This is beautifully worded. I love how you've managed to keep Sonic so in character with how he's portrayed in the games. ❤️

Why did SEGA ask you to tone down Sonic’s expression from when he and Amy were hugging in Issue 35? Its really bizarre that they’d censor our beloved blue hedgehog’s emotions.

(For those not in the know, this is in reference to a WIP panel I shared where Sonic was blushing while Amy hugged him. In the final version, Sonic’s expression was changed to have much less blush and showing less surprise.)

It’s not bizarre, it’s keeping Sonic in-character; Sonic’s reluctance to show emotional vulnerability around others is a well-established part of his character. That’s not saying Sonic doesn’t feel vulnerability (or negativity), he’s just very private about expressing it and focuses on positivity and confidence around others. Thus, sometimes, if I draw or write something that’s a bit too much for him I’m asked to reel things back. He’s still expressing the same emotion, just in a way that’s in line with his character. Think of it like an actor giving a consistent performance.

People have been arguing over this for months as some sort of smoking gun proving that Sonic does or doesn’t like Amy, and I know my clarification here won’t stop them. The official stance on Sonic and Amy’s relationship remains the same and can be found with just a little research on wikis or Sonic Channel, nothing I’ve said or done is some great secret revealed. They like each other, but Sonic just isn’t the kind of guy who is going to make goo-goo eyes at Amy or perform grand acts of romance. If you wanna see that, that’s what fan works are for.

All three of our wonderful boys left us in just four months. Our world has been shattered. 💔 Kip, our kitty, was only between 4 and 6 years old. We expected to have him for 10 more years... We built our lives around including him in everything. We didn't get enough time.

I miss my boys so much. Every day has been a painful slog to get through.

I'm not here to like. Cause a fight or anything but being pro-gun isn't inherently a right wing position. Most leftists (as in marxists, anarchists, etc) are pro-gun bc they think that a well armed working class is necessary for a successful revolution. Marx himself supported this.

I’m so sorry for your loss....I just recently lost two of my kitties within two weeks of each other. It hurts a lot but they are all in a better place. And they know that they are loved 💚

I'm so sorry, that's rough. We lost all three of our animal companions in the span of 4 months. I just keep reminding myself of how lucky we are to have gotten to experience them and give them a happy life.

This sweet doofus passed away yesterday while en route to the ER. He had sudden heart failure during a routine vet checkup. We knew he had an underdeveloped heart since the day we adopted him, but we didn't expect him to go so soon. He was only about 4 years old.

Sleep well, little buddy. You were one of a kind and I'm so sorry. You deserved far more time than you were given.

Masato Nakamura confirms that “Emerald Hill” will be used in the Sonic Movie Sequel

Masato Nakamura, composer for Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992) for the SEGA Genesis, has expressed in his blog how overjoyed he is to have his music being used in a Hollywood production, while also confirming that Emerald Hill will not be used only for the teaser.

“I am very happy to share the news. One of my compositions, “Emerald Hill Zone” will be used in the movie “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” which will come out in 2022. When I composed the music for “Sonic the Hedgehog 1&2”, I tried to write a soundtrack for the movie. I imagined the game like a movie. After 30 years later, my music for the game becomes a part of the movie soundtrack of “Sonic the Hedgehog”. Literally, it’s a dream comes true.”

A piano rendition of Green Hill Zone was used in the first Sonic Movie, and now fans will have to wait and see how Emerald Hill Zone will be used in the sequel.
