some invisible assailant, and he was tossed aside like a ragdoll. His wings wouldn’t listen to him and appear to catch his flight, so he was cast aside like something insignificant, an indignation he was sure he had never felt in all of his days.
The epiphany came too late. The paltry amount of magic Solomon had leant you at the beginning of your first semester was overwhelmed by your natural talents. You were able to summon the brothers to your side without a formal invocation and they had been imbued with strength they had never felt before from a pact mate. You were far stronger than they had realized, but somehow the fact had been forgotten. Why did they forget? Because you never used your pacts. You treated them like friends and only called when your life was threatened. You never asked for anything, but a bit of their time and they couldn’t even give that. This time, your command wasn’t imbuing them with power, but draining them. While all of this was happening, no demon uttered a single sound, not even a pained groan from their throats, because that was your command: To shut the fuck up. Their bodies listened and obeyed.
You exhaled. You had been afraid for nothing! All this time you held your tongue, bowed out with your tail between your legs and avoided confrontation like it was a fatal contagion because you felt it could kill you. Your life had been threatened in every possible way it could be and you still had panic attacks at night. You would awake unable to move and the air leaving your lungs. You couldn’t breathe or make a single gurgle inside of your throat and your vision would begin to go spotty. Every time that happened you were taken back to your throat being crushed by the hands of someone you foolishly trusted. Your lungs failed you and desperately clawing hands made no scratch on the demon who straddled your weakening form. You couldn’t have done anything to protect yourself back then, and it had hit you long ago how insignificant you truly were.
You could be killed by these creatures who didn’t view you as more than a fly—they had killed you like the fly they saw you as—and every threat may have been filled with truth. Almost eaten in a fit of rage because you were close enough and food. Almost ripped apart because you dared to say 'no.' Almost maimed over a stupid game that didn’t matter. Threatened to be sold or killed or disfigured or tortured until you were actually killed and brought back like exchanging a faulty product for a new one in store. Maybe you had been replaced long ago by a new you who they didn’t bother to ask how you felt. A new you who forgave and forgot.
In the chaos, Danielle was the only one left untouched. There was a slight tremor in her legs as she walked towards you, but it vanished the closer she got. Her back straightened and eyes never left your own. She stopped short, not wanting to invade your personal space, not from fear but from compassion. “MC, are you okay?”
You always looked at her with a softness your eyes had lost towards the brothers, and your smile bloomed into something shy and incredulous. “You’re something else, Danielle. You know that?” She shook her head, worry evident on her features. She pointed towards your hand that glowed with the signature colors of the demons you were in a pact with. The sight soured your expression.
Raising it to get a better view, these colors once gave a feeling of security but now they were a ball and chain you needed to find a saw to cut off. You wiggled your fingers and glanced at her. “Y’know, I was tricked into making these pacts.” She perked up then. She didn’t know how it happened and she never asked because she felt it hadn’t been her place, but she had been waiting to hear your side of things. “I thought I was helping,” you turned away from her, her honest eyes doing something to you, “but I was the only one hurt in the end.” Your throat became sore.
“MC?” Danielle started.
“Yes?”
“I’m on your side.”
You laughed. Come on, now. This had to be a joke, but Danielle stared at you with a resolve that you knew you couldn’t shake. You shook your head as you gazed at her, “I wish that we could’ve been friends.” You smiled and she could feel that same shyness she felt when first meeting you. She had always wanted you to like her, but she didn’t get the chance. “You should go.” You inclined your head to the door. “There’s something I have to do and…I don’t want to scare you.” You couldn’t budge her. “I’m not afraid, MC.” She was already going back to her spot on the couch where she sat crisscrossed. “And I feel like I should be here. Everything needs to come out in the open and I understand if you hate me—.”
“I don’t, Danielle. I could never hate you.” You smiled and she had to look away and clear her throat. Please don’t look at her like that when she’s trying to be serious and supportive here! “Well, no matter what happens here, I just want you to know I’m on your side.” she forced her eyes to meet yours again. You shook your head again, but maybe you didn’t hate the fact that she was here. What was going to happen in this room would sever the ties that bound you to this house and everyone in it, but that thought didn’t scare you like it once did. As cliché as it sounded, you truly could see the light at the end of this tunnel.
Turning away from her, it was time to get started. Your voice was clear and even when you turned your attention to Lucifer who had pulled himself up from the crumbled heap he once was. “Kneel before your master.” Avatars were drawn from their positions and forced to form a circle around you. All were forced to their knees, crashing harshly against the floor and nearly shattering kneecaps. The loudest of the brothers, Asmodeus and Leviathan, weren’t allowed to even make a peep. It was so nice to not hear their shrill voices for once. You basked in the silence, but your attention never left Lucifer whose eyes tried to express every vile intent and curse he could muster, ruby red eyes shaking and mouth drawn tight. You weren’t satisfied.
“Lower.”
Shock appeared on every brother’s face. Even Lucifer’s eyes widened as he was forced down onto his elbows where his fingers laced before him as he faced the floor at your feet in obedience. This still wasn’t enough. “Lower. Face down, ass up.” The smile that adorned your features was salacious. His once proud form prostrated himself in the same humiliating position you had been in not hours before. Forehead pressed against the floor and his ass being the highest point about him as it was raised in the air, he looked like a servant in devotion to their master.
“I’ve called you here for one last family meeting. You will listen to every word I speak and commit them to memory where they will forever be engraved on your hearts. They will invade every moment of silence you’ll ever experience. They’ll haunt your dreams and never let you rest. If I had to suffer from your words, so should you.” They must obey. Their confusion and fear were tuned out in favor of their ears and minds focusing on you and what you had to say. What was going to happen? What do you mean you suffered? You didn’t care for easing their anxieties, instead reaching down to take a fist full of Lucifer’s always perfectly styled hair painfully by the roots to jerk his head up to face you. Your eyes scanned his face looking for something of substance or value. Your eyes were unreadable, and he could feel an anxiety from being judged rise inside of him. Finally, your eyes flashed as you came to your conclusion.
“You look pretty like this. No wonder Diavolo keeps you down here—on your knees where you belong.” If they could’ve there would’ve been audible gasps heard in this room. “Just don’t forget who else owns your ass.” The look on his face should’ve been memorialized, but you didn’t waste time on him as you released his hair—now messy—and his head fell to the floor once more.
You retook your place at the center of the circle and gazed at every face. Every single one you had cared for in some way, but now those feelings had burned to ash, and something new thrived in its place. You needed to quench its thirst. As far as humans go, you tried to be good and kind. You tried to extend the same kindness to others that you wish you had been given at some of your lowest points in life. You never wanted others to feel the same hurt you did, but at the expense of your own health? You should’ve treated others like they deserved to be treated, MC. Don’t be good and kind; don’t be their Lilith. Let that vindictive bitch inside out.
“There are some things I have to get off of my chest.” You started, “Everyone else got to share their feelings, so I should get a turn before I go. Just remember: You unloaded all of this on me to fix and didn’t realize you were giving me ammo.”
You walked towards Mammon, the look in your eyes felt so disconnected to what he was used to as you gazed down at him.
“I guess I’ll start with my first,” you grinned, but he couldn’t feel the butterflies he used to. He felt cold. “Everything you did hurt the most, Mammon, because I loved you.” His eyes widened and he struggled to open his mouth or even whine, but nothing would come out. His throat was numb.
“You always pushed me away, but I couldn’t help but care. I never felt safer than when I was with you, and I trusted you over anyone else.” You searched his eyes, and he could feel the emotion. You were hurting and he was the one who caused it. How did he let it get this far?
“I was so stupid.” Wait, what?
“Everything that your brothers had ever said was true. You’re lower than shit, and not even half as useful. You go on and on about being the greatest but you’re a slave to some fucking witches who’ve made you their bitch and you let them. Either you get trapped in schemes that anyone could see, or you throw yourself into shit chasing coin that you never get to keep. You debase yourself for things or money that mean nothing, and in the end, you’re left used up and empty. You’re the cheapest fucking thing on the market, but no amount of grimm can buy back the dignity and respect you lost. What’s the point of making a pact with ‘the Great Mammon’ if everyone gets a turn? How many people have you had to suck and fuck to get out of debt just to fall into an MLM? You ask for respect, but when have you ever been worthy? When have you ever been someone to be proud of?”
