2024 mar 23 // I want to participate in Margarete Miller’s give away challenge to hopefully win her Collage Weekly Planner, and so I’ve created a collage and will post it here so that I can send her the link for my contribution.
So, we are to include the 6 items listed below, in our collages:
And here’s a scanned version of my collage:
I decided to make the collage in art journal style.
I don’t know how I ended up choosing the 1st year anniversary for the celebration part, but here we are and so most of this collage is dedicated for this particular celebration.
The gemstone for the 1st year wedding anniversary is gold:
2024 mar 12 // I’m a member of the Vintage & Collage Club and for this month’s project the theme was Library Pockets. This was really fun to play around with and so I made two library pockets with cards, I even made a cover to hold the pockets (bought the cover, a digital printable, from VibeofVintage at Ko-Fi).
2023 mar 6 // I bought a couple of new metal cutting dies and made this mini folder:
I still don’t know what to do with the front page, so it’s blank for now. For the folder I used green cardstock which I sandpapered for that grungy look.
On the inside I added images of zeppelins which I created with the Bing image creator:
And here’s what comes after the zeppelins:
This was a fun project, inserted inbetween collages 😊
I’ve got these full month in-between-pages and thought I could have a little bit of fun with those. As I do really like to flip through magazines and cut out images that I find useful for collages, I thought that’s exactly what I’ll do for a moments relaxation and add those to the planner.
This is the page spread for January
And I’m half way through February
I found this cool Star Wars sticker (upper left corner), which changed the layout a bit.
2024 feb 8 // This next collage I made is for this weeks assignment, which was to include the following items:
When I read the assignment it made me think of a page in a travel journal. So I tried making this collage look as such, with Greece as the theme. So the ”object hung on a wall” is the very popular Greel symbol of the blue ”evil eye”. i also added some tiny photos from Paros.
I attached a vintage crocheted ribbon, to the photo of my husband, myself and our pug Darth. For the transportation part I chose an electric car that was built on Greece's island of Syros in the 1970s.
For the something sharp I picked a photo of cactuses that I took on the island of Paros.
I did have a form (bonus item) that I intended to add to the collage, but there was no space left 😄 Instead I prioritized the teeny tiny postcard (as well as the green ticket) just to emphasize the travel journal idea. This collage gave me a reason to use my die cut machine which was fun, all the green paper parts are die cuts.
