a/n: this one was a bit confusing to write lol but I think it turned out alright. it’s written from the perspective of yoosungs route 

warnings: brief mentions of Rika’s apparent “suicide”

-sunlight patch mod alex

-Yoosungs clear hatred for V always left you with a stomachache and not knowing what to say, while you loved this dorky blonde haired boy, he was in the wrong here, and even though you knew your best friend wasn’t perfect, you knew he hadn’t driven Rika to kill herself, nor did he “not care” about the death of his fiance 

-a lot of explaining to Yoosung that V had his own way of dealing with grief, and he shouldn’t put everyone to the same standard of how different people show emotion

-you were possibly the only person he wont get into an active argument with: he valued your opinion even though in your eyes you were wrong

-goes through a period of time where he believes you’re plotting with V against him, but gets quickly put straight by Zen, who stands up for you and calls him out

-even after his issues with V subside, his residual feelings get recycled into a twinge of jealousy 

-maybe more than a twinge

-V took his cousin and was also best friends with his significant other? this man was everywhere, and it took everything in him to not bring it up constantly

-every once in a while those feelings of jealousy would erupt, but after a while he started to learn how to deal with it, if nothing else then for respect for you 

-encouraging him to go to therapy

-making him see that V has his own ways of dealing with things, and his apologies were true

-eventually managing to get both V and yoosung in the same room having dinner with the rest of the RFA without him imploding

- The time between routes was the only time you could say goodbye 

- “Does it ever make you upset?” 

- “Does what?”

- “That this is a game. That none of this is real. That...” she trailed off, her gaze fixing itself to the ground under her, fingers absentmindedly pulling at long strands of grass as she pushed herself to continue, “that you were made for me, for the player, for entertainment.”

- At this, he raised his head, looking directly at the girl across from him. He considered her question for a second before a small smile made its way onto his face, catching her eye.

- “Hey. Someone made me, put so much work into crafting me in a way where I could make you smile every time we meet. In some way, I’m your love letter from the universe, and it’s an honor being in love with you,” he took MC’s hands, “Every reset.”

- At this her frown relaxed, her fingers instinctively interlacing with his.

- He knew he could never know if what he loved was real, not the avatar in front of him at least. The cascade of auburn hairs falling over pale digitally smooth skin... he knew that it wasn’t her. Even as he held her, he knew that it was only temporary, and that the short breath of air he was allowed would soon be ripped away from him.

- He shifted. He could never admit to the pain the distance brought, that at even such close proximity the never-ending ache continued. Maybe during this life they had been dealt the bad hand.. maybe in another life the distance wouldn't be so great. 

- “But...do you.. do you love me in other dimensions too?” he asked shyly.

- She smiled at the boy in front of her fondly, her face brightening up instantly. “How could I say no to any version of you?”

- “Do you?” he insisted. 

- MC’s smile didn't falter. “I always love you.”

Jumin

-it doesn’t register with him at first

-he’s unsettled but doesn’t make a big fuss out of it 

-refuses to call you Jumin

-perhaps Han, but that leads into uncomfortable Han Solo jokes from Seven 

-he’d rather just not address you by your name

-honestly is weirded out by it, but will never admit it

-crinkles his nose when he hears someone refer to you by name

Jaehee

-she think’s it’s pretty neat that you have the same name...at first

-a twinge of disappointment that finally there’s a new female member and she has the same name as her

-it honestly triggers some deep rooted abandonment issues for her

-sees herself as replaceable now that there's someone there with her exact name, someone who is clearly more popular with the boys and is taking up what Rika did

-no longer thinks it’s neat, please give her a hug

Yoosung

-think’s it’s so fun

-not much to say about it, but he gets very giggly when he hears someone call you by his name,, or your name technically

-his head shoots up any time someone says Yoosung, not knowing which one he’s referring to

-out of two people with the same name, he’s definitely the one who’d say “which one?!” first

Seven

-panic

-goes through all seven stages of grief,, he added a few stages

-at first think’s it’s a prank, then that you’re a secret operative sent to torment him, then finally after doing an extensive check on you realizes that.. no that’s ... just your name

-is sort of disappointed that you’re not something cooler, just a dude with the same name as him

-as his name isn’t well known in the chat at first, he’s incredibly uncomfortable suddenly having everyone saying it, and has to remind himself that it’s not him they're referring to

-once he gets more comfortable with it, he’s definitely one to make many “twin” jokes, including “the second unrelated twin” references 

-will call you everything except for Saeyoung, but as a joke, he resorts to inanimate objects at one point

Zen

-uncomfortable with it at first, he hasn't heard his real name in a while and having to address you as his old name was odd to say the least

-a lot of “how doesn't it feel to have the best name” jokes

- “sharing is caring, I must care about you a lot to let you have my name”

-it doesn’t bother him too much

- “it shows your parents had good taste when naming you” “I wasn’t named after you” “but they had good taste no?”