You stoop down to meet his eye level, his trembling pupils and glassy eyes can no longer reach your heart. “The Great fucking Mammon is a delusion to save your shit self-esteem from everything people say because you know it’s the truth. You’re a greedy pest with no sense of self-worth so you take and take from everyone around you to bring them down to your level.” You tap a finger to his heart, “But no amount of grimm will change what you are or what people say. The only thing that can make the change is you, and you gave up a long time ago, right? You tried to play the good guy with me, but that crashed and burned. ‘I’ll protect ya!’ ‘I’m your first man!’ But how long did that last, Mammon? You kept me alive for what—a few months?—And then watched your baby brother kill me. Did you like it?” You leaned forward, voice dropping to a low whisper that sent chills wracking his spine. “Did it satisfy something in you watching that pesky little human being killed? I bet you liked that I couldn’t bother you anymore. If the human was out of the way, you could have more time to chase that grimm! Mammon, you’re the second born and Belphegor’s the weakest. If you wanted to save me, you would’ve. For once, just accept the truth. If you really cared you would’ve done something about it, but you chose you brother over me. You all did. Give me back the time I wasted loving you.”
You gently touched the gold change around his neck, only to cruelly rip it from his throat. A spell in your mind, a reverse alchemy that regressed an item to its basic components had the ‘gold’ chain reduced to mere copper. You stared down at the mineral blankly, then chuckled. “Cheap and tasteless. Typical.” You dropped the ash and grains at his knees and stood up to find Leviathan. When your eyes locked on his, he wanted to shrink in on himself and disappear. His turn was coming.
“Leviathan, you were wrong. People don’t hate you because you’re some yucky otaku.” Your voice was reassuring like the times you talked him down from his self-deprecating tangents. He foolishly let himself relax. “Please smile for me.” You cooed and his muscles drew back to expose his pearly whites to you despite his eyes betraying his fear.
His tense muscles relaxed the moment before your foot collided into his mouth.
Your shoe was a battering ram against his teeth, knocking his head back with a snap and him tumbling backward and on his back. The entire time, he didn’t make a sound. Some teeth loosened while his front ones chipped and broke. His mouth wasn’t allowed to open despite filling with blood and fragments of a broken smile, so he had no choice but to swallow it all down. The blood wouldn’t stop but he choked it down all the same. Tears poured from his eyes pathetically, but he couldn’t even sniffle.
“People hate you because you’re a manipulative, whiny, bitch-ass bastard who sucks the joy out of every place you go. You’re almost as much of a blackhole as Beelzebub, listless and empty, and like your older brother you take, and you take, and you take. You take good will, you take patience, you take the last shred of sanity needed to deal with a pathetic fuck like you! You take more than a person can give and you want more, but Leviathan, I have to tell you—you’re not worth it and you never will be.” Your once low voice when berating Mammon rose an octave, showing how annoyed you had been with Levi all this time.
“The most insecure are always the loudest, and you never shut the fuck up. If you hate being such a bother, why don’t you just disappear? The third born and leader of a fucking navy, but you can’t make any friends or inspire anything but pity. You need your hand held just to leave your room, but at least you’re considerate enough to know that no one wants to be seen with you.” You sneered down at him. He had truly been an annoyance for so long. You found a kindred spirit in him, his raw insecurities mirroring some of your own, so maybe that’s why it hurt so much to be left behind by someone you thought understood you. “Now don’t go withdrawing into yourself now. You’re always so expressive when playing those video games with the other scrotes who only have experience with their free hands. You’re so good at games, that’s the only thing you can be confident in. But when you lose? Everyone loses. They lose a tooth, they lose a friend, they could even lose their lives. Misery loves company because the only company you can keep are those you ruin.
“You’re weak and bitter, and not everyone is going to fall for your shit. What else can you offer than that? What more can you bring to the table, Levi? Nothing and you know it. I'm sure you were as useless in the celestial realm as you are down here." Snot dribbled down his chin as you hissed in dissatisfaction. "That's why you fell, right? Not some grand purpose you deluded yourself into believing like Lucifer— you fell because you had nowhere else to go. If your brothers left you'd be all alone. Heaven knows you're not the best at socializing, and you'd be up there all alone with no one you could talk to. Let's be real, you won't focus on anything that isn't a waifu or shitty otaku cashgrab, because you knew they would see through you as the waste of space, bottom of the barrel, unwanted middle child you are." Your sneer dropped into a flat line and your voice became a grave monotone, "You were right. Shove a loli figurine up your ass, you fucking degenerate, and throw in the fucking towel.”
You were out of breath at the end, but felt so fucking alive. You had cared about him once. The social anxiety was real, and you wanted to help him and grow together, but he let go of your hand. You were just paying back what was owed.
You turned to Satan and frowned. His eyes were like those of a caged animal, parts afraid, but parts ready to rip the keeper limb from limb if they dared approach. “Well, if it isn’t Lucifer’s precious little boy. His happy little accident.” You grinned wickedly and his eyes widened. “An amalgamation of some of his worst parts, but nothing left to stand on your own.” You raised a finger and he rose to his feet without hesitation. “At least you know a few tricks.” You continued, “Maybe show me what you did to me that one time.” His eyes widened, as his body levitated in the air and crashed into the wall behind him. Maybe it was your own influence, but the wall around him seemed to erupt as he went back as far as the wooden and stone beams lining the foundation of the home. Dust and cobwebs and construction fell around him and sent plumes of dust around the room, but you just stood and stared with your hands in your pockets. “Make yourself comfortable.” You said and his body began to grind into the beams and plaster with every bit of harshness and pain you had felt tenfold. You could see the veins straining in his neck and chose to let him slowly grind to a halt. His skin blazed a brilliant red from beneath his shirt, up his neck and to his ears.
“Are you angry?” You raised an eyebrow with a bored tone. “You’re so predictable, but it makes sense. You’re a product of a single emotion so how complex could you really be, right?” You didn’t wait for an answer as you mused over his existence, “Born from rage, you were conceived from trauma, but lots of people were so don’t let that get you down. You were never wanted and never meant to be anything more than a product of the worst moment of Lucifer’s life.” Your smile widened just a bit and the lights were dancing in your eyes. “You’re nothing more than an extension of someone else, and because of that you’ll never be whole. You can read every book from the Great fucking Library of Alexandria, but that won’t teach you what it means to feel. You can read about people’s lives and their dreams, but that won’t give you your own. You’ll never be able to be anything more than what you were after the fall. Wrath and hate and violence. You’re no more than a shade with one purpose and that’s just to be. So fucking controlled by your rage, do you even have a free will or to this day, do you still unconsciously act on Lucifer’s feelings? Could you ever exist without him? Do you even exist now?” For once, it looked like the demon would shed tears from anger, but you didn’t care. The look on his face was kind of cute in a way.
“Also, before I forget, you’re a pretentious prick. Yeah, you’re well-read but how could you not be when it’s the only way you know to live? You try not to be like Lucifer, but you’re copy. Wake the fuck up. Everything you loathe about him you have right in here.” You point to your heart, “And that’ll never go away as long as you live. You could never exist without him, but he can without you, and you know that.” He stared at you from his crucifixion pose in the common room’s wall and it looked like all of the fight had left him. He almost looked like the cute kittens he loved so much. You had bested Wrath.
You turned on Asmodeus and could see the teeth chattering behind his lips. You stood above him and scrutinized his features. Was he beautiful? Well, everyone else said so. What were you not getting?
"The Jewel of the Heavens," you started, "turned public toilet."
The tears spilled from his eyes and that fueled you. You had cried in front of him so many times; His words dressed you down to every insecurity you stupidly shared when you trusted him, and he turned them into knives and spit poison at you. Everyone had flaws, but his fault was acting like he had none. He was a huge slut with no self worth, yet acted like something to be treasured. "Free to use."
"You think people like being around you? You think they love you?" You began, "but people only like what you can do for them or what you let them do to you, Asmodeus." Your voice took on the faux compassionate tone his would take when giving you 'advice' and you even gingerly placed a hand over your chest and tilted your head, eyes boring into his own. "People don't want to hear your opinions. It doesn't even matter if you lay there like a dead fish, because dildos and fleshlights don't need feelings."
"That 'love' is dopamine, sweetie. When people cum, they feel a rush of neurochemicals that trigger pleasure, motivation, and desire. People will say anything before post-nut clarity kicks in and one of the biggest little lies they'll say is that they love you." You looked down at him like you truly pitied him and maybe you did. Even you wouldn't let yourself be as delusional as he is. "People don't love you, but they sure love fucking you, and you're not too picky as long as someone throws a few compliments your way. When you tried to get me into bed after complimenting your hair, I thought: This bitch is a lost cause." You grinned recalling that memory that seemed so long ago.
