TIPS FOR ALL YALL OUT OF TOWNERS PLANNING TO COME TO LA FOR THE SUPERBOWL.

(feel free to add to the list)

1. YES there is traffic everywhere! Literally everywhere!

2. If you are staying in the valley and need to go up the 405 hill, the far right lane moves faster than the fast lane. Don’t ask why it just does!

3. It cost money to get in the carpool lane on the 110frwy… but don’t trip the ticket you will get in the mail is like 75 cents with a $2.99 processing fee.

4. If you need to go down the 405 Hill don’t pump your breaks just take you foot of the gas and coast!

5. Even if it seems like a lot of traffic and the speed limit says 65 MPH still do your best to go 80, or get out the way.

6. The Game is in INGLEWOOD… don’t be fooled by the gentrification, it’s still the HOOD!!! don’t come out here trying to floss what you got with ya PPP LOANS…

7. There is no where to park… don’t rent a car, be prepared to take Uber…

8. If you do rent a car remember to get gas it’s almost $5 a gallon. (Again I suggest Uber)

9. The clubs/bars/lounges will be ridiculously priced, prepare to drop $30-60 to park if your lucky, & $100 to get in.

10. Don’t come out here with them deformed BBL’s you will get made fun of.

11. Everyone in LA has the Omarion so just accept it.

12. There are homeless people everywhere ALOT of them, 😔 don’t be alarmed when you see their apartment sized tents on the streets and freeways. Unfortunately those are the times we live in.

13. Don’t go site seeing In the hood, the movies and tv shows are real!!! It’s not as bad as it was but still just bc you see palm trees doesn’t mean you in a safe place to walk at night (or day) lol

14. Celebrities are gonna be everywhere especially in Beverly Hills… act like y’all got some sense pls… 

15. GO HOME!! We have enough people, don’t be looking around talking about “oh this apartment looks nice” NO IT DONT, it’s gonna cost you 3-4xs what your probably paying in your home state… GO HOME!

16. It’s perfectly ok to get a hotdog wrapped in bacon (alley dog), tacos, or corn off someone on the sidewalk… it taste the best when they don’t speak English… get you some good food!!!

17. Don’t roam around NO WHERE with flashy jewelry! Hoodlums probably hosting team meetings now on strategic ways to rob you!

Beautiful Nightmare

Last night I had a dream or do I call it a nightmare because honestly it really did scared me. I was in Vegas or what I thought to be a setting like Vegas. In a very tall building with windows all around so you are able to look down at all the people, the streets and things below you however in the building was packed with people, music blasting and lights. (Vegas setting) I was with my family but I was waiting to meet up with a friend. So I told my family I will wait for them in here, which was a smaller room few people but still windows looking out. Time passed in my dream and then my friend had shown up in the room. We talked for a bit but then I realized we were alone. No one else was in the room and it was dead quite. We walked out to what I guess was a lobby (just outside the room we were in) and not a soul was their either and again dead quite. I looked out the window and not one car was on the street, not one person was talk on the sidewalk. Outside was lifeless, it looked like a ghost town or the first episode off of the walking dead when Rick realizes he is the only survivor in his town. My dream quickly turns into a nightmare and I start freaking out. What happened, where is everyone. I get out my cell phone and frantically call my mom asking her where is she. It takes me a few tries to get ahold of her but when she finally answers she asks me where am I and my friend. I tell her we are in the same spot as before and how everyone is gone. She then ask me, did I hear the sirens, and I need to get out of their and take cover. There is a tornado coming this way and we need to take cover now. Because this is a nightmare, we are suddenly downstairs outside one street over in like this alleyway. We can't get a far as we want because we see the tornado and hear it coming. The wind is blowing paper, and trash everywhere. At this point everything in my nightmare is gray but I look over and there is this yellow cave looking cut on on the side of the build. Almost like a ramp where trucks would go to drop off shipment. My friend is trying to run farther yelling we need to keep going and I am yelling back, we don't have any time. We finally tuck away in this dusty yellow cave like truck loadout ramp, and huge gust of wind comes and I wake up.

Im my lifetime, I've had about 5 very vivid dreams or nightmare to the point where I can fully remember them... still till this day. However, I usually don't know what they mean. I don’t know what this one mean either but I do know where most of the elements came from.