Choi Twins with an MC that’s Quiet In-Person

Saeyoung Choi

-in the chatroom you were always so chatty, never afraid to make jokes or be a major dork, often going along with Seven’s dumb bits, driving the other members crazy... but as with all things, appearances can be deceiving, and social anxiety was prone to creep up at the worst of times

-even with his galaxy level brain, Seven didn’t quite understand why you were so quiet any time you met with him in real life, why you clammed up and essentially put it on him to carry every conversation

-little did he know that as annoying as he may have found it, your own nerves were making you do circles in your mind, and every word you spoke felt like it had to be calculated

-eventually would approach you about it, worried that he was doing something wrong or making you uncomfortable

-after explaining that you were just nervous to talk to him, and hiding behind a screen was easier in letting you be yourself he just chuckles, making self depracating jokes about himself in hopes of making you laugh

-man just wants you to be happy and comfortable

-would bring an actual screen and put it between the two of you when you hung out alone just to annoy you, and it was through that which he hoped you'd open up more, by jokingly “annoying” you, a shitty plan in hindsight but alas

-wouldn’t mind carrying conversations, would pay more attention and purposefully ask open ended questions and make sure you had time to speak

Saeran Choi

-hm

-concerned

-take the anxiety that Seven felt about being afraid he’d done something wrong and multiply it by 1,000

-he’s similar too though in being shyer in person, which causes a bit of an issue in the long silences that follow the two of you around wherever you go

-after talking it out with his brother he decides to confront you about it, if nothing else just to put his mind to rest 

-reassuring him that he’d done nothing wrong was by far the most helpful, and the back and forth conversation that followed where you and him quietly giggled and bonded over being introverts allowed you to understand each other better

-not very proactive, would let you go at your own pace when it comes to opening up, and doesn't mind the long silences, instead he starts to find peace in them

-that being said, he’s elated when you get a burst of courage to talk more, is absolutely in love with hearing you talk

-gets incredibly blushy when he thinks about the fact that he’s the one making you nervous but that anxiety isn’t caused by something negative. he honestly feels the same most of the time towards you, texting is incredibly different than being in person and he can recognize that

Your husband observed you while you were sleeping and stroked your face. 

He noticed that a lot of times you wanted to say something but instead stayed silent. 

He was getting worried, why would you behave like that? 

There was no need for you to be like that, was there? 

The next day the two of you were going on a business party. 

You hated these events because you felt like a coward. 

You wanted to talk to them but whenever you tried you were either too quietly or too softly. You didn’t want to trouble them just because of your past. 

,,Gosh, woman. Speak up or shut up.“ an annoyed, drunk guest snapped. 

He made you shiver and look down. 

But before you could look at your feet Jumin took your chin and pressed your face up. 

,,Congratulations, we won’t have any deals, Mr. Pyo. My wife is allowed to talk whenever and however she wants.“ he told him and took your hand to step out. 

,,Tell me, my love. Why don’t you talk? I know, I can see that you would like to speak up. Why don’t you do so?“ he asked you and stroked your trembling hand. 

,,Everyone, especially my parents always told me to shut up…“ you mumbled quietly. 

,,Mc….I will never let you shut up. And if someone does I will make sure that they regret it deeply…“ Jumin promised and hugged you. 

Zen 

Your boyfriend loved your voice. 

Even through you didn’t speak often, he loved your voice whenever you spoke up. 

But he was a bit troubled that you didn’t talk much. 

Were you perhaps troubled with him? 

Did you feel uncomfortable with him? 

Zen wanted to ask you when he noticed that you stood in a circle with the make up artists. 

They were talking about something but you simply smiled. 

You didn’t agree or disagree. 

Zen didn‘t like that since they also provoked you. 

But you didn’t say anything. 

When you saw him you quickly rushed to him. 

,,Princess, are you alright?“ he asked you. 

You just nodded. 

Zenny stepped back in order to see you better. 

,,Mc, talk with me….why are you always quiet? Don’t you like to talk? Do you feel uncomfortable?“ Zen asked you. 

Out of the blue you began to sob. 

Zen hugged you and while doing so, you whispered, that everyone told you to shut up while growing up. 

Zen felt guilty by knowing this and with the time he tried to make you talk often in order to show you that he wanted you to speak more. 

Yoosung 

Today the two of you wanted to visit your parents. 

Yoosung was pretty relaxed since he really liked them but you on the other side didn’t seem really happy. 

But like always you didn’t say much and he didn’t want to make you unsure. 

When the two of you came there, you didn’t even smile like always. 

Yoosung asked you something before your mother could welcome the two of you and so when you wanted to give him a response, your mother told you to shut up. 

Yoosung was surprised by that. 

You immediately stayed silent. 