Your brows furrowed and the smile you sent looked apologetic, as if you were trying to break the news gently, “Y’know, Asmo…” You started—spurred on by his puffy and red face, wet cheeks, snot, and shaking lips—“How your powers don’t work on me?” You stared him deep in the eyes with a smile that he once called beautiful. “Maybe I’m not immune, and maybe you’re just a basic little bitch.” His expression shattered into a million pieces and the tears were back in full force. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I’ve always been able to see right through you. So, maybe I can see your disgusting insides on the outside? Something about you was always a little disgusting to me. Everyone and anything could touch you and your touch felt like an infection to me. I washed my sheets at least three times after you slept in my bed." you shivered involuntarily. "Something just made my skin crawl, y'know?” You added conversationally like you were shooting the shit on an average Sunday afternoon.
“You embody your sin just like the others and you’re good at what you do, but would your fans feel the same if they could really see you? The insecurities and the viciousness are really fucking ugly, and you do not wear them well, darling. You can fluff yourself up as much as you want, but we both know what you truly see in the mirror and it’s not pretty. You take care of yourself, but what’s left? Nothing. Asmodeus, you want love, but the only love you can get is physical and skin-deep. I promise you that no one could stand to be around you for five minutes if they had to do anything with you other than fuck. How could I stand you? Because I accepted it. I accepted the ugly parts because everyone has them, and I didn’t hold you to the impossible standards that you did.” You sighed as if tired with him and it all, “But for a former Jewel of the Heavens and fifth demon lord, you’re pretty fucking bland. Safe and without substance.
“You can fill the holes in your head and your ass, but you’ll never fill the one in your heart. You can’t give love and you can’t get it, sweetie. I pray you never lose that face cause you’ll really have nothing left.” You smiled as if giving heartfelt advice and turned your back to him just as quickly. He was shut out and discarded like last week's trend
Your eyes found Beelzebub but his were looking anywhere, but at you. He knew what guilt felt like, but never did anything about it. “There’s my big strong protector.” You could see his Adam’s apple bob. “Well, you’re good at protecting everyone else. You’ve got Lucifer’s back even though you don’t know what the fuck’s going on most of the time, and you could even back up a murderer over me.” His eyes found yours now. “You try to be the strong silent protector, but you’re more of a bitch-ass hypocrite than Mammon. Clap it up.” You clapped for him with a grin, “You’re as much of a drain as Leviathan and a one dimensional, listless bastard as Satan. You were always good at following the others, after all.
“You hold onto the past and let it tear you up inside and you eat to fill the emptiness for a little bit, but you’ll never be whole, Bumble Bee.” The nickname made his heart ache. “You’re an empty hole that’ll never be filled just like Asmodeus, and the same way you followed Lucifer into Hell, you’ll follow anyone because you don’t think for yourself and you're slow as fuck. If you weren’t a shadow or up Belphegor’s ass, you’d be nothing, and it’s sad you’ve never realized this. You think you’re kind and compassionate? You’re a dumbass that follows the leader, let’s not dress it up as something else.” You pulled out your ace. You didn’t care what would happen to you. After everything that happened, you’d sure as hell take someone down with you.
“Can we talk about Lilith? You should really stop blaming yourself. What else could you have done? I thought that it wasn’t your fault, but the second time you let someone be killed in front of you I started to notice a pattern. When it was my life on the line, you chose your twin—you always choose that trash in the end.”
You knew that your words should’ve gotten you killed, but your powers were too strong as your words penetrated their minds and nestled in deep. “Just admit it, Bumble. You don’t care about anyone else but keeping him alive even if he’s a genocidal maniac. It’s not sibling love, but dependency because you’re too afraid to live for yourself. No matter who it is, or what stake, you’ll always choose him. I did everything I could to help him for you. You cared so much and were hurting and I…” Your eyes got a little glassy and you paused to stare him down. “I wanted to help you forgive yourself, but you never should. You should live with your decisions for the rest of your shitty life and let the regret eat you from the inside out. I hope that at the end there'll be nothing left of you.”
You stood still for a moment before turning. There were no more smiles, but a burning ice in your veins. Violence hadn’t been your first instinct for so long, but gazing at Belphegor’s neck, it looked so scrawny and you could practically feel the bones breaking in your hands. “Belphegor.” You could feel the rage rolling from him in waves. He would have your life for what you said to his twin, but not if you had his first.
“Did you really think it was over?” You wanted to kick him, to crush his throat, to rip every strand of hair from his head, but that could wait. “What was it about you that made me want to help you? You had his eyes so I trusted you. I shouldn't have been so sentimental.” You gazed at him wistfully, but a chill ran down his spine. “Do you really believe I ever forgave you? Every time you hugged me, I wanted to throw up. When I was alone with you, I felt your hands around my neck and I was fighting as hard as I could, but no one came to help me. It took so long to die. I tried so hard but that meant nothing in the end. I felt myself die and everyone just watched. Surrounded by people, but I was all alone.”
They thought you had forgotten. This timeline’s MC had died, so those shouldn’t have been your memories! It should’ve been a clean slate. They stupidly forgot that if you remembered the good times pre death, how could you not remember the most traumatic event of your life? Your throat was growing tight, and you unconsciously touched you neck, “I can still feel your hands. I can feel the blood vessels bursting in my neck and eyes. You were the last thing I saw as I died, and to the end I was wondering what I did wrong. 'How did I make you turn on me? Did I offend you? I thought I had been helping.'
“But it’s okay, Belphegor. I got a second chance to see where I went wrong and I can see that you were always a greasy bastard so caught up in the past and your survivor's remorse sister complex. I wish God had wiped you out of existence before you even landed. You wanted to end humanity, but you should’ve started with yourself. The problem was always with you. Always you. Blaming your problems on others, you even blamed Beelzebub for saving your sorry ass and I hate that he saved you too. Meeting you was the worst thing that ever happened to me, and I wish I had listened to that arrogant bitch about the stairs, but you should know better than anyone that we can’t go back. We deal with the present.
“Do you think Lilith is proud of you?” his eyes were wild, silently screaming to stop talking, but you continued. “I’ve felt her since my first day here.” You said, and that was the truth. You had never been alone when you arrived, but her form was not enough to interfere or protect you. “She had always been watching you all… She saw everything but loved you anyway.” You were looking him in the eyes and the anger turned to pity at his foolishness, “She. Saw. Everything. She was there when you killed me, and she’s been angry with you ever since. When you fell from Heaven, you fell somewhere too low to reach. You’re irredeemable and I wash my hands of you."
You huffed and softly shook your head like a disappointed parent. “Just do one last thing for me, Belphegor." You looked at him now and he recognized that expression. After a long day of coddling the brothers, you would be emotionally drained but he still sucked every drop of attention you had to offer until you had nothing left to give.
"Close your eyes."
His eyes closed immediately.
“Now, fall into a never-ending nightmare where you’ll feel everything I felt."
You didn't second guess yourself.
"Die then revive and die again—"
He deserved far worse.
"staring up at your own face killing you.”
He was lucky you would let him live.
Beelzebub would’ve yelled out, he would’ve ran to catch his brother from falling to the floor in a heap, but he couldn’t do anything for anyone. Belphegor began to twitch and squirm on the floor, then he started to convulse and buck as if trying to throw someone off of him. His hands desperately clawed at his neck, trying to pry something off —perhaps a pair of hands that had a bone-crushing grip on his windpipe?— but he only tore into his own flesh, drawing bright red gashes. He wheezed, and you could see his chest desperately rising and falling as he choked down shallow breaths until his chest couldn’t rise any more. He fell limp for a few moments, and then reanimated again where he started the horrible cycle all over again. Seeing that your work was done, you turned to the last event.
“Lucifer,” you called softly to him like you did before entering his office, “Have you thought about what you’ve done? No, I’m not talking about the lies and the imprisonment. I’m talking about the threats and the violence and everything you’ve ever done to the first human in your care.” His mouth stayed sealed, and you smiled at the back of his head that was facing you.
Then, you raised a foot and stumped his head further into the floor.
One.
“You always acted like you were better than everyone else.”
Two.
“Because you felt like you were the lowest.”
