To celebrate the festive Christmas season, Colby Cheddar and her pals are ready to perform a special rendition of "Deck the Halls". Made using RPG Maker VX ACE, Krita, LMMS over the course of 3 days.
Since today marks the 10th anniversary of one of my favorite video games of all time, Rayman Legends, I figured that I'd celebrate with this awesome fanart that I made myself.
Half alpaca, half axolotl, half spider, full bizarro monstrosity.
It was a peaceful day for Dr. Dodo who was minding his own business when he heard someone crying in the distance. It was his lovely assistant Masumi-tan who was crying because she needed a new friend to play with (even though she was responsible for destroying her other pals).
And so, Dr. Dodo went over to his lab to create a new buddy for the adorable catgirl. He took an alpaca, a spider, and an axolotl and put them into a special machine that was capable of creating unique and bizarre combinations. As soon as the mutation process was finished, out came a horrifying but fluffy freak of nature whose unusual quirks defies all matters of description, (even by the mad dodo’s own standards.)
Meanwhile, Masumi-tan was crying so much that she formed a giant ocean when all of a sudden, she heard a strange roar that piqued her curiosity. When she came over outside the lab which was where the noise was, the pink-haired catgirl stood face to face with the monstrous Alpaxolider. It was the most adorable creature that she ever saw in her entire life. And so, Masumi-tan has finally earned a new friend to play with for a very long time.*
*To be honest with you, I’d give that strange creature a week before that catgirl cries herself another flood.
My entry for the recent Monthly Art Challenge on Krita-Artists:
Just to give you an idea how my Krita art has evolved over the years, here are the model sheets that I made for my own original character, Rubia Rabbit.
[image 1](2018) - When I first created Rubia, she used to be a human girl with a bunny hoodie, but she had to be redesigned to look more like a regular bunnygirl so that she could fit in with the rest of my characters.
[image 2](2019) - Here is where Rubia is starting to slowly starting to resemble her current design.
[image 3](2021) - An updated model sheet with plenty of wacky expressions and poses.
[image 4](2022) - One year later, I gave Rubia a more vibrant color palette and a new set of wacky expressive eyes to match.
[image 5] (2023) - Recent model sheet where Rubia’s screwball personality is finally pushed to her absolute limits.
Here is the illustration that I’ve made for Cheddar Con Carne: Colby’s ODDyssey, an indie game that I’ve been working on in my spare time for the past couple years.
A sneak preview of a short animation that I’ve recently been working on. I thought about making some eyecatches between chapters of my game, mostly to give the feeling that you’re playing an interactive surreal comedy anime.