When your mother went out for a moment your husband asked you what happened.

,,Nothing, Yoosung. It was always like this.’’ you softly told him and smiled. 

He quickly understood, so this was why you never talked much. 

The next time your mother wanted to tell him something he glared at her and told her to shut up. 

,,Oh? You’re surprised, right? You traumatized her! How does it feel?! Awful, right?’’ Yoosung snapped and took your hand. 

He assured you that the two of you didn’t need to meet your parents if you felt bad by that. 

And so Yoosung helped you to talk a bit more and to forget about your past. 

Jaehee 

,,Ohh! It’s you, Mc! Isn’t it!’’ a group of girls began to laugh as they saw you in the shop you shared with your beloved girlfriend, Jaehee. 

You looked at them and nodded. 

Jaehee observed you. 

She was a bit reviled that she wasn’t the only person who didn’t get answers from you. 

,,Oh, so, this is your babe? Tell us!’’ A girl giggled and made you smile a bit. 

You softly and quietly began to talk how you meet Jaehee but at some point another girl began to laugh and told you to shut up and instead bring some coffee. 

,,Nothing changed from back then huh? Now, pssst! And bring me a cake.’’ someone else laughed. 

Jaehee was outraged. 

How could they treat you like that?  

,,Mc! They….were so stupid! Why didn’t you say something?!’’ she asked you. 

,,Jaehee, it was always like that. Whenever I wanted to tell them something, they told me to shut up. I won’t hide the fact that I wasn’t happy that they asked me something but I already knew that they would tell me to shut up, so….’’ 

Your love of your life couldn’t beliefe what you just told her. 

She simply took you hand and walked to the women. 

,,Out of our shop. My girlfriend is the chef and is allowed to talk as much as she wants so, if you can’t understand or accept her beautiful voice, get out.’’ 

,,I love youuu…’’ you mumbled quietly and hugged her. 

Saeyoung 

Well, it truly wasn’t the best way to find out abut your hurtful past. 

You were telling something to Saeran at that time and Saeyoung had to concentrate on something. 

And so, even though he loved your soft vice, he told you guys to shut up. 

You horrified looked up. 

Since you lived with the twins you felt better, you wantedto talk more and gave your best. 

But this hurt you deeply and since then you never talked again. 

,,Oi, idiot. I think there’s something wrong with her.’’ Saeran snapped as he ate his ice cream. 

Now that his brother told him, he noticed too. 

,,My 606, why aren’t you talking anymore?’’ he mumbled and digged his head into your neck. 

,,You told me to shut up.’’ you mumbled and began to cry. 

Your reaction surprised him, he didn’t expect that. 

You continued and told him, that your family never allowed you to speak. 

And if you still said something, they always told you to shut up. 

Your friends did the same. They were probably annoyed by you. You learned from that and never talked again without a person asking you something. 

Saeyoung listened to your story, his mouth stayed open in shock. 

,,I’m sorry. I didn’t meant it like that. I love you. I love your voice, your talking, everything. So pease, please don’t stop to talk. Talk to us. Please.’’ 

Saeran 

The two of you watched the sun set on the balcony. 

You moved from Jumin’s mansion and wanted to see something else for the time being. 

The two of you were holding each others hand. 

None of you dared to destroy the moment. 

,,You know…’’ you mumbled then. 

Saeran looked at you. 

It was quite rare that you spoke from alone. Normally your would only talk when he asked you something. 

He was quite happy about that and so he stayed silent and listened to you. 

,,I never talk much. And I’m sorry about that. But the reason is that in the past my parents, my whole family and friends always told me to shut up. I never talked much. And so, today I talk quietly and softly. I’m sorry if I troubled you wth that.’’ you told him and looked at him. 

He was still holding your hand and now he was holding it even stronger. 

,,You don’t need to worry, take your time. But I really wish, that you would talk more. I know that you want to. And I won’t hold you back, so please do.’’ 

Thanks to his words you found courage to talk more. After all today was your first step. 

Jihyun 

,,That’s why…’’ he mumbled after you told him. 

In the evening the two of you were talking about families and friends and after he told you about his past you decided to told him yours too. 

He was hurt to find out about you because you were a really nice girl who always smiled. 

You didn’t deserve to stay silent. 

He wanted to hear your more. 

After all for him your voice was like a lovely melody. 

But luckily he could change you like you changed him. 

With the time you learned that not everyone shared your friend’s opinion. 

On the other side, even your little daughter loved your voice and wanted to listen to you more. 

You thought that you were really a lucky woman, to have so many lovely people around you. 

Jihyun loved your voice, you still talked softly and quietly but that was a part of you that he didn’t want to change. 

Instead he wanted you to stay the way you were and feel comfortable.

I recently started writing a whole au and fic for this game as I became interested in it again and I was afraid I was the only one still writing lmao.