Three.
“There’s a limit to how much you can fake it, Lucifer.”
Four.
“Everyone can see you for what you are.”
Five.
“An angel fallen from glory desperately clinging to a pride he doesn’t have.”
The violence made you feel a little better, but it didn’t help. You could never change a demon and he would never understand how much he hurt you. “Look at me, Lucifer.” He groggily raised his head and although the fight left his eyes, he was still alert and aware, and his body awaited your command. A brilliant red spread from his broken nose and across his face. How the mighty had fallen. “You hated me from day one and it’s always been mutual. You’re a pompous bitch who thinks he can micromanage everyone around him, and be the pinnacle of perfection we should all strive to emulate, but don't delude yourself, the only thing you can be proud of is your place at Diavolo’s feet. You went from being a lapdog for one master to another, and you don’t even see it. Maybe you’re not that smart after all.” You tilted your head quizzically. “I hate everything about you because you’re every trait I’ve ever seen in an abuser back in the human world. Mammon takes, and Leviathan manipulates, Satan rages and hurts, and Asmodeus tries to destroy people from the inside, and Beelzebub betrays, and Belphegor should’ve been destroyed so many times over.
“And you think you run a tight ship? You think you have the right to fucking discipline me, but you can’t even control your damn family! Everything was falling apart, Lucifer. Everyone hated each other and themselves, and everything was on the brink of imploding because you were too incompetent to keep your little brothers in check. One wanted to destroy humanity and you were too much of a pushover bitch that you couldn't give him a spanking—just sent him to his room and called it a fucking day. Excellent parenting, by the way! No wonder the others are goddamned tragedies: They're true testaments to your capabilities as a leader." You hissed through your teeth and looked down at him like an insect too much of a pain to even crush underfoot.
"You’re not superior, reliable or the most capable person in the room. You’re a wine mom trainwreck that’s trying to prettify the disaster that is your life. You're a fucking mess—a walking moral story to never be like you. Never in my life have I ever seen someone ruin everything they fucking touch! In this, you're truly superior." You clapped mockingly. "I may be a human, but you’re a disgrace, and unlike me, you don’t have the capacity to change. Stay bitter and twisted for all of eternity, you melancholic bitch. Every time you look in the mirror see all of the ways you failed everyone you ever cared about. Remember that human who almost trusted you and died for it.”
You stepped back and finally exhaled. Anxiety and self-doubt fell from your shoulders. Every way you thought you were undeserving of love was untrue, and you thanked whatever power was out there that you realized it before something irreversible happened. You had been teetering on the edge of oblivion for so long, and tonight may have been the night you ended it all. Checking your phone may have been the thing that brought you back. You chuckled and tilted your head back with your eyes closed. It wasn’t raining but you felt refreshed. “I wasted so much time here stressing over things that never mattered. Killing myself for nothing.” You sighed again and rolled your shoulders, already thinking of plans for the future. You had far too much to catch up on!
But first…You turned on Mammon once again, “Mammon, retrieve my grandmother’s ring in pristine condition. The same way you found it when you stole it from me. I don’t care if you have to lie, cheat, steal, kill or debase yourself in anyway—I want my fucking ring.” Your lips curled, “Even if you have to humiliate yourself, preferably with video evidence, do what needs to be done to get it back.” His face paled and lips trembled pathetically. You weren’t doing anything worse than what Lucifer would’ve done. Honestly, he should be grateful to have such a kind master.
“You have five minutes.” His wings were already ripping from his back and propelling him in the air. “Oh, and Mammon,” he looked to you, and you lifted the corners of your lips with your fingers mockingly, “Do it with a smile!” His mouth contorted into the pained open-mouthed grin of someone trying to hold back tears. You waved him off and turned around to see Danielle standing behind you.
“Oh! Ah… You saw all of that, huh?” You asked sheepishly. Danielle stepped towards you until you were as close as you two had been when she tried to press you back outside, so close you could almost hear her heartbeat pounding in her chest. “I didn’t want to scare you.”
“You didn’t, though!” She was reaching for your hands and taking them in her own. Her hands were so small and soft and a loneliness you had tried to ignore for months hit you at once. When was the last time you felt such warmth? Even holding another’s hand was now foreign territory and your hands shook with nerves. “I told you I was on your side, MC.” She affirmed like you should’ve never doubted her. “I don’t know all that happened, and I won't pretend to, but did they…were you…” She didn’t know if she even wanted to know, but it would explain so much! The fear and the panic attacks and the signs of PTSD were so familiar to her. She had witnessed similar symptoms from abuse survivors, and she had done her best to not isolate you, but then it came to the point that she had to avoid you for your own safety. She took a quivering breath, not aware that her hands held your own tighter and that she was shaking.
“It’s in the past, Danielle.” You squeezed her hands back and released them, drawing away from her as she desperately wanted to reach out and take your hands again.
“I’m leaving. I don’t know where I’m going, but forget about me, okay?” She was about to argue, but your smile and the tender hurt in your eyes silenced her. “You make everything better just by being. Stay here and be happy." You nodded your head affirming your beliefs, "You deserve to be happy.”
“But where are you going? I can go with you!” She was leaning into you, wanting to invade your space, but holding herself back. You tucked a loose stand of silky hair behind her ear and slipped away before she could grab you and never let go. “For now, just forget I was ever here. I want to disappear, but on my own terms.” You began walking to the room that was never yours and she followed after. You two had left the six remaining demons to kneel in the common room completely forgotten.
Slinging your bag over your shoulder, a strangled whine left her throat. You had already packed! You had planned to leave from the start. “If you don’t feel safe here, just tell me or Diavolo or literally anyone else and we’ll take you somewhere safe.” You looked at her with concern, “Do you feel unsafe here, Danielle?” She couldn’t lie. She knew that things were fine for her here, and she couldn’t lie to you just to follow along. She could tell you needed to be away from everything that reminded you of the pain, and that may have included her.
“I’ll be okay, but I won’t forget you and you can’t forget me.” She commanded and you laughed. You both returned to the common room where Mammon was already waiting with the others. He was out of breath and covered in foliage and sweat, but he had made it in time. Extending a hand, he placed your ring into your waiting palm and you turned your back on him without even a glance. Danielle watched you examine the ring and put it on your finger to admire. Your guard lowered the slightest bit as you gazed at the precious keepsake, and she fought the urge to reach out to you. She didn't want to ruin this moment of peace for you.
Soon, you looked up at her refreshed and ready to depart. “If we had met in the human world, I would’ve been drawn to you, y'know?" Your expression became bashful. "I really would've wanted to be your friend.” You said and that only made her sadder. “I wish we could’ve been friends.” She balked at that. “W-we still can be!” You looked at her carefully and then nodded. “Yeah... Yeah, you're right! I still have your number and you have mine.” An easy smile was on your lips as you were once again thinking of the future. “When I get to where I’m going, can I text you?” “You better call!” You both giggled and for a moment, things felt normal.
It was so nice to finally talk to her, but now that you could you were at a loss at what to say. All you wanted to do was open your mouth and let everything spill out.
“I… Danielle, I’ve died every day since being here. Things were so good for a time if I just forgot everything that happened to me and forgave it all, but I was killing myself to make others happy and I don’t want to die again.” Your eyes were glossy with unshed tears, and you tried to sniffle without her hearing. You could read her thoughts and stepped back before she could advance, “Please don’t. If you hug me, I really might break down.” She held her arms to her sides and tried to look composed. She wouldn’t make you cry.
“Promise to call me and I won’t.”
You sniffled and burst out laughing. “Okay, I promise.”
You stood around and smiled at each other while Belphegor spasmed beside you. Her eyes dropped to his form, annoyed that he was ruining her moment before your left.
“What are you going to do about them?” She pointed at him, but you were already walking to the front door. Turning back, you cast a glance at the wreckage you caused: the room that a literal twister had gone through, the blood and bruises and the broken bones and the demon trapped in a nightmare of his own design.
You smiled a devil may care grin, “That's not my problem anymore!” and shut the door behind you.

You were on autopilot tonight. Your steps felt feather light against the cobblestone that once marked impending doom, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves around you and filled your lungs with fresh air. This time, you were leaving the House of Lamentation with no intentions of returning and the taste of freedom was sweet on your tongue.
