when sarah paulson said “i had a complicated home life, and my teachers were very dedicated to taking care of me in a particular way. and in doing so, i think i developed a very easy rapport with people older than myself”, i felt that deep in my soul

Hot take: the writers of criminal minds write stupid things sometimes...
The conversation Spencer and Cat have when she’s first brought to the BAU is kind of interesting to me.
On the one hand Spencer says “you sexually violated me in Mexico” which is WAY more explicit about that than we got in “Red Light” and it’s the only time that it has been acknowledged since.
The odd thing is they (and we) already know that didn’t happen because Lindsey never knew Cat was pregnant so Cat wouldn’t have asked Lindsey to assault him. So it just serves as springboard for a really uncomfortable conversation between the two of them which I guess is Cat’s jam but it’s odd Spencer brings it up unless he’s trying to bait her.Â
But the thing that really gets me is Cat’s ”boy who cried rape” comment. It sits really wrong with me as a line and as a concept. I can’t work out what point the writers were trying to make and I can’t articulate the exact reason why it leaves such a bad taste but it really does.

15x07 (second half of yesterday’s) had so much potential to make Emily gay still. Especially with the beginning when Garcia and Emily are talking about a tv show they both watch in which two girls confess their love (or something) and then they go all “ooohh do I really like Mendoza” like the writers had one job and they still fucked it up.