1. The friend I meet up with and this Vegas setting. Well me and this friend are planning a Vegas trip. We should be going in the next week or so.

2. The air siren I don’t hear but everyone else hears. I actually did hear this sound last week when I was wine tasting with my family. When I heard it however, it was to alert locate volunteer firefighters that something has happened and the fire station could use their help. 

3. The tornado. My dad lives in Birmingham, Alabama and their was a tornado their this past weekend. He and the rest of my family out there are fine but he was telling me about everything going on.

So I know where the elements came from but as a whole, what does my dream... or nightmare really mean or does it mean anything at all!?

I can’t hold it in anymore... We did a thing and welcomed in a new member to the family. A little over a week ago we decided to adopted a terrier! . He has opened up a lot but still can be shy! He isn’t a big fan of going outside to pee in the morning (he hates being cold). He is not a guard dog but more so a warring dog!! 🤷🏾‍♀️ (barks then run is his speed). He gets spooked by his shadow & falling leaves. Working on it 😂 . However he is the most loving & curious dog. He loves to have his back rubbed, going on walks (again when it’s not cold) and hiding socks in his bed!! He loves when you throw his toys so he can fetch them but only to hide them back in his bed as well. Also he snores when he sleeps 😆 . I am sad and hurt,I am angry and confused, I am depressed, frustrated & so much more!! Last week I got the phone call saying I was being laid off from Disney after 7 years with the company. Later that day I said my goodbyes to my Cast and fellow Leads then shortly after that, I watched as my team get ripped apart. One by one, others from my department got their phone calls saying they had been laid off too. I am heartbroken… Not just for me but for my entire team! This week has been really tough on me but it is time to start a new adventure. I want to say thank you to everyone I have worked with at the Resort. You all have taught me so much & made my time with the company that much more magical!! I have made some life long friendships and memories and couldn’t be more grateful. As I sit here and remember the great times I had at Goofys Kitchen, ToonTown, Kingswell, The View and really all over the Resort, I remember why I applied for the job in the first place… There is truly no place like Disneyland!! I have always told my Cast, I am there for you not just with work but for anything and this statement still stands. I am not a Cast Member on paper anymore but I will always be one by heart!! I wish you all the absolute best in your future and if you need anything please reach out! For those who are confused on why the black community (and those within the black community) are devastated behind Chadwick Boseman’ death, let me explain.Chad played roles that embodied the true essence of who we are as Black people. He didn’t take the traditional slave roles, or roles where we overcame being black, or the gangster role, or the crackhead role. Chad embodied the true essence of who we are as Black people. We are lawyers breaking barriers (Thurgood Marshall). We are talented athletes ( 42 & the Express). We’re singers and songwriters (Get On Up). Last but certainly not least, we are Super Heroes ( Black Panther). This is the true essence and a mere glimpse of who we are as Black people. To lose a person, a legend, an icon, who embodied these roles to showcase for the world to see, hits home for all of us. Taken from us so young, but your memories will more than certainly live on. Falling

I understand there is many things in life that you cant control. So no mater what you just have to let things run its course, hope for the best and see what happens. However I feel like things are spiraling out of control and I am quickly slipping back into a depression.

I know this is a very bad state for me and want to catch myself but don't know how to. I feel the weight of the world, the weight of this pandemic and I feel like I am losing everything. My job... yes technically I have not been fired, I am just furloughed but I don't feel like I have a purpose currently. My heath is decreasing, my hair is literally thinning & falling out and I am breaking out all over my body. I don't have my own space anymore. I also feel like I am being judge every second of the day. No Im not working so there isn't much for me to do but I still feeling like its my fault. 

My love language is physical touch and quality time. Being stuck at home is really not helping me right now. I miss my friends, I miss meeting rae ndom people. I miss socializing out in public. I miss being able to hug someone. I feel like I see so many other still moving on and enjoying life in the mist of this pandemic and I am stuck. Granted we shouldn’t be out like its a normal day but that is so hard to believe when literally everyone around you isn't missing a beat. 

I don't know how to feel, how to act or how to change anything currently... I am falling and don't know how to catch myself.