You trusted your instincts to guide your way and found yourself at the gates of the castle. The iron gates stood tall and foreboding before you, but they opened before you could even stop and consider your options. A svelte silhouette stood beneath the moonlight, pressed uniform catching the light in his polished buttons and buckles. “Welcome MC, it’s a little late for a stroll, isn’t it?”
Another elegant figure stood beside the first, clothes and shawl glowing faintly from a fine material out of this world. Posture relaxed yet regal while the other was perfectly poised, they both felt familiar and safe to you. “Right on time! We were on our way to retrieve you, but you came to us.”
Stepping forward you grasped the outstretched hands waiting for your own, and left the shadows behind.

Part 5
♡<pt.4
{A/n: this was supposed to be the climax but it feels kinda meh and short, so I apologize. And I apologize for the late update, there's so much goung on in my life I could barely keep up. I promise the next one won't take this long}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Falling
Falling
Falling
Falling
It burns
It hurts
It's dark
It's hot
Where am I?
Why am I here?
Where is the end?
Is there an end?
How did I get here?
Who am I?
Lucifer could feel his blood run cold. His horns slowly started to appear. His eyes glow red, the brothers slowly started to fume in anger.
Diavolo looked at Lucifer, "calm down, we'll see what Solomon says"
Solomon burst towards the door, clothes burnt but he looked fine. "Abyss. Mc. Witch" was all it took for the brothers to dashed out the door flying in their demon form.
Barbatos grabbed his head, "ugh" Diavolo looked at him.
"Is there any way we can turn back time?"
Barbatos looked at him, "you know the answer Young Master. Once you fell into the abyss, there is no going back."
Diavolo rubbed his face in frustration, "get some rest, I'll be back. You too Solomon, you don't look good,"
Diavolo unleashed his form and flew towards the brothers. Demons in the Devildom were in awe though a tad bit confused as what was happening, the seven brothers and their Next King is flying hurriedly.
Lucifer could feel his heart beating faster than he ever felt. It's even worse than when you went into rampage years ago. He was only focusing on flying when he heard a quiet sniffle, he turned to the side and saw his brothers' desperate faces, tears running down Asmodeus flawless face,Mammon  forehead was creasing, Satan was fuming, Leviathan was quiet for once, Beelzebub was angry, Beel never get angry, Belphegor looked just like he did when the war happened
That's when he knew, he need to save you no matter what. he wasn't the only one who needed you. They needed you. They've lost you once,they're not losing you again. He won't allow it.
The way to the abyss was filled with thick forest,lakes after lakes,mountains after mountain. It was so far.
The air slowly became thicker, hotter. Suffocating, Leviathan eventually fell down and started gasping, coughing. He took a moment before gathering the strength to fly again. Mammon waited for him and grabbed his arms to support him flying stabily
Suddenly, a ball of fire flew straight towards them.
"Lucifer!" Satan screamed before lauching at him, both of them tumbling down.
They coughed and groaned at the pain they felt while falling down. "What is it" Lucifer asked, his anger doubling.
"The witch is here " Satan whispered.
His brothers managed to dodge every spell thrown towards them. Lucifer dashed to Satan and grabbed him up, flying straight up to the dark sky of Devildom, avoiding the trees of the Dark Forest, allowing him more space to scan for the witch.
Suddenly, he heard Asmodeus screaming, Satan launched towards the sound and found Asmodeus by the tree, wings burnt. Satan picked him up and flew away. Lucifer saw burnt patches on Satan wings and frowned. He won't last any longer.
"You are not getting away!" Satan screamed.
"Stop bein' a coward would ya?! Come out!" Mammon shouted from the top of the tree, Belphegor dropped down gently on the forest floor.
Walking slowly, "He said, COME OUT!" Belphegor launched a spell, breaking a tree right in front of him off. That's when everyone saw the witch.
They surround her. "Careful Belphie" Beel warned as the witch was now disappearing and reappearing in random places.
It was awfully quiet, they were waiting, waiting for the right time to strike. Watching her every move. She wasn't too fast for their eyes but surely was fast for them to attack.
"Lucifer! GO!" Diavolo shouted as he knocked the witch away from stabbing Lucifer from the back.
The witch screamed, making the brothers fell to their knees.  It was so high pitched it could bleed their ears. Their focus was way off as they were approaching the Abyss.
The witch stabbed Diavolo in the arm and  broke free from, flying away to the abyss. Diavolo caught her again and grabbed her arms, stopping her from moving. She smirked and laugh. Diavolo gasped whwn he felt a stab straight through his abck to his chest. He turned and saw a clone of the witch. Diavolo fell down. Blood trickling down.
She turned and flew straight towards Lucifer, mouth restless as she cast spells after spells to prevent the brothers from reaching it.
"Get out of my way!"Lucifer grabbed the witch by the throat. Lifted her in the air and his eyes glowed as his arm shook
That's when he took a good look at the witch.
It felt oddly familiar. This creature felt familiar. Too familiar. It was making Him gag. He threw the witch down.
Out of the blue, there were flocks of Crows attacking him, biting his arms, horns, face, he swatted them away, the crows started pecking on his eyes, nose, another flock came and started throwing stones and tree branches, their launches were very calculated almost as if they have the ability to plan. he  eventually lost his balance when they plucked his wings one after another. The pain was unimaginable, it  burns and itches
Lucifer screamed in pain and fell down with a loud thud. The little insects started biting their way onto his skin, sucking his blood, he was  too weak to move or swat them away. He could hear his brothers fighting, he opened his eyes slowly and saw Beel breaking Cerberus neck restlessly.
It was chaos. The forest was burning, blood were shed yet again. It was happening again. And he failed to stop it again. He failed to stop you again. He closed his eyes,
"WAKE UP LUCIFER!" Leviathan shouted shaking his body, he could hear him, but he was so exhausted.
"Asmo behind you!" Mammon shouted when he saw a gust of wind, too strong to be nature's doing aiming at his brother. Mammon grabbed Asmo and toom the hit. Both of them were thrown away and hit a tree. They laid there lifelessly.
Belphegor was capturing wolves and beasts that were thrown towards them. Slashing their heads off, He was slowly losing his strength. Satan eventually had to pull Belphegor away as his ears and nose started to bleed. Beelzebub was on the ground, exhausted. Throwing the corpses as his only way of keeping them away from him.
"Lucifer please..." Leviathan cried out, "I can't fly anymore, Beel is gonna get eaten, If anyone could save her it's you, so please. " he sobs as he saw Beel ran out of corpses to throw.
"Let's not lose her again,Lucifer. I'm begging you." Leviathan said before running and dragging Beel that is twice as heavy as him away as best as he could.
Let's not lose her again,
Let's not lose her again,
Let's not lose her again
We already lost her. She was never ours. She doesn't belong here. Lucifer wanted to shout back but he bit his tongue. He laid there.
He didn't know why but he suddenly remember his letter that you left for him. He smiled softly.
Thank you for always keeping me safe,I love you
That's when he found a sudden burst of strength. Lucifer opened his eyes. Pushes himself up and tried to work his wings. It burns, it stings. But it's working.
He hadn't lose you. He knew where you are. He was not losing you, he had to return you back. Even if it killed him.
He took a shaky breath before running as fast as he can. He ran and ran and ran until his skin burns.
That's how he knew he made it. He looked down into the Abyss. It was dark. But not empty. The darkness is from the flames being too hot it was black.
Closing his eyes and remembering your smiling face,
he jumped down.
He screamed when he felt his body burns.
"Mc!!!" He called out, hoping you'd hear him.
{A/n: a bit short, sorry darlings, BUT HUGEEE THANK YOU FOR 900 FOLLOWERS what did I do to deserve this😭😭❤ i am not satisfied with this so expect a few small edits? Idk it feels off}
⚠️ Remember this is purely fiction. I created this story, none of this is related to any religions.All things mentioned came purely from my own imagination.⚠️
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All eyes stared at the person standing by the door. Clothes burnt, blood stained face, hair messy, sweat dripping down their face, Hands shaking.
Diavolo took a step towards the entrance, grabbed their shoulders. Staring straight into their eyes.
"What in the world happen to you, Barbatos!?" He yelled. Barbatos kept quiet. Looking around, He saw everyone's pale faces staring at him.
He grabbed Diavolo's hands, peeled them away from him,
"Please excuse me while I clean myself up Young Master." He whispered and walked away. Leaving everyone speechless.
