Current desk situation: organic chem notes from last year, current notes, overflowing binder of things to do (including a grant proposal due in a few months????), biochem and chem textbook that I neglected until too late (do yourself a favour and don’t fall behind on readings). Not seen in this picture: post-lab reports that I haven’t finished because I have a biochem midterm in a few days, my personal lab notebook (I also accidentally brought home my official lab notebook oops), and papers, papers, papers everywhere. On the plus side I’m finally out of my studying slump!

(The flowers are for Chinese New Year, let’s hope I don’t kill them this time)

You have a unique style of note taking (I love your aesthetic btw) and that’s quite refreshing because the vast majority of studyblrs do their notes the same way. Since my notes don’t look anything like the “classic studyblr notes” either, your blog is actually kind of a cool reminder that I don’t have to do things the way everyone else does them to make them look beautiful. So thanks for that :)

Aww, that’s really sweet of you to say! Whenever I posted my notes on tumblr, I used to see other people posting in the “classic studyblr” way and I felt like I wasn’t good enough >.

And yeah, if you want to run a studyblr, all you gotta do is study and make notes and post them online. Don’t feel pressurized to make your notes look like a certain way just because that’s how everyone does it, or buy expensive stationery just because it’s so famous in our community! You do you, and do what makes you feel happy~