How could they not be? That was the Demon King's butler. His strength was greater and the same level as the brothers. He could  stop the brothers physical fights that involved magic as he was strong enough. To hurt him must've been a huge challenge, last time someone tried to hurt him, they ended the fight in 5 minutes.
Seeing his beaten state caused everyone to worry, who was arrogant enough to go to such lengths? How long were they fighting to cause that much damage to him?
"You said he was in the human realm?"Lucifer asked Diavolo.
Diavolo hesitated,"...he should be, I saw him left with my own eyes..."
The second Barbatos got back to the dining hall. He sat himself down on of the chair, exhausted.  Diavolo walked towards him, crouching in front of him.
"What happened? I thought you were gonna stay there for two more days?" He asked.
Barbatos frowned, "two more days? In there? Were you aware of how hard it was climbing back up? "
Diavolo frown deepened, "Coming back here shouldn't be a problem is it? You have my permission and even if you don't you can easily open a portal..."
Barbatos was stunned, he looked at everyone around him. Confused.
"Young master....where did you think I was?"
Diavolo tilted his head," you were at the Human Realm were you not?"
Barbatos paled.
[Human Realm]
"How long are you gonna be pissed." You asked .
Barbatos sighed," how long are you gonna put off going back there? " and put down his book.
"I have a week right? Let me do the things I wanna do first before I die."
Barbatos rolled his eyes, "You'll be dead before you finish them. "
You turned the channel, pressing the buttons way to harshly,gritting your teeth,"well at least it's nice to know when I'll die."
He raised an eyebrow,"well, don't blame me if your soul goes into a rage,"
You groaned,"ugh, Fine! Let me get my things, wait a little bit. "
He smirked."I'll be right here, waiting for you"
[2345]
"What do you mean?" Barbatos asked.
"You went to convince Mc to come back here, I saw you left" Diavolo pressed,
The brothers froze upon hearing that, their faces fell when they heard your name. Your name was like a taboo, something that shouldn't be said, something that should only be kept to themselves.
Barbatos grabbed his head, "I wasn't in the human realm..." and closed his eyes.
"Where were you?" Lucifer asked, his voice stern.
"The Abyss".
Silence filled the air. The Abyss. The one place that every Devildom citizen would hate to go. Just the thought of it made them sick. It was the heaviest punishment in the Devildom. The hellish Hell. The second Hell. The Satan's Abyss.
It was filled to the brim with unsettled souls, criminals, poisons, deadly ashes, pitch black fire, you couldn't even walk straight if you try. No one. No one would ever, go there on their own.
So why was Barbatos there?
"H-how?" Diavolo asked.
"I don't know, I can't remember" He said,staring straight at Diavolo, letting him see the sincerity in his eyes. Diavolo threw Solomon a look, Solomon ran outside immediately.
[2345]
You took a deep breath, walking behind Barbatos as he lead the way, he decided to open the portal back to Devildom somewhere far so suspicions wouldn't rise. You couldn't help but to feel a bit scared.
Your breath were starting to get ragged, anxiety was rising as you took one step after the other. Your intuitions kept telling you to turn back. But you couldn't help but felt scared that you won't see them again if you die.
'This feels wrong'
Barbatos was quiet the entire time. The steps he took were heavy, almost calculated. You could feel goosebumps all over you, your head started to hurt, you could not bear to take another step,
"Wait." You said. Barbatos sighed and turned around."what is it this time?"
"Can we go back? I don't feel well," you said softly, rubbing your right hand over your left elbow.
"We've come too far. So, no." He said,
"Why are you so different now? Did something happened after I left?" You decided to ask.
He walked towards you and grabbed your arm. "Yes. You ruined my life, you ruined everyone's life,"
He pulled you along, you tried to pull back your arm but it was too tight.
"Hey, that hurts!"
"I don't care" he replied. You kept tugging your arm away but he wasn't budging at all.
"Come on, don't waste my time." He said through gritted teeth.
"No! I don't want to!" You shouted but he was way stronger than you, his grip were so tight. You could feel your blood circulation stopping by the seconds
[2358]
His eyes were glowing, your surrounding started to get darker, you looked around and realized you were no longer on the streets, you were in a forest. Deep inside the forest.
However, the trees were dead and dried, there were no signs of life, not even a bug could be seen. It was dark. It was creepy, It was cold. It was terrifying.
You could feel your body shake, "I wanna go back, please," you whispered, genuinely scared, you felt so weak.
You felt exactly how you felt when you met Ayla . You hated it. But as of this moment, you don't have any power to go against Barbatos. Your pacts with the demons were broken long ago.
He grabbed your shoulders and gripped them. "I said no!" His eyes glow red. His tone was dripping in wrath. Your eyes widen. Your breath stopped.
You could feel the ground shaking, your surrounding started to get hotter. The trees started catching fire, smoke rises, causing your eyes to sting.
You looked down when you felt your feet burning, You saw a huge portal on the forest floor, forming right under your feet. You gasped as Tears welled up in your eyes, You couldn't run, even if you did, you won't make it. You didn't know where you were. You wouldn't know where to go.
"You..you're not Barbatos" you cried out,horrified looking into his red eyes
Barbatos eyes are green.
[0000]
"Too late" taking his hands off you,
You fell.

Continuing from Part 1
Demon King adopts human and declares them co-ruler of Devildom
Tumblr media
Demon King: Ah we meet again, little MC. Have you had a good week?
MC: No sir, I have not.
Demon King: How so? I noticed Diavolo's work finished significantly faster once you gave him a hand. And the demons seem to love a lot of the human world customs you've introduced!
MC: Your majesty, I have some questions for-
Demon King: MC, you're my child now. I shall answer to nothing more than Father.
MC: I- *sighs* Father I have some questions for you while you're here.
Demon King: My my hasn't Diavolo walked you through everything? Diavolo, you haven't been cooperating with your new family? What a shame.
Diavolo: No Father it's not-
MC: STOP TALKING TO HIM LIKE THAT!
Diavolo: MC!! *Stands in front of you* I'm sorry Father, they didn't mean that.
Demon King: ......
MC: No I did mean that. Barbatos please take Diavolo and yourself away for a while.
Barbatos: ....as you wish Master MC. Come Young Master we must go.
Diavolo: Barbatos what are you doing!? We can't leave MC alone in there! Let me go at once!
Barbatos: MC requested me to keep you safe, Master. I can't deny it.
MC: I simply don't see how a competent ruler as yourself could choose a random human who has only been here a year to suddenly rule a whole kingdom.
Demon King: ....
MC: I'm only an ordinary human whose only been here for a YEAR. I know next to nothing of your customs and traditions or ROYALTY. I've lived a measly few decades compared everyone here. And Diavolo has been a revered prince worthy of the throne.
Demon King: ....
MC: His childish and happy nature doesn't take away his sense of responsibility. It only makes him a better ruler of the people. And Barbatos and Lucifer are more than supportive of him!
Demon King: ....
MC: And what would the demons think if you officially announce that a human will preside over them?! And not even a powerful one like Solomon! Just an ordinary one like me!
Demon King: ...
MC: And I have a life back on Earth. I simply can't abandon everything and come back here. Before you decide to punish me, let me know if I have I said anything except the truth?
Demon King: ....
Demon King: AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AS EXPECTED FROM YOU, DEAR MC.
MC: You're laughing...?!
Demon King: Aren't you the same human who formed pacts with the Seven Avatars?
MC: Yes I am.
Demon King: Then I believe you are too far gone from ordinary, little one.
MC: ....
Demon King: And within a week you pointed out all the problems there might be with your ruling. You put your own problems at the very end and you're nothing but loyal and loving towards my son. Don't you see how you're the perfect fit for the throne too?
MC: ....
Demon King: Do you know why Diavolo had to bargain Lucifer's loyalty using his dying sister?
MC: Don't tell me...did you ask him to -
MC: That's only because you've been too harsh on him. He's determined to be kinder than you. He's determined not to treat anyone like you did to him.
Demon King: I had to. My son has always been far too trusting and naive. And someone like you who won the trust of the seven fallen angels and never abused it for your own benefit - I couldn't think of a better person to be by Diavolo's side on the throne.
Demon King: And you and Barbatos are the only two beings who saw that in him. As for your human world - you can stay there. You only need come down here as you please for now. Afterall when you're done with your mortal life, you'll be here for eternity.
MC: ....What makes you so sure I won't be accepted into the Celestial realm?
Demon King: Oh I'm sure they'll want you up there. But I know you'll choose to be down here instead. You won't forgive them because you know what they did to the Seven avatars and your very own ancestor.
MC: .....
Demon King: Think it over, little one. I'll give you as much time as you need.
Demon King: You seem disappointed Diavolo. And yet you were the one who were keen on making MC stay here in Devildom with you? You said it yourself they were fit to rule this kingdom.
Diavolo: Of course Father.
Demon King: Then what's with the overwhelming sadness in your posture?
Diavolo: I was planning to give them command through marriage.
Demon King: Oh....oh no... son you should have told me you had a crush-
Diavolo: I was going to before you decided to announce them as my SIBLING.
Demon King: Well, um Barbatos.
Barbatos: Yes Master.
Demon King: Is it considered rude to un-adopt a child in order to marry them to your own son in the human world?
Barbatos: I'm certain some will find it strange. But our MC will understand.
Demon King: Oh my wife would have made me sleep in the garden tonight if she were here.

<- Chap 4 ll
Tumblr media
"Are you sure you shouldn't just stay at the house today?" Solomon said on the phone. "Things are already getting heated as it is."
"Has someone come to threaten you yet?" You brushed out your hair nonchalantly, admiring your horns. How are they going to react to it? Their horrified faces will be worth the wait.
"Actually you know what? You're right. I want to stick around today. See what's been happening. In fact, you should come too, Solomon."
You could hear him smirk. Even he couldn't pass up an opportunity to witness the brothers' shenanigans.
"I'll be there shortly." He hung up and you tossed the phone and walked to the common room.
"MC! You're home today?!" Mammon wiggled around, suspended upside down in the air. "Help me down will ya?"
You didn't say a word. You simply stared at him. Staring as if you're suprised how he ended up there. Do you recognise this stare, Mammon?
"Oi MC?! Can you not hear me?! Oi!" Mammon suddenly felt the ropes on him grow tighter, pulling him higher. "Shit, what did Lucifer do to these?! MC seriously can you loosen these up?"
You stood there idly, your eyes never leaving his. Mammon felt an odd sense of dread. Did your eyes always look like that? "MC..."
"Oh don't bother helping him, MC! He really crossed his limits this time! He stole from all of us at once! Even you, MC!"
You turned around to see Asmo walk in. He draped his arms around you and pulled you away from his brother.
"I didn't take shit! And you found those things where they were supposed to be just a day later! Why won't you believe me?!"
Mammon's ropes came loose all at once and then ripped into shreds. He fell comically on the floor and rubbed his dizzy head.
"You should go sit down, Mammon." You helped him off the floor. He tilted his head back and closed his eyes, instantly asleep.
"What reason is there to suspect him if the stolen things were found, Asmo?" You turned your eyes towards the younger brother.
"Well maybe it's to incur praises and rewards! It's Mammon after all, what else can we expect?! You should have seen Levi, he summoned Lotan cause his favourite Ruri figure had gone missing!" Asmo waved his hand around dismissively.
"If we don't know what actually happened, then there is a probability", you put a hand tenderly on his face, "that you simply misplaced those things and blamed your own forgetfulness on Mammon too, isn't that right?"
Asmo felt bashful at your sudden proximity and leaned in even closer. "Oh MC, you know me too well to doubt me like this!"
"Then you wouldn't mind if I break your head in half and take a peek at your memories inside?"
Asmo's eyes widened. He heard your voice loud and clear in his head...yet your lips didn't move. You hadn't said a thing.
You simply nodded and moved away. And yet Asmo felt a burning chill at the roots of his hair. Like a sharp tug, threatening to rip his skin off his skull. It was only once - yet it lingered.
"Ahhhhh!" Asmo's squealed and fell back on the couch, rapidly scratching at his scalp, his long nails surely scraping parts of it off.
"Itchy is it? I'll help." You sank your fingers in his hair and his eyes closed on his own, his head lulling to the side, right on Mammon's shoulder.
"So this is the real reason you asked me to keep you away." Solomon clicked his tongue looking at the sleeping demons. "Because you can barely help your rage around them."
"Just do what you need to do, please." You clenched your fists and walked back towards the staircase.
"Your magical traces are all over the place. You really did a number on them, MC."
"I merely returned the favors I owed them." You said softly. "Come to my room after you're done. I'll show you how I did it."
Solomon nodded and cast his memory spells on them. When they'd wake up - it would all be a faraway dream, too absurd to be true.
"Satan, you're here." Simeon greeted him in Diavolo's garden.
"Indeed. I heard MC made an amazing suggestion for the school play. Are you writing the script for it?" Satan asked, taking an empty seat.
"Quite the opposite actually. We are simply writing prompts." Diavolo answered.
"Prompts? What is this play even about?" Satan asked.
Barbatos put down his cup. "An improv based on the story of the House of Lamentation."

☞ Part 1
—————————————————————————
Mammon felt lonely.
He felt hurt and betrayed by his brothers. They didn't stand up for him when others mocked him. Heck, they joined in! And the reason why all of this was happening to him was his little brother.
Mammon couldn't understand why he was treated so poorly. His actions are a consequence of his sin, which he can't really control.
His brothers were worse than him at controlling their sins, so why was he the scum?
Why only him?
Was it because he loved his brothers too much that he allowed them to treat him like that? Or is he just a meek coward who can't stand up for himself?
Mammon knows.
He was not weak. He would've never let anyone treat him like that, ever. But after centuries of constant abuse and mistreatment from his brothers, Mammon had slowly started to believe their words.
His self-esteem, pride, confidence, everything had been crushed. And now those insults had become whispers in his head. Mammon believed them. He took every insult to his heart, and he remembered them.
The slander had branded itself on his mind, and Mammon was no longer in control. His thoughts and emotions had gone haywire, making Mammon a prey of the vicious voices inside his head.
Even when he was alone, the insults never stopped.
Mammon was walking on the edge of his sanity.

—————————————————————————
It was 7 in the morning, and everyone was seated at the dining table for breakfast.
"Mammon, I was informed that you've been missing most of your classes." Lucifer looked pointedly at Mammon.
It had been three days since that video of Mammon went viral, and he had been hiding and avoiding everyone to save himself from all the bullying, and humiliation.
Satan sighed hearing Lucifer's question, shaking his head in disappointment, "Mammon, you never learn your lesson do you?"
Mammon kept quiet, not bothering to answer Lucifer or Satan. He didn't want to speak to them, especially Lucifer. They were all hypocrites, Mammon had begun understanding that better now.
"Aww, poor Mammon," Asmo snickered. "He's even gone deaf now."
"Shut up, Asmo! Nobody was even talking to ya."
Mammon mumbled irritatedly, not having enough courage to say it out loud. He was the most pissed at Asmo, after all, he was the cause of all this. Mammon had always been aware that Asmo never really liked him, but this time he had crossed the line.
Mammon wasn't sure if he'll ever be able to forgive him.
Unfortunately for Mammon, Asmo had heard him and he was going to turn this into a brawl.
"What? Are you seriously mad at me?" Asmo asked, looking surprised. "It was just a harmless prank, Mammon."
Mammon's head snapped towards Asmo, disbelief etched onto his face.
JUST a harmless prank?
"Mammon you should stop overreacting. You're behaving like that annoying side antagonist from the anime called - 'Money Is Everything In This World, But Luckily I'm An Eldorado," Levi laughed.
"This is just a phase, Mammon. You should stop acting so stupid and get over it." Belphie scoffed, resting his head on the table.
Beel glanced uneasily at Mammon. "You guys should stop now." He noticed how Mammon hadn't touched his food yet, and he was starting to get a little worried.
Mammon hadn't eaten properly these past few days, and that didn't go unnoticed by Beel.
"You didn't answer me, Mammon. Why have you been missing your classes?" Lucifer fumed. Haven't you humiliated yourself enough? Your grades are pathetic, and they keep getting worse each time. You'll ruin Lord Diavolo's reputation blah blah blah blah......"
Mammon stopped listening, and Lucifer's lecture faded into the background. Head hanging down, tears brimming his eyes, Mammon stared wide-eyed at his lap.
He couldn't believe it. He didn't want to believe it.
How could his brother belittle his feelings and problems so casually? Did they really not love him or care anymore?
He has been getting nightmares, there were hateful voices in his head, nobody wanted to talk to him anymore, he has no money left, and he was all alone.
SO lonely, that he was thinking about ending his own life.
He found it difficult to breathe in public, always feeling disgusting stares directed at him. It made him shiver, and he knew he was developing a fear of people and crowds.
Mammon was barely hanging on a thread, and this was JUST A PHASE to his brothers?
"You're overreacting."
"Stupid."
"Get over it."
"Annoying."
"You'll ruin our reputation."
The voices in his head kept getting louder, Mammon felt his head spin. He felt like four walls were closing on him, and it was becoming tougher to breathe.
"Stop it," Mammon hiccuped, clutching his head. He wanted to leave.
Mammon was going to leave.
Swallowing the lump in his throat, wiping his watery eyes hastily, Mammon got up suddenly, causing his chair to tumble.
Lucifer who had still been talking stopped to glare at Mammon for interrupting. Even Belphie who had fallen asleep by now, opened his left eye to look at Mammon.
"Y'all are right," Mammon breathed. "I'm a fucking nuisance and I don't wanna annoy anybody with my pathetic presence anymore. I won't eat with y'all anymore and just stay in my room. So PLEASE, please I’m beggin’ y’all, just leave me alone.”
With that Mammon stormed out of the dining room, leaving his wide-eyed brothers speechless.
"Come back, Mammon. Don't you dare leave when I'm talking! You are not allowed to go, Mammon. Sit down!" Lucifer yelled after mammon, his eyes burning in fury.
For once Mammon didn't feel scared or compelled to obey Lucifer.
It was the last straw.

"Ah, Mammon! Come in, come in. I've been waiting for you." Diavolo smiled warmly at him.
Mammon hesitated before allowing himself to follow the butler inside Diavolo's office in RAD. Barbatos guided him to the guest couch, though Mammon chose to go to the Prince's desk, and dropped on his knees in front of him.
"Please, Lord Diavolo, I'm beggin' ya. Please allow me to access the human world." Mammon pleaded, folding his hands together.
Mammon had made up his mind before coming here. He would do anything, ANYTHING, to get Diavolo to agree to let him go to the human world. Mammon was ready to become a servant for him or pledge his loyalty to Diavolo. He was willing to go as far as selling his soul.
He just wanted to end everything, and it had to be done in the human world.
"Mammon!" Diavolo jumped in surprise, rushing towards him. "Please get up," Diavolo urged, grabbing Mammon's shoulders, and helping him get up.
Barbatos who was surprised too hurried to aid his lord. If anyone would’ve stared closely, they would’ve seen the sadness in the stoic butler's eyes, as he stared at Mammon’s back.
"I grant you the permission to enter the human world, but first you need to tell me why you want to go, and for how long," Diavolo questioned.
Diavolo’s words were both a relief and a source of panic Mammon.
"Ahahaha ya see," Mammon laughed nervously. "I just wanted to try modeling in the human world too. I need a lil' bit of extra money to repay some of my debts y'know."
That wasn't the entire truth but that wasn’t a lie either. Mammon had decided to pay back all the money he owed to everybody, before he took his final breath.
He lived like a scumbag, but he didn't want to die a scumbag.
"Is that all?"
Diavolo looked skeptical after hearing Mammon's answer, and so did Barbatos.
"So I am assuming today is not the only day you want to go," Barbatos asked.
"Yup," Mammon confirmed.
"What about RAD?"
"I'll manage. I promise."
"Is there any other reason why you are going?"'
"Huh? What are ya talkin' bout," Mammon pretended to be confused.
"Is modeling the only reason for your trip to the human world?"
"Ahahahaha, of course, I'm only goin' for modeling. What else will I do in the borin' human world among stupid ol' humans," Mammon lied, forcing a fake laugh.
Diavolo narrowed his eyes before a large smile enveloped his features. "Alright, Mammon. I'll have Barbatos open a portal, in the meantime why don't have some tea with us. Also, you can stop by whenever you want to visit the human world, Barbatos will help." Diavolo assured.
"Thank you, Lord Diavolo." Mammon beamed.
Picking up his bag which was still on the floor, Mammon made his way outside, not leaving before flashing a genuine smile at the duo.
Diavolo's expression hardened as soon the door closed behind Mammon. "It seems that matters are worse than we thought."
"Yes, it seems so," the butler agreed. "I doubt he approached Lucifer for permission."
"Indeed. Barbatos?."
"Yes, my lord."
"I want you to check the future," Diavolo commanded. "I'm worried about Mammon. He was lying when he said he's going to the human world only for modeling."

—————————————————————————
Mammon took a deep breath, as he stood on the railing of the bridge.
He had just gotten back from paying his last debtor after getting done with his modeling jobs. It had been two weeks since Mammon started modeling in the human world.
He had earned enough to repay every debt he owed. Since Mammon was so handsome, he never had any trouble getting jobs in the human world.
He would return to devildom when he would be done with his jobs in the human world and then go back to HOL. For those two weeks, he attended all classes daily and even ate with his brothers a few times (only because beel insisted).
Mammon pretended to be fine. And boy was he an expert at pretending
He acted goofy and happy like he used, even accepted punishments from his Lucifer, spoke normally with all his brothers, and ignored every insult thrown at him.
Deep down, Mammon was always conscious of the fact that his time was nearing, aware that he didn’t have very long to live.
And somehow that had given Mammon the strength to endure everything.
Now those hellish and agonizingly long two weeks were finally over, and here Mammon was, standing on the bridge located in the town where Lilith had died as a human.
The reason why Mammon chose the human world as his last destination, was because he wished to depart from the same place his baby sister took her last breath.
His last dying wish was to meet Lilith before his soul was sent to the corner of hell where no demon would ever want to go.
But that was the price he was gonna pay for killing himself. He’s a demon and he can’t die easily, so Mammon had thought of another way.
He was gonna jump from this bridge, and rip his heart out while falling.
It was guaranteed he would die almost instantly if his heart is ripped out, and although that would be very painful, Mammon knew that was the only choice he had.
Mammon had tried cutting himself and tried to bleed to death, but he only managed to pass out for a few hours, waking up later to find his magic had stopped the excessive bleeding. He even tried to find poison pills but he was shooed away from everywhere. Then he attempted to drown himself and even hang himself, but each time his defensive magic interfered and saved Mammon from dying.
It took Mammon 8 days of searching in human libraries to finally find a book that explained how a demon could die. And he confirmed what was written, by searching through Satan’s books about the same.
Finally the day, the hour was here.
It was a full moon, and Mammon’s powers were at their highest. He was already at the bridge and he was readying to release his claws.
Oddly enough, Mammon felt at peace.
He was sad, yes, but more than that Mammon was happy. He was going to be free.
Mammon was finally going to be free!
With a tranquil smile on his face, Mammon stepped closer to the edge and raised his hands.
Goodbye brothers. I hope y’all will be happier without me.
“NO!! STOP!!” Somebody screamed, and Mammon felt two hands grab his jacket, pulling him off the railing.
Mammon closed his eyes and groaned loudly as he fell, feeling an immense amount of anger bubble inside him.
WHO DARED TO STOP HIM?!
Ready to attack Mammon open his eyes to meet an unfamiliar pair of eyes, that were full of desperation.
“Please,” she whimpered, tightening her hold on Mammon’s arm. “Please don’t do it.”

YAYAY FINALLY DONE WITH PART TWO!!
This was really long and intense, and because I wrote this so fast, it is not proofread. So I apologize if it's disappointing.
Originally I was going to give Mammon a sad ending, but our lovely boy Mams is too precious and I couldn't do that to him in my very first fic.
So expect more fluff in the following chapters, because Mammon will get the love and support he deserves.
Reblogs and comments are appreciated. Please let me know your thoughts on how you feel about this.

Holy shit, finally.
I'm the one who's seriously loosing their shit skdbsksb
U & Me Pt. 5
Holy crap. The last time chapter 4 was up was back in January. Big oops.
Hello everyone! Sorry for the long wait, and thank you for your patience. Have a long one for the long wait, not proofread as per usual. Also, it took me so long to make references for Angel, so I have included both male and female versions of them with Archemond’s reference sheet. x)
A/N: This chapter will not include Mammon and MC until the next chapter.  I had originally had a meet the parents plot with MC and Mammon, but I decided to scrap that and just have it as a mention in the next chapter so that I can flesh out Angel and their part in the story. Angel is still gender neutral, so I write them as master/mistress or warlock/witch.
Archemond/Angel/Brimmond reference
CW: Angst, death threats, implied torture and murder, minor cursing
